Ummm... Should be an Asterisk for UCONN loss @ Kansas. 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 Freshman & Big East Freshman of the Year Stephon Castle didn't play. Cam Spencer had 2 Big Toes injured.... Hence the 2-12 , 1-7 on 3 Pointers & 1-3 Free Throws 🤔

This has never applied to basketball. This originated in football and that’s where it still applies. Offense in college basketball wins championships. Go look at the last 20 champions… only a few had a slightly better defensive efficiency over their offensive efficiency. 90% of champions had better offense.

I'm doing better than I've ever done on my bracket. 13 out of 16 of the Sweet 16 are still active; 7 of my elite 8 and 3 of my final 4 teams and both my championship game picks are all still in it. In the 95 percentile on ESPN. Only issue is Baylor; picked them to go to final 4 so that will hurt me.

Andy, what you are saying is, the performance in games played on court is less an important gauge of the strength of a conference than a bunch of so called experts sitting in a room, the ACC Conference just proves you wrong!

If the Aztecs can repeat "IF" the shooting performance they had against Yale they definitely have a chance. SDSU made 13 three's..48% from 3 and 52% shooting overall scoring 85 points ..do I expect them to win properly not but Jaedon Ledee is a monster he should get you 25-30 if the role players play like they did against Yale it should be a good game.

Everyone seems to agree that it's difficult to judge teams based on their conference records. Why don't they just get rid of the conference tournaments (auto bids to the regular season champs) and either expand the NCAA tournament field or at least increase the number of play-in games? Let's see more of the top teams from the different conferences battle at the end of season when it matters.

I would be fine with that...except all of these conferences have unbalanced schedules.....so regular season records are like comparing 🍎 to 🍊. Play balanced conference schedules and I'm on board 👍

@@brenttuttle7268 Yeah, would love to see more balanced non-conference scheduling throughout the year but there seem to be complex roadblocks on that front. I also think a lot of casual fans and media aren't really paying attention until the end of the year. The NCAA tournament is such an exciting sporting events - so lean in and make it bigger/better - growing the tournament/play-in field would help resolve the conference/bubble team debate and also generate more interest/$, which always helps. :)

SDSU is a better offensive team than last year and 9th ranked defense by Kenpom. If they shoot 45%+ like they did on Sunday, this is a win they could pull off.

I'm a Tennessee fan but Creighton is very concerning they should have less turnovers and don't foul much - love the match up - all 8 games are really intriguing other than SDSU that would be an all time stunner to me if they win

Everyone who thinks Tennessee only has DK on offense clearly never watched them in the regular season. One of Knechts worst games was when they went to Kentucky. Knecht had 16 points and Tennessee scored 103. So no he’s not the only offensive weapon.

Andy not too smart here. Says a team quality is partly judged on "who they play" but then says conference doesn't matter. Doesn't the conference determine who they play? LOL. To disprove him, all you have to do is take a team and put them in an inferior conference, let them get used to it, then throw them in the harsh competition of the NCAA tournament. For example, let Clemson crush every team in a women's basketball conference all season long, get used to that level of competition, then throw them in the men's NCAA tournament and see what happens LOL. Andy off his rocker.

Basically I believe it's UConn all the way but I've had this good feeling about Creighton that started a couple weeks ago and just keeps resurfacing. So stay tuned- they might have a little miracle on its way

@@michaeldunlop3207 Creighton shot lights out that game. Before the last few minutes, they were shooting over 60% on the game and over 50% from 3. If that's what it takes to beat UConn so be it but I think that was the 2nd best shooting performance Creighton has had in their entire history, unlikely to happen again.

@@ruffdice That wasn't "beating" UConn, that was "Blowing Out" UConn.That wasn't a buzzard beating half court Hail Mary to win by one point. Creighton was up by 23 late and it wasn't even that close. Creighton dismantled UConn in every facet of the game that night. Creighton doesn't need a great game to beat UConn just a good one. Creighton is LETHAL from deep. UConn is the defending champ, but they are by no means unbeatable.

@@michaeldunlop3207 of course they can be beaten. Point was, it took a night where Creighton couldn't miss and shot over 60% while they average mid 40s. UConn also beat Creighton handily at home. BE games on the road are hard.

Andy Katz clearly didn't actually watch the last Tennessee and Purdue game, both teams played well but Tennessee defense kept them in it, an their offense had only gotten better bc of guard play and our big men. if you honestly haven't seen the big men at Tennessee, watch them again much improved since Nov of last year but we can reconvene after Tennessee proves you wrong.

This game will be about officiating. The A&M game was close because at one point the aggies had shot 42 FT to Houstons 15. The only reason it seemed more balanced was forced fouls at the end of the game. This Houston team is crazy good. I bet this will be a close game.

All final four teams will be Big East and ACC teams because they are easily the two top conferences...both Purdue and Illinois will lose because they've been diminished by the extremely weak but overrated...for the last 50 years... Big 10 conference...I have the three Big East teams with NC, with UCONN over Creighton.
