In this video, I go over the positives of my 2024 Toyota Tundra. I feel like I have been beating a dead horse lately regarding the truck's quality control issues, so I thought some positively would be refreshing.
There is no such thing as a perfect vehicle, and I know some hard working men and women most likely spent a lot of time and effort building this truck. Thank You.

I bought the 24 Tundra limited, with 14" screen, I did not like it at first, I thought it was obtrusive, now I absolutely love it, especially the Navigation graphics, so easy to see the up coming turns and exits, its the best on the road, in my opinion , also the JBL sound system on the 14" screen is fantastic

That really IS a nice truck even if there are some quality control issues you have.

Well done Zeta, giving the viewers the driving experience along with the commentary really made this video click… Companies and consumers alike are in a vicious cycle of trying to maximize financial opportunities whenever possible… Toyota is no different it’s good to see the vehicle still processes traits of its glorious past!!!

Thanks for the kind words! If Toyota can clean the QC stuff up and upgrade the truck in some areas (tow hooks, a steel bumper option, and better tire options from the factory) I think they'd have a real winner. I only wish they put the 5.7 in this thing, it would be the perfect pairing.

Absolutely Zeta, you’ll look at the Tundra completely different in a few short years I believe… It’s steady as she goes with Toyota, they hear the consumers and they’ll make the necessary changes… Unfortunately lol, Toyota moves at their pace and not ours!!!

I test drove a used 2021 and I like the sound of that 5.7 V8 with 27K miles on it. Just hard to swallow 50K for a used truck.

At least it seems the 2nd gens are holding their value. Not the same story for these 3rd gens...

Just get the extended warranty for 10\125k. When you brake down the cost of those extra years its less than 30 bucks a month

I think I purchased the 8 year/90k. Something like that. First time I've ever purchased an extended warranty on a vehicle.

The 2024 is STILL having spun bearing issues= lack of lubrication to the front of the engine cooking parts in the front of the engine Sorry your Tundra is a ticking time bomb..full disclosure I purchased one of the last made 21 tundras in November of 21 because oof fear over turbo issues.. The power train is the main thing and TOYOTA has not disclosed how they are going to fix it. It needs a different designed motor to improve lubrication

It looks nice, but those turbos will not last more than 100K.

Had Toyota not increased the price on the entire line to such exorbitant MSRPs I may be tempted to buy this generation of truck…but being asked to pay a $10,000 to $20,000 premium for a less reliable truck when compared to the last gen is a deal killer. My 2021 Platinum had an MSRP of $57k. Now they are $75k. I will keep my super reliable gen 2.5. It does everything I need a truck to do. Perhaps a 3rd Gen CPO may be the way to go in the future.

Definitely keep your Platinum. As I mentioned in a previous video, I was swayed by how well the truck drives and the MPG improvement. If I could do it over again, I would have looked for a low mileage '21 and waited a few more years until Toyota got their act together. Who knows, I still might end up getting out of this thing if it starts to have mechanical issues. The peace of mind that comes with reliability is almost priceless.

@@ZetaDogProductions ….Exactly, it is the #1 reason I’ve been driving Tundras since 2001. I was a Ford truck guy before then. Now the Tundras are all priced like a King Ranch and with comparable reliability at this point. My local dealer has a ‘21 TRD Pro with 40k that they are asking $52k for. They have a loaded ‘22 SR5 that was $62k new that they are asking $49k for ….it has 8k miles. That says a lot.

They don’t deserve any praise. They did nothing but slap the loyal Toyota customer in the face with that abortion of a truck to cater towards the Starbucks techie non Toyota fan base. Not to mention their scumbag allocation practice, sales ethics and terrible CS. You can buy a 3/4 ton truck 3 times as capable than that turd for the same price. Piped in sound? What a joke. No bumpers or tow hooks, failing turbos, cheap paint and plastic, crap payload and falling apart cheap plastic deserve nothing but a stop sale and automatic re-design.

I totally get it, and I agree with most of your sentiment. I'm just trying to put some positivity out there and enjoy the things about the truck that are actually well sorted from a user experience perspective. It at least keeps me from burning the truck down when the window starts to rattle. Haha.

Have you owned a Gen 2 Tundra to compare to the Gen 3? If longevity and reliability are not your concern keep the Gen 3 past its Factory Warranty and then we will see how happy you are with your purchase.🤔🫤

I have not owned a 2nd gen, but I have driven them. I'm definitely gambling on the reliability/longevity. We shall see.
