She a pretty young girl her life has not been easy. You can tell she is a sweet soul ...The Foster care dept really dont check on these kids I feel for them
@@itsgreat7150Possible mental health issues or developmental. . Cause and effect might not be understood. They need some type of assistance or disability. . Very sad
You can tell she’s a sweet girl. These videos keep me humble & close to how unfair systems negatively impact vulnerable populations. The right environment would have made all the difference in her life smh. It’s so awesome that her mom stands by her. God bless them both ❤
Here we go with the system blaming , if the system is so bad then why are you also not on the street , it’s all about the power of will and soul we achieve things , give these people no excuses please
Bet money it's more of a habit and not how she feels internally I use to do the same in my youth until I done deep spiritual healing it was just an appearance
I just love her loving & genuine spirit. She can go far with the necessary guidance. I want her to try again for benefits in having a learning disability. You're worthy and you deserve the best of the world, Gorgeous. So many failed her, that she should've been able to trust.
Boffum should’ve been AND should be getting an SSI check and therapy. Mama is mentally delayed & lived a hard life, bless her heart. I thought that was her granny who she was just calling mama for a moment. Annnnd, who was homeschooling this young lady, who happens to have a learning disability-and mentally delayed, also?? I’ve got more questions than Judge Judy. This is why I wish Marcus was able to work with caseworkers to help these people way more than posting their CashApp. Especially the mentally delayed ones & single parents on the streets.
Yes I'm from ATL, currently In the military but when I'm retired I'd love to go back and do this! I'm a licensed therapist so I'd love to bring awareness and also connect them with mental and behavior health resources ❤! He does a great job though! I love his work and anyone bringing awareness to homeless and drug issues in our population!
There is more to this story. Child protective services don't take kids for no reason. These foster people piss me off....they're supposed to help these kids. My heart breaks for this young lady.
@@StraightUp101She has a learning disability, she can definitely get one! They’ll try deny the first couple of attempts sometimes but when u lawyer up, you’ll win the case!
It’s so sad because the people that really need the help never get it because they aren’t in the position to fight for it. It’s so frustrating to see people older than me with not a drop of survival skills, parents failed grandparents failed. This country sucks.
@@Tinag6451😢I agree sadly it seems like a big puzzle piece missing something isn’t adding up as to why cps took her unless it was just straight up neglect
I think the mom loves her dearly, but the girl wound up in foster care for a deeper reason than the mom is willing to admit on camera. I think the mom was on drugs, which left the daughter susceptible to all kinds of hardship and abuse which unfortunately continued while the girl was in foster care (a typical story).
That’s not necessarily true. There’s a wide range of learning disabilities. Her seizures would probably get her a check before her LD. If she can show she’d have seizures during a work shift, and it’d impede with her ability to do the work properly or cause some sort of harm to herself during a work shift, that’s a much easier way of getting disability
She can most definitely get a check for her learning disability, usually the parents get a check when their young. She needs to talk to the right people that will help her.
@@Juelstone Yes. When you’re young, because of the services and IEPs required to bring them up to speed but a basic learning disability does not make you disabled by any means as an adult. If a child has a speech delay or dyslexia, that does not completely remove them from the work force as adults. It’s not a promised thing. If her learning disability as an adult completely makes her incapable of working, that’s a different story but it’s not by any means a “most definite” thing. Thats just ridiculous advice to give anyone!
From her learning disability, & foster family mistreatments. learning something you have a passion in BUT the cognitive impairments can cause frustration on top of impatient foster family folks not investing sincere & genuine time. There’s still hope for her IF someone stays on top of her pertaining to schooling which would I’m sure decrease her behavioral issues she spoke on. The learning disability was evident in how she spelled her CashApp handle. Praying for the entire family. 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Saying you hear something in her voice, and she has a masculine energy is a weird way of asking about mental illness and sexual preference, Marcus..Just saying 😅😂
I think his voice comment was in reference to her speech impediment and I honestly don't think he had any idea of her sexual preference until she began to speak
I respect the fact that, she out there with her mom She could've held resentment for her life but she didn't I admire her strength highly Black love Exist
May the lord cover both the mom & the daughter! I lost my mom to Breast cancer last year November 21st & I cried just seeing how much this young lady love her mom. She reminds me so much of myself. I too had seizures when I was young & no matter what my mom stayed by my side. My mom taught me about the homeless very young & she always remind me that we are no better than them because we can be in there shoes with a snap of a finger. My mom feed the homeless & everyone for that matter & because of my mom I am the strong woman I am today. I miss you MOM so much! Long Live ROBIN from your pumpkin seed !
Marcus start letting those people say whatever they choose to say‼️ I don’t care if it is your channel nor do I care about your love for Atlanta. It is what it is. And if that’s how she feel/felt then that’s what it is as well. If you gone interview them and gain clout off they stories to help you gain followers then they should be allowed to say WHATEVER they choose… You be doing too much
I agree with you OP, I don’t see the need for interrupting this ladies personal woes of Atlanta.. Everyone shares the same feelings about someplace that’s attached to their traumatic experiences.. I’m from NYC and NYC has haters everywhere, but do I care about what they say?? Hell nahh.. Because it’s not that deep lol.. I’m from there but NYC doesn’t belong to me for me to be worried about slander 😂😂 That’s like ppl in the hood fighting over blocks and projects they live in , but don’t own any assets there lol .. I really thought that was ridiculous for Marcus to take that route instead of just letting the woman express herself ..
Marcus wanted to hear about sex, and that's why her mother recounted the instance when she was a small child. She knew she had to say something sexual and give him his fix so she could collect her $10.👌🏾
I hate that.. I met so many ppl in my childhood years who were in those situations and I’ve barely ever heard any good stories.. I would help them with their homework, bring them to my house to eat and play games, and my parents would buy them new clothes.. I never understood why adults would do that to children, whether it be their own children or children they voluntarily brought into their home.. When I retire from nursing I’m definitely thinking of fostering children myself..
Marcus, that was rude to cut her off from speaking her experiences or opinions about “ATLANTA “ last time I checked we were supposed to respect our Elders! I’m just saying it’s a little disappointing I thought you knew better my suggestion would be just listen to the people!
Tenacious, resilent, gallent, pensive, and splendid are adjectives to describe this young beautiful lady. Unforunately-contending with foster care system with immense neglect and triffling foster parents, she is truamatized. However- one can observe she is a gentle soul trying to ascertain her way in the world. I pray that God will enable her to obtain the resources to make her whole with expeditious counseling! [ I detect she may have a real learning disability! Perhaps- she can get tested!]
I always wanted to foster children and adopt children. I believe all children must be cared for loved and protected and educated. Sadly there’s so many children needing the basic
3:20 the way she comes off is so innocent. When she said she’s been called dumb it just breaks my heart. When people keep treating you a certain way when your young you start to believe it. Those people who mistreated this young lady GOD isn’t sleeping and he sure will repay!
It’s so sad to hear all these stories. How can humans do this to another human being. I don’t understand. I’m praying for her that God will open doors for her❤⭐️⭐️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
You can be anything that you make yourself! Best wishes that you will fill your wishes. You dont listen to NO ONE who is talking negative crap. You take control of your mind and you can do anything.
So much to unpack here. First, DFAX wont take you for having seizures 😊or a learning disability.. There was some abuse and neglect going on in the home. It might have been because the Mum was on drugs. Second, seizures are a disability. She didnt actually apply for SSI or if she did get denied, she should try again. Third, the Mum needs to seruously consider getting dentures. Even the cheap kind.😢
DFAX probably took her away for not going to school. Some kids with a learning disability get so frustrated with school that they'll give up and stop going.
They’ll definitely take the kids for not going to school, every state is different. My mom was on probation because I didn’t like school and I stopped attending kindergarten because they separated me from my cousin & my teacher said we’re more related to plants than animals , my grandma told me we are animals/mammals..When she said my grandma was wrong to the entire class I didn’t like that . The 5/6 year old me didn’t like that she said my momo was wrong and the school wouldn’t change my class so I decided I simply wouldn’t attend . Grades were good when I did show up the judge told my mom she would’ve done better to not enroll me til the 1st grade if I wasn’t ready
Teacher here. She should be able to get a disability check for having a learning disability. Also, her speaking issues seems like a speech impediment. She should have been receiving speech therapy services at school.
They were not being properly cared for this lady was not providing for these kids that's why they took them there's something wrong with mom as well!!!!Lord please help them.
I think she should go to a community mental health center and they have people who will help her obtain benefits from Social Security. She doesn't give much detail when asked a question so that is probably why they told her that seizures are not a reason to receive Disability payments. You have to explain when you fill out the forms how your disability stops you from working or list jobs you've been fired from due to your disability and be very specific. Somebody at the mental health center could help with that paperwork to phrase it in a way that will be successful. Her learning disability could also affect her ability to work, so they could document that and that will help her. My son has seizures and he was on SSDI and SSI for a number of years. They did cut him off when he couldn't get to his doctor's to have his seizure medication refilled because of transportation issues when he moved to a small town, so you have to show that you are getting treatment or they will cut you off. The other alternative is that she could do some sort of work where she is by herself and not around other people if she tends to get into it with others easily. Vocational Rehabilitation which is a state funded program can also pay for her to go to a trade school. There are services available in Atlanta that she could make use of. Hanging around on the street all day for somebody her age is not a good idea. Bad people could get a hold of her and get her on drugs or turn her out.
She could work for Amazon warehouse and it's not much interaction. Just sorting boxes from conveyor to palette or robotics coming to your single person area and you sort. Perfect job. I know. Used to work for them. Plenty of locations in Atl. And this the start of the holiday season and it's a weekly check and you pick your own hours? Something more going on with her. No reason not to work, even seasonal retail.
And also this is why I despise ppl who are so quick to call CPS on ppl just because their own views on what a good parent is.. If you really cared that much just reach out and try to offer help and support instead of breaking up families just to put children in unsafe and trauma ridden situations.. CPS is not the cure if a child is not in imminent danger.. I guess I’m just ole school because we didn’t put the govt and their de facto agencies in our business, and I remember if a child was lackin the elders would reach out directly to help, not call the system..
i’m a foster parents and my foster kids gonna eat..i’m even looking to buy land for foster baby, got life insurance for foster baby..so if anything happen to me, they can always have money and land ❤ but GOD build different..GOD helping me taking care of my foster kids
some people just shouldn't have kids. black community in America is a mess. the people coming out slavery was better off than we are today. with all the opportunities and freedom in America to work to be something there's no excuses. if you know how to use drugs smoke cigarettes and dress yourself there's no reason why you shouldn't be in school or working. there's people with down syndrome working at super markets as baggers earning for a living. why can't we get it together? sometimes im ashamed to even be part of the african American community in America.
Huh…. Not calling no one’s story a lie but having seizures IS a Disability. And I bet if she filled out the paperwork she would get some money even if she show her paperwork for getting in trouble…. SHE CAN get help for her Learning Disability
