A correction to my statement in the video - this 117 is not liquid cooled like the one on the Road Glides and Street Glides. Air and oil cooled only on the breakout. I was informed wrong at the demo area before the ride.
How you silently cursed out that idiot rider passing you on solid double yellow lines on a curve at 6:20 was priceless. I felt your frustration through the screen 😂😂😂🤙🏾👍🏾
@@MOTOBLADEsame here I was like what the heck clown! You went quiet like biting your tongue. I love this bike, I’m surprised you didn’t pick your favorite color. The choices are hard but the green you had is unique so maybe that one for me. I don’t like the cookie cutter black red gray white…let’s get some cool color on these bikes
@@HeCoversMe Orange and black is my favorite combo in the world, wish they offered that. From the choices they offer I would go with the “alpine green” I was on. Very good looking bike.
Yours is not the only review that says this bike isn't the most comfortable. In fact, many of them say it's the worst HD for riding for more than an hour. Give me the Low Rider ST if I want the 117 engine.
I don’t know all their ‘fancy’ names like this one (alpine green) but they also come in blue, silver, gray, and black with classic orange stripe on the tank. I think the black and orange probably looks the best. It is a Harley after all 😎
Quite surprised by your assessment of the Breakout handling-wise. Haven't ridden one myself but can't recall any other reviews that gave such a positive assessment of this bike for handling. Definitely makes me want to take it out for a test ride. Well done ! (P.S. Just wondering what your height and weight are, which can make a big difference in handling any given bike).
@@MOTOBLADE I'm a bit surprised. I would expect more weight and height (longer limbs) would be needed to handle this bike easily, due to the fat rear wheel and forward foot controls, further back seat, and straight bars. Good riding skills/technique probably compensate. At 5'7"/145lbs and only a few years riding experience with a Sportster, I expect the Breakout would be a handful.
@@bernardlesperance742 hey I went from my first bike being a Vulcan s up to an Indian Chieftain Dark Horse. You can handle any bike. Just slowly build your time and skills on it
@@MOTOBLADE That's like skipping a few grades in school ! Impressive ! Actually, I've got my sights on a pre-2018 softail (twin cam) Fat Boy. Just love 'em !
@@bernardlesperance742 hey I did the grade skipping thing too 😂 it was worth it though. I like being on an “old man bike”. Comfy. Great sound system. Hard to beat. Just rode it 700 miles today across the desert on Route 66 and it handled like a beast. The old fat boys are AWESOME! good luck man! Have fun with it
@@strwf you are correct. I just double checked on that. I was told wrong then about the engine on here before I took off on the demo ride. Good catch, thank you
No USB that I could find. For steering lock I did not check, I’m used to Harley’s having that either on the switch or with a key on the steering tube area, if I had to guess I would say it probably does, but I’m not 100% sure. Checked Harley’s website for you too and I couldn’t find an answer on their website 🤷🏼♂️
I will take comfort in over “cool looks” any day. And the road glide looks cool too! It’s just so much more comfortable to actually ride. You WANT to go for longer rides on a bike like that
@@midlife-crysis #1, it’s not broken in. #2, the Harley’s all have a limiter set on them anyway for the demo rides. #3, I’m not in the mood for a speeding ticket 🤷🏼♂️
