Natually aspirated V8, larger rear seat/cab/better storage solutions, and no forced white interior on Ram are key wins for me(although you can get the Frost/Blue interior on Ram Limited). Sure, folks will point to Toyota and their reliability which they've certainly earned. I still remained frustrated with Toyota for delivering a truck that wasn't a true knock out after 17 years of selling the previous model(which ironically had a bigger cab). Even the Hybrid system seems inferior to Ford's Powerboost since it is less powerful/slower and doesn't have anything to compete with Ford's onboard power generator.

Good video! It would be a though choice for me at this time. I owned a 2004 Tundra, had it for 14 years. No leaks, minimal maintenance and just shirt of 300k miles. Towing MPG was terrible, day-to-day was not bad. I would have looked at Toyota for my new truck if they have something bigger than a half-ton. But after 20 years of owning Toyota's I am back to Ford and GM.

Wish Toyota would start putting up some respectable payload numbers. I had a 2013 Tundra and loved it but got rid of it because I needed more payload.

Nice trucks. I've been a Ram owner for 5 years. I'd prefer to tow with the Ram but would probably prefer to daily the Toyota. Main thing though, the white interior is nuts for a man's truck. My center console and everything they have the white accent on literally takes the most abuse in the truck. Otherwise. very nice.

It’s like the Toyota had four designers who were given the dimensions of the space they needed to fill , but they didn’t really talk to each other. Ram used to have a tough truck look, but now they are looking more sleek and refined. That may be what some are looking for but I think Ram needs to get a little more aggressive looking. Good side by side as usual!🇺🇸💪

Totally off subject, but for your 3500 high country gasser have you heard of the procharger supercharger for the 6.6? Just curious if that is something you would be willing to try I think it said boost it up to 600 hp and 700 lb of torque, no idea how legit this is or if it would work with the 2024, says models 20-23, just curious

The toyota will have better resale value in 5-7 years but that power train is new and unproven. Both are overpriced by $20,000 👎

That hybrid powertrain is gonna be a nightmare at 10yrs and 180k. Might as well forget about reliability. Once on level ground no one would EVER take a Toyota over a domestic brand. Cuz reliability is the whole point

In some cases the black appearance package just looks cheap and it’s an expensive option in the end. It doesn’t make sense

The RAM does have heater/AC on the outside of the screen, so you don't have to be in the screen to get to these controls!

The white in that Toyota is going to get dirty quick with anyone who uses that truck for work.

I have always loved the RAM post 2019 refresh but I worry about the reliability vs a Ford or GMC/Chevy. Anyone have experience with a high mileage current gen 1500?

Check out Truck Central he has a 5th gen Ram with over 200,000 miles. No real major issues, just wear and tear.

I just sold my 2014 Ram 1500 5.7, had 121k miles. Only issue had the manifold bolts replaced. Not a single leak ran like a top and got 20mpg. If you get a new Ram just keep up on the oil changes and maintenance schedule and they are actually pretty impressive.

Several YT'ers have high mileage 5th gens with high-reliability over the years. Whats even more interesting is JDP has ranked Ram higher than any 1/2 ton for the past 2 years on dependability and quality.

Nothing against Toyota but I would take the Ram. Quality for Quality you would think the Toyota would be better but just take a look at the interiors and build quality. The toyota's center console and many interior bits feel cheap, where Rams feel solid. Also I can't believe how lacking on storage the Tundra is. No dual glove boxes, no underseat storage on the hybrids, no optional bedside storage. Oh and where is the 4wd Auto on the Tundra, even my Big Horn Ram has Auto 4wd. Only thing the Tundra has that I really like is the full roll down rear window.

Gotta remember loaded up trucks always have the worse payload. Have fun driving the Maverick at max payload tho...
