Reviews like this are what make sports bikes still the ultimate buzz in the motorcycle world. Absolute weapon ,hats off to Honda for keeping the class alive and updated. Neeves reviews are always #1 , always look forward to his opinions .
I can appreciate other bikes and have ridden many types but even when someone else rides passed and I'm walking, the excitement a sports bike gives for me is unrivalled. Still got my K5 1000 in full Yoshi engine tune, but this has got my interest 😲
I didn’t see Neevsy that excited for sometime and it shows how great the bike from his reaction, i think I wasn’t wrong about my choice for the next bike.
Wow man we love your reviews...You provide such a valuable informations, so precise, pin point review....hopefully u keep doing more! Litetally u just say what people want to hear and it's not just me, i've talked to all or my friends Great job srsl!
All of the changes made are going to make this Blade the one to beat in the coming years. The icing on the cake is the aesthetic design, just gorgeous.
Only the SP version available in the UK? There was a time when bikers could afford a Fireblade. What did Ducati say a few weeks ago. “If you want a Ferrari you have to pay Ferrari prices”!!! Great review Michael, your enthusiasm for this new Blade shone through and made me want it even more! But I guess on reflection many bikes when fully specced command similar prices to the Fireblade SP these days.
difference is if you buy a "ferrari" or a ducati, the real cost is hidden-its the long term ownership, and the maintenance costs far surpass the original costs of ownership the honda the price is up front, with no long term costs except oil changes. no maintenance. no breakdowns. no issues whatsoever.
Great work as always guys! Can't wait for the top dog shootout. And maybe the 600 shootout? Which would be more like a comparison since there's only two of them now lol
Great video Michael your smile enthusiasm said so much about the bike as well as the tech information. I like the new format with Joseph getting a speaking part 😊 great video 👍👍👍
Honda need to go too a V4! They’re running back of the pack in WSBK, and they’re not even on the grid in domestic championships outside BSB. MotoAmerica or ASBK. Soichiro Honda would be shamed of the current state of Honda racing.
Wish Honda would make a naked version. They don't have anything to compete with things like my ZH2SE, Street Fighter V4's and the like. My first bike was CBR 600 F2 so I have a soft spot for them.
Nice detailed review, thank you. Clearly some very extensive development with some cool new features like the split throttle bodies. Nice to finally see adjustable options for ABS settings added too. One thing not mentioned that has me curious, what's with Honda's unwavering reluctance to equip their top tier track focused bike with braided brake lines? Surely it's not a cost cutting measure. Given the price of the bike, the difference in cost to equip at factory is an insignificant percentage. Likewise the idea the bike is aimed at racing and most bikes will have the ABS removed etc. seems an unreasonable justification given all the other bits clearly aimed at the consumer level, such as revised ergos and electronic suspension.
One of the benefits of having longer gearbox ratios was that it provided an excuse to tell the police when they pulled you over....."Officer, I was going 120kph?...but I was still in 1st gear.....I'm quite sorry, I will try to be more careful with that now."
Im pretty sure Honda is actually run by a Batman villain. They simultaneously make the world's most average cars and sensible motorcycles while also making the Blackbird and race bikes that melt your spleen. I've been diagnosed as bipolar, and I definitely see a kindred spirit in them 😅
Great video, what is it about Hondas ,they just surprise, amazing handling, sizzling engines and thats in comparison to my KTM RC8 and Benelli TNT 1130.The VFR 1200,somewhat modified is the Q bike if ever there was one.
Didn't want to go off-topic but I have to ask... That Jacket you're wearing on the interview. I've been looking but couldn't find it. Alpinestars SP-5 looked a little like it but that wasn't it. Do you mind telling me what it was? Cheers mate! 🤜 🤛
On the European bike specialness point, it is important to recognise the build quality and reliability of the Honda. They are different, not better, so choose your preferences. I have both so speak from experience, not bias. Clearly this Fireblade is more than we will ever need up to Superstock racing..
Dean Harrison is going to finally win the TT on a superbike this year i reckon. The 2019 senior win Hicky had a 20 second lead when it stopped working properly. I know MD has the Hawk Honda but I'm putting my money on Harrison for the 1st SBK TT win. I don't think it will stand a chance on short circuits against the Ducati still. The BSB championship is Glen Irwins to lose, i think. Would like to know more about the ABS because i simply don't trust abs on a bike, the only bike i had with abs i had it removed because its was dangerous. (2014 cbr). Or it felt dangerous anyway, i want to be in control and want the brakes to do as they're told, not what they assume i want them to do. When these deprecate to where i can afford one i doubt removing abs will be so easy, so its got to be good or I'll just not buy a newer bike again.
