just a reminder that not only is it *natural and normal* to feel down sometimes, but we have all spent the past year just trying to SURVIVE! we don't need to be in a Great Place right now, we don't *need* to be anything but Alive! most of us are all feeling the struggle right now, and I encourage you to allow yourself to embrace the solidarity in that. though we all want to feel happy, calm, and secure, we are ALL recovering and trying to become stable again--no one is judging you for being unmotivated or depressed right now. work on being better for yourself, and remember that it's okay to not be okay just yet. one day you will be

ABSOLUTELY ! We forget sometimes how fragile we are and can tend to be hard on ourselves when we would cut others a load of slack. I am trying to get back into mindfulness again to stop the constant chatter and worry going on in my mind and just BE PRESENT! It really does work when I take the time out to practice it.

I have chronic fatigue syndrome and I feel guilty when I spend a day resting. I am now “recharging”. I love that. Thank you!

@@wendysmith8298 yes, agree. The fatigue is much stronger and I have no option but to lay and rest. I have Chiari 1 Malformation and Syringomyelia. I had craniotomy in 2013 and Laminectomy in 2017. But I’m pushing through. 💜

Yesterday I was literally thinking about you and how motivated and productive you always are, and that I wish I could be more like you. I don't even have kids but I feel like I still struggle with being in ruts. I'm glad youre so honest about things like this 🤗

Girl, you don't need kids to be in a rut or feel down! Your feelings are totally valid no matter your personal situation. I don't have kids and I go through some REALLY low days. We all struggle!

For me, music plays a big part in helping my mindset/mental health. So even though I don't identify as a Christian, I like to listen to Christian music as it calms my mind, and the more I allow myself to get lost in it, the more at peace I feel. Thank you for sharing these reminders, Brittany ❤

I’m in a serious rut right now, so this couldn’t have come at a better time. I have ADHD and depression and my emotions are a rollercoaster throughout the day. Medications help but I appreciate hearing someone else’s strategies 💕

Wow this literally made me tear up! Life is NOT an emergency. Literally I can’t tell you how much I needed to hear this. I’m in a very stressful point in life but it’s all for really good exciting things and after watching your video I’ve realized I’m literally just focusing on all the work and negatives but they are all so exciting!

My husband suffers with panic disorder and anytime he is dealing with that or is just not feeling well, I try and get him to go outside, ESPECIALLY on a rainy day. He will tell you, that I have a weird connection with water but I swear by it that it makes me feel better, no matter what. There literally was a time we were both sick and I went outside and sat in the rain, and then came back in and sat under a warm shower (once it stopped raining) and I was completely better while he still moaned and groaned about being unwell. Grounding is amazing!

I really like the idea of setting small steps/goals. I need to remind myself to do that and practice it more, since I’m the time that likes to make big plans.

The earth-grounding thing is real. Also, what you tell yourself about your circumstances absolutely makes a difference in how your body reacts. For example, I read about some research where they discovered that people who have high blood pressure do not suffer the ill effects if they believe that hb is good for them. Amazing but empirically true. Our minds are far more powerful than we understand.

All good ideas. I use some of those techniques. I also talk it out with myself. Whatever room I'm in at home I think out loud, express my feelings, brainstorm. it's cathartic.

My mantra “This too shall pass”. And my other one thanks to Scarlet O’Hara-“I’ll think about that tomorrow” I’m retired and have so much time on my hands and don’t get a lot done. I keep thinking that when I was in my 30’s and raising kids, I would have loved to have a day to myself!! Now I go, what am I going to do with all this time to myself!! Life is funny! My friend and I gave ourselves names-I’m do nothing Diane and she’s Lazy Linda. When we are having a bad day we’ll say Do Nothing Diane made an appearance today or Lazy Linda showed up today! We’ve made it kind of a joke and given ourselves permission to be unproductive!!

I have a whole room I've been trying to Declutter and organize I have been putting this off for so long the minute I walk in there I feel overwhelmed I am going to set smaller goals of 20 or 30 minutes at a time and see if that helps!

This right here is right on time. I am a teacher on summer break. After this hectic school year, I need the time to decompress. However, I am having what I call “ the summer blues” . I had all these plans to travel, but everyone is busy and doing their own thing.

I'm saving this video to watch again and again, because these reminders are fantastic. I completely agree a guided meditation is the only way for me to do it when I'm overwhelmed or have a low mood. Thank you SO MUCH for this! I have a couple of autoimmune diseases and have many “down days” I think you addressed this with a lot of wisdom. My favorite is this is a RECHARGE day! I just had my two young grandchildren for a week. Of course I need to RECHARGE! Thanks Brittany!

I love this video! Thank you for being so honest and authentic here with us. It's calming to know that it's normal to not be okay sometimes and needing to recharge. And I love the idea of grounding. No it's not that you've lost your mind or something. Especially for women it's important to connect to nature. Mother Gaia is always with us and we are able to take in her energy and love from nature. She is our mother and endless conditional love 🙏

This was exactly what I needed this week. I have been so unmotivated, tired, overwhelmed, burnt out and honestly depressed - like nothing gave me joy. Then today, Thursday, just I started to feel 5% lile myself again, I started my period (PCOS = so much pain that I can not do anything). I too, went outside to just breathe. I also cleaned and told myself "well, at least you are productive and not a lazy sack of potatoes". This video has so much truth to it🌸 I can relate 100% to everything you are saying💜. Thank you so much for not making me feel like I am alone
