I miss that thing so much. Where she shines is on cornering, the bike is extremely agile. And on pulls she comes alive after 8k rpm. Once you throw an exhaust on there it feels completely different and sounds amazing with arrow. I had some overheating issues and false fuel lights but once I switched to a full exhaust it eliminated heating issues and replaced the fuel assembly twice. Issue with false fuel light persisted but Ducati told me it was by design. Also one of the few bikes where you actually feel the difference in sport mode.
Yes if you have some control with not speeding and being responsible you can even start on a more powerful bike. This bike feels light and nimble and also the controls are super easy, which is more important than even the power of the bike.
@@hellfire08many people do just fine. I took the MF course and bought a r6 as my first bike, but I also don't ride like a maniac. Throttle control and common sense.
@@hellfire08 I started on a panigale v2. It was a reduced power mode with smooth throttle, wheelie control and traction control. It's a pretty expensive first bike and definitely can get yourself in some trouble even in reduced power mode. It's not for everyone but I wouldn't say it's bad to start on it.
955cc with almost 160hp, more than enough power for the streets + some extra. But yeah it’s a “baby bike” lmao. Pretty much no one is even able to drive a 600cc bike to its limit on public roads already.
@@rotirot3362you to far 400cc are enough for many roads and some don't use full potential of it too. I have Duke 390 still i find difficulty to use full potential on road streets
Thx for the review, Manny. This was truly an honest first ride review (with 2 miles on the bike). I've had my '22 V2 for two years and a month now and had the same reactions in my first ride (bike shutting off, hard to find neutral, kick stand pulling a Houdini, and brakes). I'm coming from having owned (2) 600's and (5) liter bikes and the break in is different for the V2. I actually read the manual because there were only three reviews that were online back then (there weren't many V2 reviews out back then). But your review is spot on with what I experienced. I appreciate the video and you were right; that color in the sun!!! BEAUTIFUL!
@@Motomillion i disagree. Power has alot to do with it. If you put someone on 150hp super bike who doesn’t know how to properly shift gears, and doesn’t have honed throttle control, things will most likely not end well for them.
Up until 620 miles and me resetting the oil light and removing the charcoal cannister, my V2 would die constantly coming up to a light, its on 700ish miles now and hasn't died coming up to a stop in my last 3-4 rides, but we shall see. And even after removing the charcoal cannister it was still constantly dying coming up to a stop and hitting nuetral. Seems to be super common on this model, I took my cannister off and plugged it around 150 miles. Another thing I would recommend is changing the oil at 200-300 miles before the first service, tons of junk in that first oil change.
Bro! Just took delivery of my black V2, 3 weeks ago, traded in my 2021 V2. You mention the feel of the quick shifter, I can say going from 21' to 24', the clunky feeling from 1st to 2nd has been dramatically improved! Also, don't ever trust that gas light!!
@@Motomillion And as you have done, thanks to your website, before my 1st ride, I already had the radiator guard, tank protector, throttle spacers and brake caliper spacers on hand, ready for install. I appreciate your company's commitment to quality, keep up the good work!
I agree w/u Manny. I think a lot of these joker’s commenting on you, just do not get it. As you said previous, it is the world we inhabit now & just take it as it comes. Do not ride around with little or no regard for others on the roads. Be they Rider’s, Driver’s, and / or Pedestrian’s. Manny thank you for your well thought out additions to the world of ground transport and motor sport. You are a good bloke mate 🦘🇦🇺 ☮️ out. 🤩 Hooroo fm West Oz.
I have a Ducati Panigale v2 (2021) and BMW S1000rr (2022) and the 0-100 is way faster on this than the BMW. Even though the BMW is quicker top end with all the hp. Currently I run a full titanium from AK, but I used Mivv Delta Race before, which is a slip on with one pipe out on the right side of the bike. The pops and bangs that MIVV gave was down low with shifting. And the AK just gives a very nice grumble of pops downshifting. Without the DB it sounds like a MotoGP bike! I am planning to add the South African Rotobox Carbon BOOST rims, you can check they have 50% red 50% black, looks insane and I think it will fit your black and red theme build very nicely. I am planning to put them on my S1K too. I use UpMap here in China and now run the AK map on the ECU. But I asked Brentune if they can send me a map and device to China and they said yes, I saw their numbers are pretty impressive.
Manny good to see you took her out. It is such a noticeable audible difference from stock exhaust to full akro. And the bike runs you about the same range as a v4 money. I’m already sittin around 35 for mine. And not done w mods ether. Don’t cheep out w a slip on. Haha come on now I went full system. You can’t let lil ol nobody me be runnin full exhaust w it and you just go slip on. Haha It also feels a bit different w the race map too. I absolutely love the way this bike feels and I can’t wait for the summer time. In an extreme street rider and a track rider enthusiast. I can’t wait to play her this riding season. By the way on my first mods I forgot to say I got the clear clutch cover w the rest of stuff I listed the last time. Ready to see what you do w her next.
I bought a V4S in 21 because my Aprilia Mille needs new radiators, I'd just sold a property and it made sense, the V4S is a tad daunting compared to my old Aprilia which nobody ever got the better of me on twisty roads..
Beautiful color, thanks for the review - I have a 21 V2 and it's the most agile bike I have owed and most fun in canyon riding. A good portion of my build for this bike is from MOTOMILLION! keep it up, my man.
Hey Manny, Love the V2 and look forward to the build. FYI - the indicator/signal turns off automatically after you make your turn... I still turn mine off out of habbit haha.
Mad love brother!!! Great to see you! You guys are not doing repetitive, don’t let the haterz get to you boss! Brush em off of your shoulder like lint! 💚🦾👍🫡🥷🏽🫶
I’m torn between red and black hate the gloss red but that black is really good looking just don’t knw if you can see the lines of the bike with a black colour on.
Manny, question. If you were in your mid-50's, still wanted lot of fun riding (backroads, etc), and expected to keep the bike for years, would you go with the Diavel V4 or the Panigale V2? Ignoring the price difference.
Im about to order the tail tidy from you guys. Question: Is the tidy always hiding the plate like that, or can you get the plate a bit more straight so it'll be more visible to others? By others, I mean cops, I just dont wa t to get negative attention. Lol, TIA.
This build would be definitely helpful for my V2 mods planned. Eagerly waiting for the Arrow slip on and other mods related to exhaust and tuning. Please consider delivering the products to India. The price of full system Akrapovic for V2 in India is quite high.
The V2 has to have more low-end torque than the V4R because being a 2-cylinder the pistons have a larger diameter and their stroke is longer than a V4R.
Your wright about the the mirrors. Im still deciding what too about mine. I can't put indicators where mirrors are mounted. Because it isn't legal. I'm thinking bar end mirrors. Or is there something else that mounts?Where original mirrors mounted. Are there any good mirrors with built in indicators?
Surprisingly the Rizoma Stealth mirrors work really well for my size of person. You will still need to pull up your elbow to clearly see behind, but it is a good compromise from the stock mirrors where you can't see anything out of because of the shake. These mount where the original mirrors mount, and you can get the optional turn signals on the side where they are extremely bright. You can see them here : www.motomillion.com/collections/ducati-panigale-v2/mirrors
its a shame they cant sort out small details when it is such a nice bike, your paying a premium so all that little stuff shouldnt even be an issue....especially when they are already aware of it
Thinking of getting this around july. Is it a good option for someone that had a superduke, currently have a sportster s and a z h2 for a 3rd supersport? Thanks!
I noticed that you used Shell gas. In 1970 I bought a Honda 750 K2 I did some experimenting with different brands of gas. I was trying to find the gas that would not foul my spark plugs as much. Shell was the worst then came Chevron, Mobile was a little better the best was Flying A (they were discontinued) equal to that was Union 76 they still have a few stations in California. For Arizona where I live now is Valero. The best price is Sam club but they just use whatever is the least expensive gas. And Costco is owned by China. I have not owned a motorcycle for about 23 years my second wife (now deceased) would not let me own one. She was afraid I would get killed on one. Now it is just my daughter and I . I’m looking for a bike in a couple of years to supplement my joy of driving my 20 year old Corvette. God Bless.
Nice review Manny, however you talk in the video and in your description about a lighter bike whereas truth is that the V2 is 2kgs heavier than the V4S. Dry weight for both bikes. Both bikes have a 17L fuel tank. The V2 is 2 kgs heavier according to official Ducati website and the bikes owner's manuals.
It's a 1 lb. difference between the V2 and V4S... 385 lbs. vs 384 lbs. for dry weight. 10 lb. difference for wet weight in favor of the V4S, though it has lots of carbon bits that make that possible.
Awesome review I'm thinking of buying two red Panigale V2s for my twin boys so they can keep up with me on my Diavel V4. It seems there is no other bike that compares to the new Ducati Panigale V2 in terms of power, style, and electronic features. We looked at the Aprillas but they fell short on performance, specifically HP. Slow Rider out.
Yes, you heard it right. The power has nothing to do with it. You want a light, nimble, easy to control and friendly bike. This checks all those boxes. A scooter is fast enough to get you in serious trouble if you are reckless with it.
You do realize some of Ducati's fastest bikes are V2's right? The V4 has only been out since 2018. It's a matter of what the rider wants.Always remember a few killers are stalking around on mislabeled H2R ram airs , unrestricted.👍💀
"A baby small engine superbike..." what the hell this guys references is so weird, "a Ducati missing two cylinders...". For me as a sport bike rider since early 90s, a small size sportbike is a 400cc, middle size 600cc and big size is around 1000cc and up, also for me the typical and ultimate Ducati is and always was a 90 deg twin cylinder, nice Ducati still make them and I wish Aprilia kept the V-twins like the RSV Mille.
V twins have always been given extra CC allowance to compete against their inline 4 brothers. This bike competes against 600cc inline 4's. Also I believe this bike is in it's last year of production so you might see Ducati's next middleweight being a 600cc+ v4.
Unbelievable they STILL have the same crappy mirrors....and damn I was SO hoping they would LOSE the heavy assed single sided swingarm! 15 extra pounds for a bling gimmick? Seriously? Is the market THAT ignorant?
Lets be honest people should not purchase full fairing 150+bhp sports bikes to ride around city streets. How full size sport bikes perform in town; stop light to stop light in 1st gear is really nonsensical (Heat, vibrations, mirrors, etc.) Same as taking any low displacement bike/scooter to the track and review it of course low displacement bikes can go around a track but not well so why ride or review one there? I still think the black on black V2 is the best looking Ducati in the showroom today.
It's pretty flat and straight in South Florida so you have a challenge for sure...where's the nearest road with lots of turns and you can ride fast enough to keep the V2 engine in it's powerband (RPM range) and keep it leaned over most of the time for riding comfort? What's the nearest racetrack to Miami@@Mr_everything10 . Then take out a Ducati Scrambler and review it around town where it belongs or get a Desert-X and review it off road...In short ride and review bikes for their intended designs and targeted use cases. If you want to review a good all-rounder then review a Ducati Multistrada and take that on and off-road, City/hwy with luggage etc. like it was designed for.
ps. Mirrors on sports bikes are an oxymoron, they are not on the bike at the track; nor is anyone racing up a canyon road above the speed limit on a sports bike thinking about shaky mirrors for their safety.
City outskirts street test on an Italian sports bike?! What’s the point of that?! Sorry fella, don’t mean any disrespect, but the most irrelevant test I’ve ever viewed.
