When I looked a the Grand Hylander the interior looked cheap, the Palisade look much more luxurious. The Palisade has power 3rd row seats and much more high tech. Hyundai has a 5 year, 100,000 mile warranty! Toyota has a 2 year, 36,000 mile warrant.
Hyundai warranty is a lie since you only have to do maintenance in the dealership not anywhere else they will notice it somehow and cancel your warranty but Toyota doesn't and the palisades grille looks like shiny cheap trash plastic the captains chairs are dangerous since if you in a car crash might as well say goodbye to your legs unlike Toyota who makes high quality good looking cars with safe tech.
Grand Highlander is a great family vehicle. So is the Subaru Ascent, Honda Pilot & Mazda CX70 & 90. But, Hyundai/Kia have some reliability issues with engines & transmissions, plus an occasional fire 🔥. 😁
biggest reason why not to buy a Palisade - the only reason they still have a 6 cyl vs the GH 4 cyl Turbo Hybrid is that Hyundai doesnt know how to do Hybrid without failing over and over. So they make up with gimmicky interior.
You do know that Toyota asks more money for less feature. Here in my country Highlander is 203k Saudi Riyal and doesn’t give as much features as a Hyundai Palisade which is 185k Saudi Riyal here. And I see many people say that Hyundais don’t drive more than 150k km. I own a Kona which is driven 205k km and it running like brand new and I recently got a palisade and it is safe to say ITS WAY BETTER THAN THE HIGHLANDER.
As a Toyota family (my husband and I actually met through a celica website.) We also had highlanders (one in 2006) and then leases of 2016, 2019, 2021. We also have Subaru BRZ (jointly developed by Toyota and Subaru.) And a Tacoma TRD sport. We walked away from the latest highlander for the Palisade Caligraphy Night. Toyota charges extra for everything that the Hyundai offered right off the lot. With each Highlander we got, we felt like we got less. Our 2016 Highlander was by far the best. The 2021, we despised. It had 3 recalls, the battery died twice, and the tires never held air. This was a new car off the lot. To get into details would be too much. But I truly think Hyundai has become the under-rated king. While everyone was looking elsewhere, they were refining their cars and making them better. And as a mother of 4 kids, 2 in high back boosters, 1 in forward facing, and 1 rear facing, the Palisade is easier for the kids to get in and out of. The power 3rd row is also a game changer. The highlander may offer more trunk space in numbers, but functionally speaking? It's HORRIBLE. I haven't been able to fit a stroller in the back without completely rearranging everything. The palisade may not match in numbers, but it's actul USEABLE space. Again, I love Toyota. And should they bring the Celica back, I'd be first in line. But for a family SUV, the Hyundai provides far more bang for your buck. Along with extra safety features and comfort options for the Littles who are stuck in the back.
Toyota reliable, durable, serviceable, parts available, etc⁹. Hold their value well before 2023. Now 2024 i regret selling my 2018 toyota tudra 5.7L v8 192,600 miles with FOOT BRAKE can used as trucks for work. ____ Trade in for new 2024 Toyota Tundra 3.5L turbo hybrid can't used as trucks fuel economy rated 19 mpg 🛣️, only get 14 mpg disappointed.
