I'm not an aeronautical engineer but I, and other people I have just emailed, say that adding a wiper that small will not "significantly" affect the range on the Ioniq 5. Maybe on the 6 but not on the 5. And I also wonder, like you, why, if it's such a concern, they didn't place it under the rear spoiler like the Tucson. Maybe the engineer you referenced just has a bad attitude about rear wipers spoiling the look of their design.

I agree almost perfect just wish they had real front storage like Tesla/Mach E five star crash we reading on all categories like Tesla and a large touchscreen to be able to watch multi media again like the two for mentioned Cars and also 360 recordable video from the cameras.

Unless my calculator is faulty, I would speculate that the 2025 model will increase range by about 20 miles, at most. No big deal, IMHO. NO April Fool.

My first rear wiper was on my 2009 Santa fe. I then had one on my 2015 Explorer and 2020 Kona electric. I'm ok without one now.

my first reaction was that if that's the case, I'll remove rear windshield wiper from day one! And get a shiny plug for the hole in glass. A friend of mine did this with his e-Golf and it looks sharp. I've been lived without one and was just fine. I am in Northeast too. But silly me.
