Currently on the market for a Rav4 Hybrid and I'm siding more with the LE. Call me old school but I personally prefer the manual engine start, seats, and lift gate. Less electronics to worry about failing and not efficient enough to shell out more money for a slow lift. Has automation really made us that lazy where we need a button for everything? lol
@@repairman99But how often are you using Cruise Control compared to a Push To Start, Seat Control, and Power Liftgate? I’ve seen more ignition, strut rod, and small motor repairs on my early 2000s vehicles than a simple toggle switch I barely use once or twice a year on long trips.
Great choice.Over at Europe i got basic version 2022 rav with my favorite manual transmission. At the time for the same price they were offering one level up trim but I declined.Very happy without the extra technology.
Power seats really don't matter. How often do you need to adjust your seat? Me? Never. Charging ports in the back? I don't sit in the back. I'll take the LE.
@@frankhannon8001cvts are Terrible for gas mileage why would it make sense to hold an engine at higher rpm instead of up shifting. It goes manual, dct automatic(some are far better than others), torque converter, semi auto, sequential, then at the very bottom cvt. Nissan lost their reputation from that transmission now the rest of the automotive industry is obsessed should be alarming.
@@HawkeyeRides ahh I see. Would have been a nice option but I didnt need it. The only thing I wish mine had is the LED fog lights under the main headlamp. Kind of bogus that you need to go with XLE premium for that. oh well!
@@HawkeyeRideshow can we open the lift gate from inside on LE ? That's only in higher trims, not even basic XLE has it..need to take convenience package for it right
Waiting on my 2024 le i wanted simple and the less crap there is the happer i am. I dont want to pay for a sun roof you never ever use. Next guy is different
Have a 2020 xse hybrid. After 4 years i can say.. very fragile windshield almost dangerous. So so brake system. And yea.. noise but its not.too bad. Other than that its awesome
@@HawkeyeRides I have the 21 RAV4 im impressed by the gas mileage n it’s my first Toyota it did 38 miles to the gallon when I took it out on the highway
The xle has a couple more adjustments so it can be more comfortable than the le. Padding might feel better in the xle but it is more of the adjustment. The Adventure will be more comfortable because of the softex seating.
Yeah it’s bad enough that our government steals from us every tax time, but then they are doing bugger all about the theft of vehicles through container ports.
I like your presentation, i'm looking for a suv with high ground clearance, easier to get in and out, do you think this model has a high enough clearance, more than a normal car. Also, in your opinion is this model preferable to the Honda CR-V. Looking forward to your input, i sure can use it. Thanks, take care. Annie.
@@John-fq2io Thank you Annie. Clearance on both Honda and Toyota is good, easy in / out with hybrid options. Honda will be more quiet, better cushioned seats, more cargo space and a little smoother. The RAV4 is awesome but it is becoming due for a refresh however you will be able to do more rugged driving, towing and it’s a little shorter in length than Honda. You can go wrong with either but some of these highlights can make a difference in ownership. I would go Toyota but for hybrid I would go Honda.
@@HawkeyeRides Forgot to subscribe to your very informative channel, just did. Hope I can trouble you a little more with the following questions. If I was NOT looking to buy a hybrid and not interested in rugged driving, but more for interior comfort and better gas mileage, would you suggest the Honda crv or the Rav 4. Did I understand you correctly, do the hybrid versions of these suvs have a higher ground clearance. Thank you so much for taking time to answer my questions.
@@John-fq2io no trouble at all Annie. The clearance is better on non hybrid for the RAV4 and it’s the best in that category. One thing to note different trims will increase it but it’s not a huge difference where it will make a big difference. Toyota makes a great product which is known for reliability but so does Honda. Honda sounds like it will be more better for your needs with comfort, space and everyday use. I always recommend driving both and get a deal on paper for both so you have better buying power.
@@HawkeyeRides I've narrowed it down to these two, thanks to your show and input. It's mind boggling to go to a dealership without any prior knowledge. Take care, God bless, see you in the next video.
I leased the rav 4 le 2012, 2015, 2018, 2021 xle now the 2024 LE the interest rates are very high so I can’t lease the xLE but I will lease the 2024 Le 1500 down 395 a month for 36 weeks 🎉if I get the xLe 1500 down 495 a month 🎉 going for the 2024 rav 4 LE
So we are basically paying $2000 more on the xle for rims, one power seat, keyless and extra charging ports in the back, not worth it. Advice for future buyers, add the convenience package and the all weather package on the XLE. It’s almost like XLE premium but $2000 cheaper.
I just bought the 2024 XLE hybrid and it's a fraud. Shame on you Toyota. It doesn't t have a power liftgate. Even My 13-year-old Le Camry has it. They want you to pay a bunch just for that. A bad joke.
Sadly when you buy anything beside luxury most of these features you will have to pay extra. Because I do not trust sales people, I always ask for all the features and for them to show me on paper and on the vehicle.
@@HawkeyeRides Did you understand what I wrote? The so many different trims of Toyota Rav4 are a fraud. That is my opinion. Why? I did explain it. I'm not calling the video a fraud.
@@romanc.5074 you did edit the comment after I wrote back so I changed my comment too. The first comment didn’t say anything but the first two sentences and nothing about why. I reply fast to every comment on this channel 👍
@omoyiwolaoluyemi9729 Toyota will be less for overall ownership including maintenance. They both last a long time but in some forms I have seen the Subaru has oil leaking problem, the power steering can mix and go bad.
@@HawkeyeRides thank you so much I will start shopping for the 2024?rav 4 xle . Do you’ve happen to know what is the fair mkt value for ir . I hope to buy through Costco club here on n the state
I did not get your point are you saying xle is better to get rather than the hybrid . Also I am budget conscious, would love power seat , push button and moonroof or sunroof?
Does all Rav4 trims have something like old-fashioned parking sensor capability (checking distances and buzzes)? Does rear collision warning cover that capability? It seems that only the top trim (Rav4 Limited) has Park Assist which can apply brake automatically (beyond the old-fashioned parking sensor distance/buzzing capability). I hope someone can answer my questions. Thanks.
You can option the front and rear parking on the XLE trim but most of the features will be on the limited and you will still have to option things like a 360 camera Toyota specs: www.toyota.com/rav4/features/mpg_other_price/4477/4450/4530
