2024 RS3 Ranged DPS Guide | Post Combat Update 

From what I understand, maxed ranged gear with revo is the highest dpm revo choice. Using manual dbow specs, SGB, and Eldritch help turn top tier revo into even higher dps than some other styles with relative ease. Best of luck!!

I remember trying that one before, but at the time the spec was weird, target only activation also consumes 1 gcd from the total duration, don't know if it change tho

Decimation EoF is pretty decent if you got a BOLG and preferring to bow camp without needing to go through the awkward swapping. At least for me, I like using BOLG spec with decimation spec. All hits will trigger BOLG stacks. I am just use to it at this point. I also use deathspores while going through the dungeon which helps a bit.

I've seen swapping to dspore on Grico for zam specifically, but it seems more likely to compensate for ds cd getting shorter from one of the circle effects. Switching between wen n ful sounds op ngl, I'll have to play with it

@@CarguyRS if you watch any of the 100s world records they use it to renew their critbuff at p3, and base use the free adren for an ds on pad 6 so witcher charges pad 5 after it to fully benefit the deathswift from base. it is clever but very smart to incorporate it with the rapid fire buff

@@johnspencer8982 saradomin bow, not the tier 92 seren but the T55 variant. It's spec got a buff arouns the time of posting that when used with T92/T95 with an essence of finality it healed around the same value of Excalibur. Only it costs adren to use and has no cooldown I think it's like 30% adrenaline or so? Been on ESO instead of RS3 for the last couple months

@@johnspencer8982 depends on your set up. It's not a bug it's a literal buff. The reworked quite a few of the older spec weapons about 4 months back. With bolg I get good heals. If I double smack it after a hydrix proc(I dw/2h swap still for adren/flanking) then you get practically a full heal with two specs. It doesn't have a cool down like dbow so you can just smack it every now and then and it plus ss means you rarely need food.

Guthix bow does seem like a decent balance between the two, but again haven't really needed the sustain anywhere as of yet. Could be nice on more budget setups where Dpm isn't as high, thus soul split isn't healing as much.

@@CarguyRS Only time I use it at is Masuta's Water Phase and sometimes HM Vorkath. I also recently found out you can use both saradomin spec and guthix spec around the same time. The healings do stack. Whether it's good or not is another story but I was actually surprised they stack.

If you have 3 stacks, bolg spec only hits once, but would put you on stack four with spec active (using special attack counts for its own hit) thus giving you a second bolg spec hit

zam i usually burn through a decent amount of food, but other places soul split does a lot of the heavy lifting. also resing at certain points (cannon at glacor) is what ill do if i need aditional healing boss specific guides are coming soon, so hopefully those will be more helpful

The ideas behind DPS still apply, focusing on 2x sgb/snap, a tendrils and a rapid or two depending on timing, and ecbing well. Needle strike is the only different ability, and you'll end up pressing it a lot as it buffs your next abil by 7% damage (its DW's version of dazing shot) Most people used to do an offhand blight with a barrows dye for a caroming swap to buff grico, so they could keep the main dps perks on their blight set. the same EoF's apply (sgb/ecb/dbow) and i just camped hydrix bolts since the adren helped with more dark bow spam. I'd still probably bring a bow swap just for deathspore arrows, so i could get a free incendiary shot before DS, and it could just be something simple like a zaryte bow or deci. Hope this helps also, I never tried poison build on crossbows, but i'd imagine w/o bik arrows it'd be pretty bad.

​@@RankedZeroif you're still trying cbow build, consider using ruby bolts when you don't need adren. Good example is at the start of DS you can hydrix grico and adren pot for full adren then swap to rubies for your SGB and then back to hydrix for rapid fire. Also onyx bolts can sometimes be useful for healing when you're spamming ecb specs without a reaver. Physical ecb with bolts can still net crazy DPS if you don't have 3b for a bolg

Wouldn't even need the regular draco imo, could probably get away with t90 sirenic and use that money for other stuff

@@CarguyRS I just figured it’s not that expensive and offers bow buffs and can be upgraded later via scales.

I’m not an active player anymore, but I think the 2 global cooldowns here are the issue. It’s already pretty tight to fit everything in. Better to use DBOW with BOLG proc to move straight into another ability. But I could be wrong here

ill swap to cinders if a boss is poisonable, but have mostly stopped using rf boots. its one of my gripes with separating out bows/crossbows, but that's a whole other video lmao

Everyone has a different level of effort they're willing to put in. I enjoy farming bosses at the top level, and will usually do most things to give any increase I can find. That being said, in order to get kills at a boss, you don't need every last item. T85 dw magic and some gano armor can kill every boss in the game. I provide what I do as information for anyone, and it's up to the individual to pull what parts they do and don't want to use; nothing is forced here

Could see it being used by someone who only wants to farm araxxor or glacor as part of a budget setup. it's technically bis where it works until bolg, but i think it's better to stick with a physical sgb until bolg. Once bolg is owned, I think it's a glorified bleed swap and that's about it.

it's almost as if there's timecodes on a full length guide for people to get the information they need. some people just want rotations, others have no idea how the gear works in order to achieve damage. Understanding and knowing how things work is half the battle.
