You can still find those bobbers with the toothpicks in my dad's tackle box for ice fishing LOL. I used to go ice fishing at a lake here in Wisconsin where they handmade those bobbers out of wine bottle corks. You had cordage wrapped around a board and you'd let the bait down over one hundred feet and then put the toothpicks in the bobber so the minnow would be a foot high off the bottom then you'd dead stick the bait. All this was done in a shack while ice fishing the deepest lake in Wisconsin, Green Lake. We would catch lake trout
I wish we could trade our crappy fishing show for that one. Ours is half boats that I can't afford and 1/4 guides that I could afford but none of them are full-time catfish guides. I would fly out there but bringing fishing rods on a plane are kind of a hassle so I get to watch these videos instead I kinda wish someone would "tape" some of the seminars and post them.
