In the end you’re obsessing over seconds worth of value if you find yourself caring that much. Sure if you want to do it, go for it, but you shouldn’t feel bad for not try Harding as hard as possible in a video game. Especially when you’re only gonna end up saving like 30 seconds at most in a kill.

@@TheSCPStudio oh, I definitely go back and forth and I'm not loosing sleep over it or anything. There's quite a bit ill forgo on days I just don't feel like or even content that just doesn't matter for it. Luckily melee is a style you can cut a piece at a time and not lose a bunch at once. Not like magic or ranged where cutting out one piece of the puzzle makes it a lot worse. Just as I was saying it can feel bad to not do some of it when there's not much to it.

My dude has an Ezk for a cleave switch, dismember scourge is a much bigger deal lol

@IIxIxIv yeah. Lol. I will say that a physical ezk for Cleave and Cane is the only thing I'm missing for bis melee and it's a low priority over other things for me. A t92 is just fine for those. Dismember scourge adds wya more than that would. I do get the feeling of wanting to keep it simple though. Pre rework, I enjoyed camping lengs at zammy rather than bothering with scourge because you're not needing to build the same way. I get it.

Dont forget 2h swap for hurricane and for some sweaty pvmers a scourge swap for the bleed rotation

yeah they removed hurricane from dw after the combat update. atleast my physical ezk now gets slightly more use now

Melee got a few last minute updates to try and keep it somewhat balanced before vestments came out, and they've just been in the game ever since. It's a fun style to pull all the damage on, as the input vs reward is there. Sweat out some good rotations, get some really good damage.

​@@satragohd1342generally id recommend going for best in slot on one combat style before doing others.

Dummy dpm and boss dpm aren't necessarily comparable, but you have noticed the main strength/weakness of melee. It's very strong in burst damage, moreso DPS, but over a long period its dpm can be rather lackluster. It's why you see it typically used in hybrid formats, because berserk rotations are very strong.

I'm on a 1440p monitor, which physically has a lot more pixels than 1080. Monitor size doesn't matter so much, it's the resolution

Dlong eof is half the adren of ags and can hit almost 30k in zerk

not all 4, just the first hit is guaranteed. Overpower is another good abil for gfury, or the leng spec, basically anything you want to hit really high and have a better chance at that is ideal

@@TheSCPStudio you do you is a good approach for long term destruction of rs3 combat. Power creep does indeed exist when all mechanics are skipped just how you saw in the video

Switches have been core to RuneScape's combat system since before RuneScape was what most knew as classic with adamant 2H swaps and locked 3 hit combos. It was the core of skill expression in RuneScape's golden era in the then endgame of wildly or arena. Even in slayer or the limited bosses of the era special switches were ubiquitous. They are very optional already, especially for necromancy which doesn't even need defensive ability switching. I'd be sad to see gear switching killed. Regular significant style switching is a bit much, I do think one off IotH casts were largely better for the game, yet it's very optional end game optimization only. What vision do you have for no switches and how would that improve the game? How would you retain that core component of Runescape's identity or would you purge it? Who is the target audience of this and do you believe it compromises segments of players with a history tied to the system like 15-20+ year veterans or returning players, or even cross transfer from OSRS? Do you see a problem in losing the ability to regularly leverage tools acquired through large investment in gold or grind from culling switches? Do you have an alternative to leave room for skill expression from the veteran players should this tech go? I'm quite curious what your grand vision looks like and how you would address it's opportunity costs.

@@catbasedied5972 ive played for 15 years. Switches are different today. There is no need for them in the modern game as we saw with necro. Typical switchscape Andy response. Slavery was a core aspect of Rome; didn't make it a good place to live.
