Ah, the Year of Living Dunngerously! 🤣 Glad you had a blast and were able to provide us with both useful advice and well-needed diversion. Couple of "quick" questions though. Have you ever done videos on one, how you avoided covid given how much traveling you did (assuming that you did avoid it, I ended up getting it towards the tail end of the pandemic and while unpleasant it wasn't any worse than the flu), and two, how you stay in shape when traveling light given that you can't really take much exercise equipment with you. The answers to both are fairly obvious but I thought that maybe you had some personal insights and advice pertaining to either or both. Otherwise, thanks again and have a happy, adventurous and safe 2024, to you and everyone else!

Great questions! (And I love the "Dunngerously" reference - ha ha) I keep my immune system strong with supplements, and if I feel something coming on I take vitamin C or Oil of Oregano or Turmeric etc For fitness, I run, hike, join local gyms, and I take a resistance band for some basic exercises. I exercise daily!

@@NoraDunn Oh, I Dunno, the bad puns keep coming... 🤣 I normally wouldn't be this familiar with someone I didn't know but you seem to have a somewhat goofy (in a good way) sense of humor that makes it seem appropriate. And, although I hike too, albeit not nearly enough, and run, cycling is my favorite form of exercise and I'm hoping to get back into it after a several year hiatus (bad accident that could have been way worse but thankfully wasn't), but it doesn't exactly lend itself to travel, at least of the sort that you do. Yeah, there's gym bikes but I've never liked them, so borrowing or renting is probably the way to go. But running is really the ideal travel exercise, requiring so little in terms of gear and time. Now traveling by bike, that seems like the ultimate in combining both!

@@kovie9162 I'm not built for 2 wheels unless they're motorized LOL! But it is a great way to get exercise and also to see the landscape and get around.

@@NoraDunn Yeah cycling isn't for everyone. Expensive, somewhat dangerous, technical, takes time (because it's so efficient), not fun in cold, damp or windy weather, etc. Plus it's not exactly something that mixes well with extended travel for obvious reasons. But the occasional destination-based day or overnight trip with a rented or borrowed bike can be a great way to see the surrounding countryside. Check out one of Bettina Selby's bike adventure books. She's a travel writer who's written extensively about her solo bike trips around the world. Great reading.

Happy holidays! Have you ever covered the value of personal item trackers like Apple AirTags, Tile Pro tags, SmartTags, etc? I think I have about 7 AirTags on me when I travel, including one in my wallet, one with my passport, one with my personal carry-on, two with my backpack (main bag, two places), one with myCPAP, and one with my medications. This saved me when I left an item (CPAP) on an international flight. Airport personnel kept saying the item wasn't on my previous flight, and I was able to show them precisely where it was. They finally relented and got the item. Also, if anybody runs off with my stuff, they'll have a hard time finding and pulling out all the AirTags, I think.

Love the travel vids! From a rookie traveler going to Thailand for three weeks in February should I get travel insurance moving to Thailand in September? Which insurance company do you suggest? Thanks Ray
