The XC60 Recharge T8 features the company’s popular plug-in hybrid powertrain, which offers the perfect balance of speed, performance and fuel efficiency by combining a 312 hp four-cylinder turbocharged engine with a 143 hp electric motor. Thanks to the 18.8 kWh high voltage battery featured on the 2024 XC60 Recharge, drivers can achieve up to 35 miles of fully electric range in Pure mode*.
The XC60 B5 AWD will utilize Volvo Cars’ mild hybrid technology, which combines both a traditional internal combustion engine and an electric integrated starter generator to minimize carbon dioxide emissions and improve fuel economy, while providing customers with real-world performance benefits, all without ever having to plug in.
As of model year 2023 the entire line-up of Volvo cars consists of mild hybrid, plug-in hybrid, or fully electric vehicles. Meaning customers, regardless of lifestyle or access to charging, can find an electrified Volvo car to fit their needs.

I have a ‘22 XC60. On this one, the underhood insulation is missing 😊 The soft engine cover is for pedestrian safety/head protection.

I had a brand new 2021 xc60 r-design in white beautiful suv extremely comfortable with the bucket seats front and back fun to drive had all the features BUT the driver side door (black pillar between the windows) kept scraping the back door window pillar bad ! happened 5 times within the first year multiple dealers told me it was the fl sun expanding it and proceeded to-use a hammer to put it back in place, my rotors also went out at 4k miles and had Apple car play problems near the end of the year sold it after the year, still my fav vehicle though

All Volvo either Hybrid or purely electric cars are throttled the speed to 180Km/H which is wrong but it may happen that the battery does not last for faster acceleration but it is nice to drive regardless of whether one buys the cheapest model Core, Plus or Ultimate T6/T8 and that is about the equipment of the car itself that one's wallet allows and all countries have their own rules when it comes to such as road tax annually of SEK 360/year road toll tax at different times ranging from SEK 10 to SEK 50 depending on what time you are on the road, of course, car insurance as well as Annual Service which is important for the car but the car itself is a luxury to go and drive and thank you for your review.

exactly the spec i would love to be able to afford... t8 xc60, bright dusk colour with dark trim, and wool seats.... stunning. except those wheel, i would be fine with the standard 21. or even 20 if possible(which is not). too bad if i would order one it would come from china.

I've got my Count Chocula and Coke Zero and I'm buckled in !!! Let's go !!! Does the XC60 Recharge have to be plugged in and can you use it like a Prius and only fill it up with gasoline? This would be great to use as an urban car where there is no way to plug it in but I don't know if this is possible.

You can use it that way but it is best when you can plug it in at home and charge it.

how's the visibility out of this car? (sorry if you mentioned and i missed it). I've come to the conclusion that visibility (out) is the biggest thing for me. I really hate blind spots. My dream car would put me high of the ground, and have perfect visibility in all directions. Like an early Range Rover, expect all i'd see out of the windows is the inside of the mechanics workstation, but you get my drift.

Volvo builds a beautiful car. But, did just see that this model came in 6th in Consumer Reports 10 least reliable vehicles. Volvos used to run forever.

Bright chrome is going out of fashion. It's an older luxury look. Black trim or a darker chrome looks way better.

I wish Volvos were more reliable. Otherwise, for a good number of people, they just don’t exist. They look really nice though, just a shame they are plain planned obsolescence once the warranty expires.

I've never had issues with the 2 I've had. Any vehicle out there can have one offs. It's just a product of mass production. Then those owners are the ones that say something and therefore the only thing you hear.

That's not necessarily true. A lot of people have very reliable Volvos. They're a mixed bag in terms of reliability.

It’s a Geely under the skin. I would be cautious about Chinese infotainment and navigation gear as they may be rigged with spyware

Chinese rubbish, unbelievable! Had several Volvo's in the past, sold a youngtimer 760 gle two years ago. Had 200, 700, 900 series, 850glt, red one, with faboulous 5 cilinder. Ford bought Volvo, the decline started, Geely took over and Volvo's reliability is now among worst ..... Have you had a look at the bottom of the car Kirk?????? The xc60 is notorious for its underneath rust issues......
