I purchased the new Tacoma TRD Sport Hybrid, and I absolutely love it. It drives and rides like nothing I have ever driven before. The power is amazing. It moves up hills and passes with such ease. I like the ride height too. It feels like a much bigger engine under the hood and sounds good too. I never tow so that was not a requirement for me. Soo much peppier than that old v6. I think the price is holding people back on buying them, but I was fortunate enough to have the money to buy one and I have no regrets. I get compliments on the look.
The prices, Hybrids and ICEs are too high! When I heard that the 2024 Tacoma was getting a Hybrid power train, I was excited. When I saw the price that Toyota dealers were asking, the excitement immediately evaporated! My 2003 Tacoma 2.7, 4x4 is still performing well, so I will just keep driving it. Shame on you Toyota for trying to overcharge your loyal customers.
They just aren’t priced appropriately. Maybe the timeframe Toyota was preparing the release, all the component prices were skyrocketing with inflation in 2022,2023 etc.
Toyota hybrids are second to none. I have a 2002 Prius and the powertrain is SMOOTH. Pretty much Lexus-level smooth. My only nitpicks are that the engine runs EVERY SINGLE TIME the key is turned (just so it feels like a traditional car) and the air-conditioning is belt-driven off the engine. There's a thermal-storage evaporator core, though, so the AC keeps blowing cold for about 30-45 seconds when you're waiting at a traffic light (more than enough to sit through all but the longest lights without running the engine).
Toyota priced us out. I was planning on upgrading my 2016 that I bought new until I seen the price. You absolutely correct. I rather buy something else for those prices. I appreciate your thoughts and opinion. It’s the price for me.
For a Toyota employee you shouldn't be revving up the engine when the truck hasn't reached the breaking in period which is 1000 miles. Buyer beware, don't that particular truck.
@@JK-dv8yi you were standing in front of a mirror when you typed that huh? 😢 Or is that something you grew up hearing a lot?😭Either way, it’ll get better buddy. 💀😂😂
@@JC-ez9yx this is a TRD Sport that doesn’t even have a rear locker. It is middle of the pack. The bulk of the additional money is being spent on the Hybrid system, the massive infotainment screen, and a couple other add ons. What I’m hearing from customers is what I’m telling in the video. Nobody is complaining, it’s an observation. Mid sized trucks are all pretty expensive these days. But the Toyota loyal are experiencing serious sticker shock. Some dealers are even adding markup to what most consider to already be pretty expensive. You seem to know so much, why don’t you break down a comparably equipped Canyon and give us the details…we’d love to hear it.
Way too expensive, price doesn’t compute with what the truck is offering. It’s a mid size truck with Plastic interior, questionable turbo 4cyl, horrible rear seat leg room. That’s a $42k vehicle at best
The most successful car manufacturer will be one that gets rid of all of this bells and whistles nonsense and provides us with affordable and reliable vehicles. Eight bow the average person csnt sfford a damn car let alone any truck.
