Thank you. I finally did it. A few numbers gave a similar gap so I had got the first wheel wrong, today I tried again and yeah, I had almost lost hope but I did it. It just requires a bit of patience and practice, trying the different possibilities. Thanks again.

Also I did a video that's a combination of the "sideways" & "direct" methods here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-e0xpSiTtvNA.html ... but with the Ulac lock in this video, only the "sideways" method seemed work - and it worked well, so it's definitely good to look out for.
Yea some bike locks are susceptible to this attack, but I don't think I've seen it quite this bad before.
