Calvin went for the putt because of Ricky. He had a bad break, but Calvin wanted to prove it didn’t matter how good Ricky did, there was no catching him anyway.

@@JustinWayneDawg Yep, Ricky has always struck me as having one of the "youngest" mentalities on tour. He's extremely talented, of course, but very emotional and streaky. Add his super-competitiveness on there and I bet it's not the most fun to have him on your card.

The boys couldn't comprehend Calvin running the put on 16? He wanted to put it in Rick's face. Watch Calvin's tee on 16, Rick walks up behind him trying to get in his head. Vinny wasn't having it! Then, Calvin's up shot on 17 was in response to Rick walking in front of him on the green of 16. Thinkin' Ricky might be slippin' and he does not like it.

I think Calvin goes for it on 16 and 17 to make a statement to Ricky that the good vs bad break on 16's wall didn't matter. And boy did it not matter, except in Ricky's head. In that headspace, Ricky was rude walking in front of Calvin tapping his disk in on 16, and then on 17 Calvin knew the best statement was just demolishing him in score.

Please jomez start rendering/uploading your videos in 1440p or 4k resolutions. This gives videos better codec and better bitrates so it will look much less mushy and blocky in motion. The end product is miles better in quality.

Love to see the disc fly on a big open course. Calvin was a driving and putting machine. Rathbun is someone to watch. Ricky's kicking himself tonight...but he'll be back. I love watching disc golf but why are the trophies so cheap, like their made of plastic. The winners deserve better!

About Calvin laying up on 16: What Jerm and Uli dont understand that the man is in the zone, has not missed a putt all day. Why would you even consider laying up if you know you will make it? The safest spot is in the bucket. Stick to your gameplan. Playing aggressive is what got Calvin into the spot he was in, why would he change it?
