I love this idea! As a single mom I feel like there is barely any time for selfcare, so I will implement this concept in a 'Tiny self care routine'! - Do 1 yoga pose everytime my 1yo son takes a nap. - Read 1 page of any book before bed. - Get the water boiling for a cup of tea whenever (and maybe, some day, I'll actually get to drink the tea! Hahah). This feels so manageable!
Two years ago, I made the tiny habit to walk 5 minutes everyday... I now walk about 2 hrs everyday. It has also been almost 2 yrs (in January) that I have been reading my Bible daily. These 2 habits have made the most impact in my life. Love your videos! Thank you for the great ideas!
The habits I want to implement: 1. Stretching. Tiny habit: do one stretch at night for 30 seconds 2. Drink water as soon as I wake up. Tiny habit: drink 1 sip of water the moment I wake 3. Reading. Tiny habit: Read 1 page each night. What a brilliant idea to start off tiny. Loved this video. Thanks! 💗
I love this ! Start small and build your way up. Mine are: do squats while brushing my teeth, drink a bottle of water while doing my makeup and spend 10 minutes with each of my children at night with no interruptions and let them talk about anything they want and truly get to know them.
this is such a beautiful concept, especially for those with depression that are overwhelmed by small/normal tasks. last year sometimes eating a meal would really really overwhelm at a time when I had lost my apperitite, but the cincpet of "don't eat the whole plate, just eat a chip" would've been so helpful to me.
I suffer from major depression and anxiety, and just straightening out my comforter on the bed makes me feel SO MUCH BETTER about myself. I want to start taking my showers at night so I don’t have to think about it when I get up and don’t want to do anything. Even just a 2 minute shower just before bed to clear my head while keeping up with hygiene.
Chelsea I’ve been reading recently about depression and exercise. Scientists have proven you can’t feel depressed when on a treadmill (or exercising basically) (due to the chemicals released in your body). You may want to do some research, it has really helped my friend 💫
Yes! The autor touches on this too, he explains a case of a person suffering from depression after her business and personal life was crumbling down on her, how she was able to apply some healthy habits that helped her every day to feel better
Thank you this has been a really helpful video for me, I went and got out a chunky blanket I started making 4 months ago and kept procrastinating, now it's beside my couch and I sat down 2x and did one row each time
I have most of those habits & have had them for over 40 yrs. Things have places to go immediately. My clothes go in hamper or get hung up immediately. Clothes from dryer get hung up & put away as soon as possible after dryer stops. My mother ingrained all this in me growing up. I'm 73 & my house is always neat. Just from habits.
I love this! I’m going to read this book! My three tiny habits are going to be: 1) move my body for 10 minutes every day, (which is tiny for me since I used to work out much more extensively and fell off the habit.) 2) Read 2 pages of a book each day 3) take my vitamins with my breakfast each morning! Thank you for this!
Great tips. Sometimes I feel so overwhelmed to start something that I don't do it So now I'm going to start cleaning up but just a little and that's okay. You look gorgeous in this video.
The habits I wanna start sticking to more: 1. Me and my toddler being more consistent with taking our vitamins 2. Meal prepping 3. Getting to bed at a decent time and getting up before my toddler to get a head start on “me time” and making her breakfast. Daylights savings kinda messed up our sleep schedules even though it’s only an hour. We’re still trying to adjust to things lol
The first daily habit I want to start is doing some sort of exercise for 5 minutes. Another is to get rid of one thing a day that I do not need. And the last one for now is to read a short devotional each morning. Thank you so much for all the tips. I am determined to make small habits that will turn in to bigger habits.
Love this! I’ve been feeling down with the colder weather and how early it gets dark out. So my tiny habits will be to get up and give myself one complement, then go drink my coffee outside each morning and read one page of a book while I drink coffee! I spend way too much time on my phone from early morning until I get in bed. Thanks for sharing Brittany!
I love these videos! Thank you so much for sharing lots of small, yet important, ideas for habits that we can incorporate into our lives! The 3 tiny habits I am going to start incorporating into my daily routine are: 1) sanitize my counters while my coffee is brewing in the morning, 2) turning on my diffuser before bed while brushing my teeth, and 3) having a glass of water before I eat or drink anything else in the morning. 🙋🏻♀️
Wonderful content Brittany. The tiny habits that I am going to pick from this now on is to 1- read one page every night. I used to read a lot but somehow fell off that habit, thanks for reminding and 2- is to do five squats when I heat something in microwave or wait for my coffee and 3- I will wipe one kitchen cabinet every time I open one. Like if I open the spoon cabinet I will quickly wipe it in 5 seconds. That way all my kitchen cabinets will be clean every day and I won’t even have to worry about those.
I love this video! In terms of my tiny habits, I definitely want to start: 1) taking my vitamins every day with lunch, 2) doing 5 squats while my coffee is brewing in the morning, and 3) doing 5 minutes of meditation every afternoon with my tea. Thanks for the great suggestions!
I love the idea of implementing “tiny habits” into our daily routines because when I think about it there are habits that do every day that technically started as tiny habits. Slow and steady wins the race! The new tiny habit that I will start today doing at least 5 minutes of language study at minimum two days a week so that I can build on the skills I already have. I definitely plan on trying to start more tiny habits going forward though!
Going to start saying “it’s going to be an amazing day”, drinking water each time I step in the kitchen, lastly keys/shoes in their place as soon as I walk in the door. Thanks Brit. Hope I win 💜 Good luck everyone xox
Excellent video and suggestions! The three tiny habits I’m going to implement are: 1. putting away one thing that is out of place every day, 2. doing 3 squats every day, and 3. eating one vegetable every day, even if it’s just one cherry tomato. Thanks for the idea and the motivation!
I have 2 tiny habits that I've used and have been successful with. 1. I get into my car and get myself into position. Make sure my mirrors are where I want/need them and then I don't touch them. If I find myself slipping out of position I don't touch the mirrors but readjust myself. 2. I say zero when speaking of numbers. We all say O instead. So, I made a decision to stop doing that. Now, my back is stronger and so is my stomach because of needing to keep myself inline with my car mirrors and using 0 instead of O has made it easier to notice other things that need changing. It's crazy what changing tiny habits can affect other habits. Thank you for sharing. Oh, I think I know what I'm going to add to my Audible collection!! I recommend Mel Robbins' 5 Second Rule and Matthew McConaughey's Greenlights.
Love this idea. I know of a few tiny habits that I need to do to better my life. #1. Do 5 squats or lunges while waiting for my coffee to brew. #2. Get rid of 3 items a day that I don't need and have NEVER used. #3. Remind myself daily of at least 1 positive thing in my life and quit ONLY focusing on ALL the negatives. #4. Read 1 page from a book at bedtime. #5. Whatever chore I'm doing, STOP and ENJOY that surprise hug/kiss from my husband at that moment. The dang dishes can wait.
I love the reading one page habit! I also want to start decluttering one thing from my closet, dresser, or jewelry box every morning when I’m getting ready.
Not you calling me out 😅 no but really, I needed this video, thank you! My top 3 Habits are going to be: 1) Fold / hang my laundry as soon I take it out of the dryer, instead of leaving it in a pile on the floor. 2) Rinse off good scraps on dishes after I’m finished with them and put it in the dishwasher. 3) Make sure anything I have / buy has a space for it in my home to create less clutter! I also wrote this down on my whiteboard so I can commit to it! We can do this!! 👏🏼✨
This is such a great topic. And great advice. I’ve been a slob my whole life. Or, to put it nicely, a VERY messy person. I’ve been working on this for the past year or more and it’s finally paid off. I’ve created new habits that really keep my house clean snd neat looking and it feels great. I’m so proud of myself. I hope everyone watching this that needs it gives it a try. It’s so worth it.
Love your videos Brittany! I would NEVER skip a single upload because I am 100% sure your tips are helpful and there's something new I can learn. Thank you for putting the time and effort to make amazing content. Wishing you all the best.
Thank you for this Brit! I love the idea behind this… I’m adding Tiny Habits to my audible wishlist right now 🤎 TINY HABITS I WILL IMPLEMENT : 1️⃣ Straighten out bed 2️⃣ vitamins after breakfast 3️⃣ squats while I wait for coffee ☕️ 🙌🙌
“Tiny habits”. ❤️ Love it! Plan to get back into reading. I have incorporated many tiny habits through Covid-19. Brush and floss: exercise my hamstrings and glutes (donkey kicks & leg lifts) Commercials: ab exercises Phone call: stationary bike During the day, I take 10 minutes of weighted arm exercises while doing lunges and squats. Later (or followed by) 10 minutes Pilates ab work then 10 minutes stretch or yoga. OH and I do “10 minutes clean” whenever. With music. Music motivates me. Thanks for the additional tiny habit ideas! Love your videos!
I'm going to start with the "it's going to be an amazing day" habit, the supplement habit and the one page of reading 😊😄😄 Thanks for this awesome video😘
I know Ryan’s here for jokes, but him celebrating waking up in his room with the sunshine peeking in brought tears to my eyes bc sometimes it really is about remembering all those things to be so grateful for to get your day going ❤️
Love this video! I read the atomic habits book based on your recommendation and I loved it! One tiny habit I want to start incorporating is to not look at my phone until after I’m out of bed each morning. Right now it’s the first thing I grab as soon as I open my eyes and spend 15mins in bed on the phone reading news and checking emails and it gives me a great amount of stress right at the start of the day. Thank you for this video, I needed the push 🙌🏼🙏🏼
As always super thoughtful and full of effort content Brittany. For a real change in my life and to really take care of myself and be mindful, I am gonna 1- make my side of the bed, 2- keeps shoes and jackets in the cabinet where they belong as soon as I s come home, 3-when I enter a room pick one thing and put it where it belongs.
Oh, this was such a good one! I'm going to commit to these 3: 1. Stretching for 5 minutes (my original goal was yoga for 30), 2. Washing my face every night (I've fallen off my skincare routine, to say the least), 3. Making my bed in the morning
I like your analogy: plant the seed, water the seed. I'll try to think of myself and watering my better life seed/growing my great life plant when I get up and declare a great day (as opposed to "ugh, another day"). That's my #1, because expecting a good day gives more a better chance of it being so. I'll do it now, even though it's 12:40 Eastern time. Thank you so much!
I loved this video! I’ve been trying to build habits like this ever since reading Atomic Habits. Starting tiny instead of diving right in always makes me more successful. I’ve fallen off track and need to get back to my good habits, so thank you for the reminder and ideas :) The habits I will start with are: 1) Laying out my yoga mat before I go to bed and committing to 1 minute of stretching in the morning (I used to do 10-15!) 2) Showering at night to wind down for bed without screen time and to save time in the morning. 3) Moving my phone charger away from my bed so that I don’t get in bed and scroll through my phone.
Amazing advice! I have started doing "1 thing more" whenever I do something around the house I do "1 thing more " it makes me feel wonderful! I love the advice about the shoe cabinet and the vitamins kept in sight! Thanks!
1) Do 5 squats while making my morning smoothie 2) Do a stretch when I get out of bed 3) Say something I’m grateful for when I crawl into bed Please make this a series! This ties right into the book I’m reading right now: Atomic Habits. Such a cool concept!
Thanks for the great tips. I’m going to try doing squats while I wait for my coffee to brew in the morning and taking my vitamins right after breakfast. 👍
Ohmygoodness. I needed this! I really honestly did. Thank you so much! 1) workout at home: 2 squats or push-ups while making coffee 2)read more: 1 page! At a time at bed 3)clean while cookin: wash 1 pot/pan
Brittany I'm sure you will not see this comment but I just want to thank you for this video as it really helped me. I had cancer and 5 surgeries over 14 months. I am better but really struggling to get back to my old self. After listening to your video I realized how hard I have been on myself. I went through a lot and I need to be satisfied with baby steps and just focus on making progress. I started writing things down and it has helped. Thank you again.
1. Walk. Tiny habit: 1 lap around block 2. Drink more water. Tiny habit: Drink a cup 3. Read. Tiny habit: Read a page a day Thank you for reminding me that it is possible by starting small. Sometimes we tend to think “go big or go home” and that isn’t the best mindset.

1. Pulling my blanket over my bed 2. Reading one page of a book before bed 3. Throwing out one piece of rotting food from the fridge while I am cooking Thank you Brittany!! 😄
Love it. #1 Tell myself I am worth it. #2 Take one step without using my walker to strengthen my knees. #3 Do an overhead the stretch to strengthen my arms.
This was such an inspirational video. Three things that I really want to work on are 1. Less screen time after the kiddos are in bed 2. Read a page of a book a day (emotionally healthy spiritually is a good one) 3. Drink more water 3.
1. 5 squats while the kettle is boiling 2. reading 1 page of a book at night 3. praying right when I wake up to start my day off right and in a positive manner🙏😇

Starting small, but I have a clearer kitchen, clean bathroom and a hydrated body… Win-win-win
Some habits I want to implant are, 1. Drink water as soon as I wake up 2. Tidy up my room for 15 mins. 3.Update planner/ make to-do list Thanks for the great advice!!
This is a great idea for someone like me who suffers from depression and some days the thought of getting out of bed is too hard. One of my favourite small habits is drinking a large glass of water as soon as I get out of bed in the morning which makes me way more likely to keep drinking water all day 😊
I have terrible seasonal depression, so the first habit you mentioned that grabbed my attention is getting up every morning and telling yourself, “it is going to be a great day”. I think I am going to try the sunlight one as well and walking while talking on the phone! That one is super good! Also I wanted to share a habit I recently started. I have a few chronic conditions that I have to take daily meds for, well I’m a nurse and a mom and always super busy, so I have gone days many times without taking my meds and then ended up feeling terrible. The thing that has helped me is to get a pill organizer(just a weekly one) and put all my meds in on Sundays and then I keep it in my purse. I’m super forgetful in the mornings because we’re rushing to get our kiddo to school and get to work. I just wait til I get to work and get settled and before I take my first patient I get my meds out and take them! This has been something so small and probably a no brained, but life changing for me! Also, if it’s a busy morning at work and I happen to forget my pills are still with me so I can take a little later if needed when my brain finally kicks in! 😉 love your videos so much! Thank you for always bringing such great hacks, ideas, and motivation! ❤️
Loved the inspiration from this video! 1. Squats during coffee (genius) 2. Read a page of a book a night 3. Putting a dish away as I go (it’s rough all at once)
Loved your video & positive attitude! I'm dealing with end stage liver disease so 3 "Starting Now Habits" I'll begin doing EVERY DAY are: 1-Giving thanks to my Savior for giving me another day to say "I Love You" to my children & grandchildren, family & friends. 2-Having at least 1 cup of green tea every day. 3-Doing/saying something kind to/for someone, anyone everything day.
Yesterday I just found out I'm pregnant so you mentioning these vitamins in the video came right on time. 1. Wash dishes after I use them. 2. Hang my purse in the right place rather than in the kitchen counter 3. Exercise the right amount to have a healthy baby
Love your videos Brittany! My 3 habits would be 1) Two squats when making coffee 2) Read one page each night 3) Drink water every time I walk into the kitchen
Great advice! These are some of the tiny habits I’m going to start: 1. Stretching for atleast 5 mins a day 2. Drinking a sip of water as soon as I wake up in the morning 3. Doing 2 squats as I brush my teeth in the morning
The things I do are 1. Read every morning for about 10 minutes. 2. Right before eating any meal I try to think of 3 things I’m thankful for. 3. Before bed while getting ready, I say 3 positive things about myself.
I love this concept of this. The tiny habits I would like to start is putting up one item a day in the house, drinking one sip of water when I wake up and running for one minute a day.
I love this idea so much!! A different way to look at things. 1. Put vitamins where I will remember them each day. 2. Stretch each morning for 10 seconds before getting out of bed. 3. Doing a task in the morning instead of waiting until later on and then not wanting to do it. 😊
I'm on a healing journey so my habits have been 1. Water intake as soon as I wake and through out day 2. Morning Meditation for at least 5 min and more if I like 3. I do Wim Hoff breathing 4. Dance seated in my bed to stretch so I can move easier. I'm in a lot of pain from fibromyalgia and back issues. 5. Vitamins 6.. I do a once over quickly in my home 7. Make sure each person/animal gets my attention through day 8. Write what I am grateful for daily 9. Music/read daily 10. Move daily by dancing in my room So many more I have been incorporating. This is what I do on a daily basis...glass f warm water as soon as brushing in the morning is done..showering as soon as I do my 15 min work out in the morning..and switching on my water filter every time I refill a bottle..I really love the one with doing dishes while cooking...it saved so much time and has helped me immensely to avoid piles of dirty plates in the sink!!
I will implement my 3 habits in the morning, starting tomorrow morning when I first wake up to give me a positive outlook for the day. They are #1 stretch and say 3 times, that everything is possible with God. #2 drink glass of lemon water before eating anything in am. and #3 is to Do 3 squats while getting dress in am. These habits will help me to be more healthy mentally, physically and spiritually. Brittany, Thanks for sharing!
3 tiny habits I am going to adopt! 1. when I get out of bed I will both feet on the floor, turn on the bedside light and say (or say silently) "Today is going to be a great day!" 2. every morning, list one thing I am grateful for 3. when I am making my coffee I will do some stretches. :)
This was a very helpful and insightful video. I love books. Here is what i am going to start: 1. Stretch the body when i sit to watch tv every night 2. Pick up kids school socks and put them in laundry before i head upstairs 3. Walk when i talk (great idea) 4. Put out lunch boxes and water bottles the night before closing the kitchen lights to help avoid morning rush 5. Write in my journal atleast 2 line each night while i wait for my skin care to dry :-) 6. Watch your videos at lunch time for a great break and to learn various things!
This was really informative! Tiny habits starting today will be: 1. Wash one dish at least when cooking 2. Drink a glass of water every time I walk into the kitchen 3. Bring an object that doesn’t belong in the room to it’s proper space
I am hoping this will help with my depression. I have such a problem with follow thru. So my 3 are for sure going to be: make bed, open blinds to let sunshine in, pick up five items in the house and put away each day. Thanks so much for this video. I really needed it. ❤️be well 🌻
I feel I’m in a rut with things in my home, because I have 13 grandchildren and 8 live close. We are going and going all the time. I know I need to use my time more wisely, by just adding tiny habits. 1-I definitely need to take time to read more. 2-I need to move my body more and I put it off all the time. I’ll start small by walking around my house and up and down stairs. 3-I’ll start my day by thanking God for all He’s blessed me with and I’ll stretch. Thanks for the tips! 🥰
I struggle pretty aggressively with depression, and this is the first tip I’ve heard that doesn’t sound super overwhelming to me. I am going to use these tips to make sure I have my anti depressants located throughout the house to remind me to take it every day!
I needed this video! Ok Here are my 3 new tiny habits. 1) Floss after brushing before bed. 2) Do neck stretches in the shower. 3) Throw away one item I no longer need every day.
1. When I get in my car I’m going to say one thing that I’m grateful for. 2. When I get home from work I’m going to have a 1 song dance party to shake off the day. 3. When I go to sleep I’m going to tell my husband that I love him 💕
My three tiny habits: 1. When I use an item, I will put it back in its spot once I'm finished with it 2. Drinking more water throughout the day, I'll start by getting a cup and refilling it each time I go to the restroom 3. Set aside 10 minutes everyday to do basic stomach fat targeting exercises
Loved this video! The habits I will be implementing are 1. Flossing (1 tooth plus any bonuses) 2. Reading 1 page a day 3. Tidying one thing every time I leave a room
Oh Brittany I just have to tell you one piece of advice you gave a few weeks ago has really stuck with me, you said, ‘don’t put it down, put it away’! This has changed my life!!! It’s such a small thing that makes a huge impact! Thank you! Lots of luv from Australia 🇦🇺 😘
I needed this video right now! Maybe I even need it once a month or so ☺️. My tiny habits will be 1. Reading 1 page a day 2. Plank for a min every day 3. Drink water as soon as I wake up
One little habit I am gonna start is just making the bed. Sometimes I just get up and don't feel like it. It will take a few seconds! Thanks for the great ideas!❤
I Love this! ❤️ I am always overwhelmed with making new habits but never thought of it like this. My tiny habits are going to be..1 wake up in the morning and say it's going to be a good day, 2. take my vitamins after breakfast and 3. Drink water after waking up in the morning.
I used to always forget to take my allergy medicine. So now, I have the bottle sitting on my dresser next to my phone. When I wake up in the morning, I see the bottle and take the pill first thing. It's been a game changer. Loved this video! I'm going to implement the walking outside for 30 seconds. I do not get enough sunshine.
Drinking more water - bought a large thermal cup with straw, fill it up every morning.. Do daily filing of papers instead of letting them pile up. Exercise in five or ten minute intervals throughout the day. Thank you for all your helpful tips Brittany!
