I actually enjoy feeling hungry when I have one meal a day. I know it sounds weird as hell, but it's true. Then when I do eat food it tastes so much better than when I'm eating 3 meals a day.
What time do u eat? When i eat at dinner, that is the best because i just eat what i really need after the day, i sometimes feel bad in my stomach and liver i think.. any suggestions? The digestive fire is stronger at mid day isnt it?
Patrick Todd: So very true. I never felt hungry for so long I was eating 3 times a day as if it was important just to survive! Like religions, it is another man made generalized response for societal reasons keeping nature and human individual needs and situation out of any consideration. I agree that the routine was taken as "law' in my case as needed to stay alive. Yes, I enjoyed the eating... even though only that short part of the process (daily) and the long term effects of it must be all taken together in the larger picture of one's health and well being. Salute.
I did OMAD for 3 months and 2 weeks and lost 24 kg , which is mind blowing for me, great great doctor. I'm back on track for my health , wish me luck 🤞🏻😊
Dr Eric, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, words lack my appreciation for what you have done for me. One morning I get this RU-vid suggestion, to watch your video; about fasting. I have fatty liver, cancer survivor, hep c survivor and a list of other medical problems, many doctors have tried and failed to help my pain, sleeplessness, fatigue, chronic bad breath, foggy brain to no avail. I decided to listen to you and started my journey; cold turkey that day 23:1 fasting. It's been 4 months now and I can say with tears in my eyes that YOU Dr Eric have save me from a life of misery and no hope. I have tons of energy, sleep well and my pain is 90 to 99% gone. God bless you and may God keep you in his watch every second. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you and thank you to the power of infinity.
I know how u feel because myself suffering from serious illness (inflammation over my whole upper respiratory system with sjogrens syndrome) and trying to incorporate this OMAD from last week. Hope this works for me too
@@daniellaswell1247 Any time as long as it is the "around" the same time everyday. Ideally, if you sleep during "normal/natural" hours, them the meal may best between noon-ish and four-ish PM's.
Indian here .......... i hope u know indian mindset....... most of ur life is influenced by ur parents.....all of their life parents have been taught that more we eat....better we will be........if we dont eat that much parents will make our lives hell ....
I quit breakfast and went to OMAD (one meal a day) and lost 15 pounds in three weeks. I couldn’t lose weight on two meals of keto intermittent fasting. I’m 71 and this was a miracle for me. I figured I was insulin resistant.
Wow, very impressive AND inspiring! I'm 63 and the struggle is real. I was always slim, had a flat tummy....but menopause is a beast!👹 I have a fairly small eating window, but I need to work at tightening that up to reach OMAD, and also being more diligent with keto. 👍🏻 I REFUSE to give in to the BEAST! 💪🏼
That's great, Marcia! I met a 71-year-old guy at my gym a few months ago and he was telling me that he eats only one meal a day, and the man literally looks like he's in his 50s. He's slender and wiry and does all kinds of aerobic exercises that put many younger people to shame. He highly recommended the diet to me after I told him about my lack of energy issues. I'm definitely thinking of giving OMAD a try, but I know it's going to take a lot of discipline!
Everything that Dr. Berg said is dead on accurate! Been doing this for 7 months and I lost 50 pounds! Losing slow, consistent and steady. I’m not starving and feel GREAT! I can tell that my digestive system appreciates it also. No bloating or belly fat and I sleep WELL! The best part is, I FEEL healthy! It’s sooooo easy to continue this for LIFE!
for over 35 years i've always eaten 1 meal a day ... people react by either 1) saying it is 'impossible' and not believing me or 2) warning me that its not healthy and 3) claiming an early breakfast is the 'best start to the day' ... but i truly believe that i have enjoyed the benefits listed by Dr Berg ... plus, as i am sure you agree, food tastes so much better when mealtime comes around ... just because my eating is restricted to a 2-3 hour window per day doesn't mean i don't love to eat!
That feeling of having the first bite of food after a long time cannot be compared or explained! One of the best feelings! I am on OMAD recently.. Loving it!
牡丹 Bahar I mainly went vegetarian, wholemeal pastas and rice and occasional chicken. Oh and lots of fruit because it's the only sugar my body likes now lol - almost 1-23/2-22 depending on the day, I tried not to be too strict. Some days I eat more than others and some days I have something small in the morning (usually if I've had a crazy high energy day). But generally speaking after about a week maybe 10 days you stop feeling hungry all the time. After about a month your only hungry for healthier foods and when you do eat something your body doesn't like, you'll be able to pick out what it was really easily. I don't have any plans on stopping any time soon because I eat when I'm actually hungry and my body needs food, I drink maybe 4 times the amount of water I used to, I have endless energy now and generally speaking my overall health has improved massively.
Oh and I'm now 59 kilo and holding solid - not putting on or losing any more weight now. Went to the doctor a couple of days ago and for the first time since I was 13 ALL my blood work (vitamin mineral etched) was spot on and my bmi was considered healthy. FIRST time in 20 years. so for me, after endless searching and doctors and specialists and things half working or simply not, Dr berg changed my life.
Cass W wooow!👏👏👏so happy to read this valuable information and thank you so much for sharing them🌹actually it’s been 8 days that I started to do fasting and not actually fasting is like keeping how long as I can 40-48 hrs then I eat,2-3 days I could keep just 24 hrs and in total in this 8 days I ate 5 meals ! I dropped 3.5 kg but 2 days ago I realized when I eat at each 24 hrs I gain,it was very strange for me!! I’m 85.9 kg now And I wanna be 70 kg my height is 180cm ,haven’t been 70 kg since my 18th😔but i have to say in this 8 days I saw obvious skin healing specially on my face, even my cheeks color became red and I have obvious high energy as you said!! After all these signs I feel like I’m near to my goal now,the only problem is my weight loss is so slow ! I have to figure out it
My weight loss started slowly too - the first couple of months I think i only lost about 5 kilo. After that, once my body realised what was going on and that it wasnt going to starve, I started dropping weight SUPER fast. Some weeks you might only lose half a kilo, other weeks you might lose 3. Dont be too tough on yourself, it takes a little bit for everything to really start working
Benefit no 24 : Improves oral hyegine and can make your teeth last forever. No decay of teeth caused by food residue in mouth due to frequent snacking. 😁
Whenever I feel hungry, instead of eating crap, I just watch Dr. Berg's videos. It helps me to remain motivated. 😀 Edit:Thanks a lot for the likes guys.😊😊 This is my highest liked comment so far. I hope you all are doing well in the challenging times of Covid - 19.
The part he said about resetting your metabolic brain is so true. I was 241lb in March 2021, and started keto. In october 2021, i was 170 lbs. I stopped keto but continued OMAD and now I am 142lbs.
Was following keto with IF for 18 months, and I find OMAD much more sustainable. If I want some fruit or a complex carb, I don't sweat it. But having loved the IF, OMAD is a natural fit for me, with the slight dietary flexibility I didn't know I was craving. Btw, I have congenital congestive heart failure with cardiomyopathy (dx at age 25) ... most recently, my heart function increased so greatly, they had to repeat the scans, having gone from an EF of 30, to nearly SIXTY, in one calendar year. This is classified as "recovery" or "remission" which I intend to draw out as long as possible. Not sure if IF or OMAD has contributed to this incredible change, but if it keeps me from going back on the transplant list, I'll take it!!♡♡ Love, light & wellness!
JP Benedetto Glad I found someone who did the keto comment. Question, so the OMAD w/IF is better to you than the keto w/IF? Also are your OMAD keto meals are anything? Trying to compare them to see if I should even try this...love Dr Berg's videos on keto but didn't know he did the OMAD videos, this fell in my lap...lol, okay maybe not lap but you know what I mean! Glad your health is better and you have a meal plan that works for you too!!!
diamond starr KETO is a very short term weigh loss plan. You can't be avoiding carbs your whole life you know. Or else you're going to be living in pain. "Dangit I ate some ice cream, nooooo." That's what you are going to be whether you like it or not. The real secret is to just go into a calorie deficit. P.S. - The information I have illustrated is from personal experience
diamond starr just practice an 18 hour fast of IF from Monday to Friday and then you can try OMAD on the weekends because we all know that's when the real binge eating starts. Or you can practice IF for some time before going into OMAD because trust me, the hunger will be unbearable. OMAD is great and just after 4 weeks you can notice some MAJOR weight loss.
Chicken Nuggets I feel you about weekend cravings, it gets real...lol. But your right, I've been IF for some weeks now and noticed how an OMAD will push me pass a weight stall. Thanks for your feedback!
Hopefully you could clarify something for me dude, it's known as 23:1 diet right? so am i allowed to eat for the whole hour, or only say, one plate of food(one meal) sorry if its a stupid question, but i am genuinely wondering :)
Currently fasting 16 hours a day, adding a half hour each week, until I get to 23. So far I'm loving it. I'm getting leaner and stronger simultaneously, best of both worlds!
First thing in the morning after a cup of plain black coffee, absolutely nothing in it. I've gone from two to one meal a day and I feel incredible! Good luck and good health.
I just jumped straight into omad straight away. Was hard for the first 3 weeks but now I am flying. Never hungry feel far better more energy just all round well being. By the way I'm 4 stone over weight and have lost 18 pounds so far. Just make sure you drink plenty of water and Apple cider vinegar and green tea when not fasting. Think I will do this for the rest of my life truly is the best way to live. So good luck with your fasting
Finally I got someone who says what I was believing for so many year. I only eat once and I am totally okay. People kept telling me that I should eat three times a day and stuff... but I here I am and I am still going strong if not stronger
i'm the same ... for over 35 years i've always eaten 1 meal a day ... people react by either 1) saying it is 'impossible' and not believing me or 2) warning me that its not healthy and 3) claiming an early breakfast is the 'best start to the day' ... but i truly believe that i have enjoyed the benefits listed by Dr Berg ... plus, as i am sure you agree, food tastes so much better when mealtime comes around ... just because my eating is restricted to a 2-3 hour window per day doesn't mean i don't love to eat!
Indeed, almost as if the body adapts and uses every cell of food and every cell in your body much more efficiently, since you're no longer flooding your entire body with excess waste. People think I don't eat enough when I tell them how I eat, yet on the flip side will compliment me on how healthy I look without knowing my diet. The brainwashing of society for the 3 meals per day or else health problems, yet most people with health problems eat said 3 meals per day, is ironic.
Been doing omad for two weeks now and done 48hrs fasting twice. I feel great, i feel less hungry, my skins is very smooth, my face became pinkish, i sleep very well, i feel like i have a wider vision than before, my mood and patience has improved by leaps and bound. For me fasting is so life changing. I started this motivation for loss weight but now i have realised that lossing weight is one of the least benefits of fasting there are more important stuff to it.......
One month ago I watched this video, while reading all the success stories in the comments bellow and I decided to give it a try. Here I am now 7 kilos down (the equivalent of 15 pounds) and feeling great about it. Even though I'm not doing keto, I'm very happy with the results so far! Thank you dr Berg!
I’m glad you said that because I’ve been on keto for a while but I’ve reached a point where I’m stuck in my weight loss. Therefore I’m going for OMAD and just started today. I’m hopeful 🙏🏼
@@Norawarsame Working out will add more benefits, but no you do not have to exercise, i remember when i was 20 and gained alot of weight due to medical issues, i did this diet(not too disciplined ) and lost 10 kgs in one month with a bit of soft exercise
I've been doing OMAD for 9 months and have lost 30lbs. I feel all of these benefits. I struggled with ADD before and feel so much more focused and my mind feels clear. I eat whatever I want during my 1 hour window and still lost 30lbs.
I would imagine if you really watched what you ate during that one hour (low carb) you could achieve Ketosis If you're mostly there already...why not take that final step into Keto?
And for those who prays, your prayers get answered quickly and you can meditate the word of God the whole day as u fast and pray...I started this fasting and im getting all benefits phsically, spiritually and Emotionally..
That's awesome. 15 000 children under the age of 5 die every day on planet Earth. Presumably many of their parents were praying for them. Maybe you can get the word out to them that they're not praying right or something.
Don't stop at 23 hours. Go a full 24 hours and gain an additional hour of prayer. Then one meal every other day, every 3rd day, etc. Forget about Karen Carpenter ...
This what happened when I started OMAD combined with 1 hour of normal walking every day and a cold shower every day. My skin looks much better, it radiates health. I have 0 mood swings. I feel 100% focused and full of energy. YMV, but OMAD, daily cold shower and 1 hour of walking each day is simply fantastic. I also lost a lot of weight.
brother but like he mentioned at the end it's like you begin to feel this euphoria as you fast and disconnect from eating, and then you eat something again and that feeling goes away. part of me wants to just not eat at all
@@Shayne_T I think it's hard to get enough calories on one meal a day. If you do that every day you'll damage your metabolism. 2 meals in 4 hours is probably better for a sustained lifestyle.
After three days of OMAD,I lost the hunger pains and the food obsession I had and am starting to feel better. 6lbs in one week is pretty freaking good. Yasss!
Big thank you 🙏 from me Doc, I’m a type 2 diabetic, your videos gave me clarity, direction and motivation. In 3 months I’ve turned the clock back 23 years lost 6 inches off my waist 40lbs lighter and turned my diabetes into remission, and in another 6 months I will be off the medication and dietetic free ... 🤗
Hello! I've tried OMAD for 70 days, I weighed myself: 85kg..... After 70 days..... 73kg. 12kg lost. I must point out that I'ven't practiced any kind of sport whatsover.... Eating fully during one hour window, than nothing but water and black coffee (00 sugar) all through the 23h! It works!
Unknown Unknown Yes. You should be able to eat whatever you want in that hour and not gain weight. Although, you lose weight even faster if you try to limit your carbs and sugar. I’ve been doing this myself for a month now and lost 27 lbs. It’s great but I would consult a doctor first to see if this diet is right for you.
@@davecabansay8965 ok thank you for explaining it to me. I have alot of weight to lose. While I'm fasting for 23 hours..any tips on what beverages to consume? Or not to consume?
yakapo999...I did OMAD 2 years ago and i KNOW the benefits are real.I fell off the bandwagon and went back to eating anything anytime,i regret it. I'm starting again this week..Lets do this💪💪
I started a fasting regime May 1 at the encouragement of a friend. I weighed 250. I’m type 2 and 62. I’m a landscaper so I’m physically active. I live in Raleigh and it’s summer. At first I did 16/8 and ate whatever I wanted but didn’t over eat. Then I extended to 18/6. At that point I realized I could do OMAD. The last few weeks I put MCT oil in my morning coffee and a smidge of Italian sweet cream.. I drink water through out the day but I don’t crave water(to remain hydrated you have to constantly drink) and I’ve added Dr Berg’s electrolyte powder to my other water bottle. I’m watching my carbs closely but I haven’t been overly rigid. I take all of the recommended supplements advocated for my condition and as suggested. I use Goli and CBD. I pretty much eliminated bread, soft drinks, lunch meats, sugar, and most sweets, chips(replaced by a handful of Brazil, pistachio, walnuts before a meal and sometimes dark chocolate covered nuts( small amount) for something chocolate.)and all snacking. I go out to eat at least once a week and eat what I want and have a mixed drink or two. Here are my observations, I’m not hungry. I do look forward to my evening meal and I try to be finished no later than 8 pm if not sooner. I eat good tasty food with a mixture of items. You will be surprised at how little you eat even going 20 plus hours. I’ve studied better nutrition for me so it’s NOT boring. Hardest thing has been including eggs more into my diet. I eat large salads several times a week but I add ample amounts of blackberry and other berries. Meat and fish, nutritional yeast but fried salad onions too. I drizzle some olive oil and dressing, heavy fresh pepper and pink salt. I’m not craving sweets or carbs at all. Since I’m not hungry I’m not snacking The Southern heat is NOT melting me whereas in the past it would. Removed the sugar. Aside from being 62 and doing physical work in the heat I feel great! My clothes are all loose on me( I’m a big guy) even tho I’ve only lost 15 pounds since starting. My target weight is 230(what I weighed 32.5 years ago when I got married) but my body is real happy now @235-240. I move like I’m half my age and have constant energy. My maleness issues have gone away and my wife is getting chased around the house again much to her chagrin. I will almost look forward to my next visit to the doctor. I know my numbers will be better! I could turbo what I’m doing but I’m fine and strangely I’m really enjoying this experiment. I do not feel deprived of anything food wise. I’m not missing any of the foods I’ve cut out. I’m not having any trouble getting back on routine when I cheat a meal. Even when I think I might eat earlier than planned I end up still getting most of a full fast in. Adding MCT may kill my fast but I don’t get hungry so I must be using my coffee concoction effectively for fuel throughout the day and I greatly enjoy my morning cup. I’m a foodie y’all. Waffle House is my favorite restaurant. I love to eat. But as my friend told me” you get an insulin response from anything and EVERY TIME you eat.” “ Your body needs time to rest from over working digesting food”.” Try fasting!” This may have been a life saver for me. Some years ago I read( and still reference) a book named “ The Four Hour Body” by Tim Ferris. That book resonated with me just like Dr Berg and others on RU-vid have. Contemplate the information you watch here. Try it! Be steadfast bc it’s an investment in yourself! I eat 7 meals a week. I used to go to the grocery twice a week. My bill was up there bc even tho I was trying to eat better, junk still ended up in my cart. Now I save at the store and I don’t feel bad about what I spend on my “ dinner” night! I’m proud of myself for the discipline Ive adhered to. I’m not going backwards bc I’m enjoying all of this even if In not total keto. Lastly I want to thank Dr Berg(and the others advocating for us all here on RU-vid) for their advice and encouragement. But I also want to thank everybody that posts. I read all of them and feel the camaraderie here!
@ David ,well done ! Thank for sharing your story. I am 65 years old and doing my OMAD today. Just read all the comments for some encouragement. Thank you. It help in a way.
On OMAD + Keto for 4 months, first two weeks were rough, then mind bliss - productivity & mood improved significantly - also eliminating the hassle & stress of constant meal prepping is another game changer, regret not doing this in my 20's.
I started this almost two weeks, ago. I will definitely follow this style of eating for the rest of my life if possible! I feel so much better!! I was struggling with emotional eating and nothing I tried was helping. I literally cried one day because I couldn't stop craving food. I felt so low and defeated. I started watching weight loss videos for motivation and stumbled across an OMAD video. I decided it was worth trying. I'm so happy I did. ALL of my cravings are gone!!! Sometimes, my mind will wander off to cake/pizza, the foods I was craving most, but I don't want them!!! I don't have to fight an urge. The thought comes and goes just as quickly. I haven't been glued to the scale. However, I feel lighter and better in general. I'm sticking with this. I drink between 3 liters and a gallon of water, everyday, too. It has been a great change for me!!! xo
Hi my brother. I’m not Christian but I’d love to get some reference on where it was said to fast! It’s amazing how science is just now discovering this
@@brokenhero6828 Matthew 17:21 “But this kind of demon does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” Depending on your translation there are variations. There are at least 40 places in the bible where they talk about fasting.
I used to be such a skeptic about these diets (more like lifestyle changes) and I honestly thought it was really bad for you! But during my most desperate attempt to lose weight and reverse pre-diabete signs, it actually freakin improved so much! everything thats being said in this video really did happen to me! I used to be a binge/comfort eater holding on to 200 pounds and I was 5'3 which is not good at all for someone with diabetes running in the family. Binge habits are gone, I can now turn away mcdonalds. I don't crave anymore junk. I already lost 14 pounds in a month, maybe thats not a lot in a month but wow the difference is huge. The euphoria is so real too, I can actually finish projects and feel motivated to finish things. Defintely worth it.
Thanks Doc. Ive never ever had a successful weight loss, but once I started OMAD, I lost 10kg in the first month, while also feeling much better! You need to try this out!
I absolutely love IF and this guy is my favorite IF MASTER. In 3 months of life changing and 2 mos of IF I have gone from 230s to 179 from 3xl shirt to medium 54 waist to 36 and it's loose!! I love love the lack of cravings.
I have been doing this for a few months, and it has totally transformed my life. I feel better, have more energy, less stressed, I am finally, ONCE and for all am off ADERROLL and I've been on it since i was a kid after a big car accident where i got hit by a car and landed in a coma. I feel so good it's unbelievable. I can't wait to see what this coming month will bring as way of weight loss!
Im 61 years old and I just started OMAD around 4 days ago and I’m already noticing some of those benefits Eric mentioned. Still early yet and I’m still feeling little hunger but not massive which is a relief.I’m feeling more energetic as well. I will keep you all posted in future with the results.
I have been on Keto and intermitent fasting as per Eric video and lost 22 pounds in 2 months, yesterday I started OMAD with Keto and lost 3.2 pounds in 1 day, very happy.
OMAD is the real deal! From 134lbs, now at 116lbs and this all happened in just a month. No exercise, I still eat carbs and a bit of sugar in my coffee. So happy with the result and I will continue this as a part of my lifestyle!
So many people are starting New Year's resolutions today, and the most common resolution is weight loss. So this is a perfect video to start the New Year. Outside of adopting a low carb way of eating, consuming OMAD (One Meal A Day) has been one of the most effective tools for me to lose weight. I lost 65 lbs (going from 230 lbs to 165 lbs) in 10 months, just using a low carb diet alone, but keeping the same conventional meal frequency (i.e. 3 meals a day, plus a snack here and there). However, once I got to 165 lbs, my weight would not budge for nearly 8 months. Then, I had tried intermittent fasting by skipping one meal a day. This broke my plateau and I started to lose weight. Then, eventually I went to on just to do OMAD. I subsequently went on to lose an additional 30 lbs, bringing my grand total of weight loss to 95 lbs. I am now, as a 40 year old 5'6" man, thinner than I was than when I was in high school.
So true!! My skin was glowing day 4 already.. I eliminated my dark spots completely in the last month of OMAD! Best decision I’ve ever made for both my body and mind!
I wish I knew about this earlier in my life. I've changed my lifestyle and have now gone with omad and keto lifestyle. I have lost 28kg since February 2018 it's crazy I tell you, I feel great and have a positive attitude towards life.
I’ve Ben on omad for about a month now. I have gone from 221lbs to today’s weigh in at 202lbs and counting. It’s so easy to do once you start. I eat virtually anything I want in that window. Plus my spinning on the bike and a light weight program workout routine.
saved a lot of money, lost my fat belly (very fast), have more energy and a great metabolism. more discipline, not just when it comes to food but also in other aspects of life... this is it! intermittent fasting is my life now! for good!
Before I heard of this I done it and lost almost 100 Pounds Reversed my diabetes And don't have gas like I use to that created my anxiety Listen to this man It helps and works
i was so depressed after i gained around 40 pounds due to stress and i started eating really unhealthy , late after work , and also i have a really slow metabolism so i decided to start OMAD after watching one of dr Berg’s videos and rolling 48 hour fasts so since october 26th i am down almost 30 pounds , i am feeling energized, i sleep better, no more mood swings , and my back pain completely disappeared..
Same. I also got ADHD and suddenly developed binge eating habits, I quickly stopped and switched to OMAD. It's easier to avoid overeating on OMAD. I started 3 months ago.
Me too. Intermittent fasting was huge for me, but found the more I ate, the more I wanted to eat. I imagine this is what I really need! Looking forward to this change.
I needed this right now. I'm only on day 3 of KETO + OMAD and I am super hungry. So, the reminder of WHY I'm doing this is so beneficial. Thanks for the video! You keep us INSPIRED Dr. Berg!!!
I’m going to try this. I’m already doing a 20 hour fast and I seldom want to eat again during that 4-hour window. I force myself to eat something at the end of the four hours, but this video has convinced me that I don’t have to.
7 months of IF and keto and the last two months of the 7 were OMAD. Lost 60 pounds. Just as strong if not stronger lifting weights. Mental clarity. Abs. Focus. Spiritual well-being. Libido up. Etc etc etc! Thank you Doc you are a godsend.
Finally the truth OMAD! Lost weight(90ibs),Lost anxiety, Boost Mood! I know that the world promotes three meals to maaintain the food buisness, thus Gym buisness, thus medical insurance, thus pharmaceuticals .... Wow imagine of everyone is on OMAD and nobody gets siCk ...Well NO buisness for the corporates
Went straight for OMAD and feeling great after 1st week. My cravings are almost gone. I make sure to eat well balanced meal with lots of veggies and decent amount of protein and fat. Try to keep carbs under 40gram a day. I can’t believe I am feeling so great after just a few days, I feel lighter, have much better mood, don’t obsessively think about the food all the time. For the first time I can see myself sticking to this dietary plan for a long time if not forever!
Same here! Started 3 days ago and feel great! Plus lost 2 pounds in just 3 days, this diet is amazing! I really don't look at it like a diet but a lifestyle change. I may switch up and try IF, kind of do both but OMAD is doing wonders for now
I'm on day 4. Days 1-3 were rough. This is the first day I just...didn't get hungry. I ate at dinner time mostly because I felt I should. Truly liberating feeling... Let's hope I don't return to the shackles of high carb grazing. Wish me luck!
Today was my first OMAD day. It was a success! I’m a 36 years old AA woman and I went to the ER earlier this month for a duodenal ulcer 😢. I’m ready to live a healthier life. Thanks Dr.Berg!
Thank you so much for posting this video Dr. Berg. I have been following the one meal a day plan for 3 months and have lost over 50 pounds. I feel AMAZING! Keep up the great work!
Been doing this everyday except weekends I was 245 now 188 and still more to go I love it! There's really no reason for me to stop and also just go to gym twice a week only
Parasite Eve hello so i have been fasting since November starting weight was 247 and im down to 200 i can seem to go lower its like wgen i eat i gan pounds back and thwn over night after 6 on when im fasting for 16 hours ill be back to 200 how dows omad work plz
@@janicebermea1442 Real simple. That's the beauty of it. Eat one time per day. Until you are full (careful not to gorge food... I struggle with that). My suggestion is to not worry about WHAT you are eating when first starting out (it's restrictive enough to eat one meal) then later on I found that I absolutely had to have a salad (big one preferrably) at every meal. I am not even sure where or when that desire started. Then wait for the next day to eat. I have decided on making dinner my one meal. I do this for two reasons: 1) Social acceptability (easier to blend in with the normies/family/non-IF'ers) 2)HGH release in the morning is not disrupted by eating breakfast (good time to workout too)
Great video!! I started with IF in Jan for 2 weeks and then discovered OMAD. It has changed my life and really got this down to a science now. With fasting, dry fasting and what Autophagy can really do for you. I've gone from 236 pounds to currently 166. My goal wt is 135 and still have a way to go! When fasting you need to do it right. I'm on a 48:1 at the time moment.
Much congrats to you and your success!! I also have been eating striktly keto and warrior diet since march 1, 2019 and as of last saturday have gone from 236 to 165. An just now beginning a OMAD regiment to try it out!!! Even though your last post was from a year ago, I hope to hear of contunued success from you!!!
Two week update - energy still good but I must eat very heavy protein and fat in the meal or I do not feel well at all. I’m staying away from carb heavy meals for now.
Two month update. I’m 4 pounds away from my goal. Still feeling fine. It’s starting to get hard to eat enough calories in one meal. Maybe stomach shrinking? I’ll be switching to two meals a day within 2 weeks.
I started intermittent fasting 2 weeks ago and I’m down 15 pounds. I’m about ready to step it up to the OMAD plan. Thanks for the knowledge Doc! You’ve helped me a lot! I’ve been sharing your videos so hopefully that’s helping you also. ROLL TIDE!!!!! 💪😎
For the past 13yrs people have been telling me it's not healthy, I've been doing this since mum stopped making my lunch in grade 8 and I was too lazy to. Awesome to hear I'm actually on a great diet plan! Definitely improves the immune system, I only get sick once a year a week max, if at all. However I'm also on the pescatarian diet which aids that.
I'm about three weeks into this, changed over from eating twice a day. I'm doing great and am closing in on my weight goals and have improved every aspect of my health.
After a few days the inflammation in my back decreased tremendously, so no pain! It was almost immediate. My skin is clearer, I cannot wait for my anxiety to get better 😁
I'm on omad for 22 days now, started October 1st , I feel great, motivated, active my skin is so much better ,I look amazing , and I don't have as much cravings as I used to , but i've only lost 3 kilograms in 22 days 😔😔 , i'm going to continue on this diet even if I don't loose as much weight as I wish for, because the feeling is awesome, 💪🏼 it's life changing
Update. Lost 12 kg in 5 months. now solid 95kg. I'm 192cm. I did started to have headaches. I eat little dried banana with porridge etc in the morning. And my main meal 5pm(I eat loads of veg chicken turkey you name it. Every now and then maybe couple times a month I'll have junk food. But its not a treat. There is nothing good about it. Mindset is everything. human body is amazing. No more energy drops in more nothing no more nothing I'm an animal.
@@a.s945 ...sorry, AS, but if you eat porridge in the morning you're not really doing OMAD.....sounds fine and I'm sure it works for you, but it's not OMAD.....
Hi Dr Eric. I am 53 years 5 feet 7 inches. . 5 years back I weighed 118Kg. . Took me 1 year to come down to 80Kg & reducing my waist size from 50 inch to 37 inch. . For the last 4 years I've been fighting to loose another 13kg to be 67kg but seemed impossible. Kept on going between 90kg & 80kg. . I've gone through about a 100 of your videos & BAM I am NOW 74KG & waist size 34 inch. . Lost about 9KG doing intermittent fasting (one meal a day) + Three 48 hour fasting in last 59 days. . I know I will be at my goal weight of 67 in the next 2/3 months. . I am grateful to you for helping me take the correct path.. THANK YOU. . TARUN DATTA
I remember coming across this video a few months ago when I just started intermitting fasting and I'm so grateful I did. (16:8) I remember thinking to myself "okay, why not? I'm 26 years old, tried multiple "diets" and nothing has every worked for me." Now, 4 months later, I lost 20kg (44 pounds) The weight just melted off! I sleep better, have more energy, no cravings and less headaches. I don't think I will ever go back to eating 3 meals a day. OMAD is way of living for me. Oh and the best thing about it is: when I just started, everyone around me, friends and family, co-workers, thought I was crazy for "starving" myself. They didn't understand why I was doing what I was doing and to be honest they didn't really wanna understand either lol. But now, once they saw you can still maintain a healthy body, while eating once a day, most of them looked into fasting and the health benefits of OMAD and started as well. Excited and happy about the positive impact that it has had and still will have in the future.
I tried OMAD after my blood sugar go up, immediately my blood sugar come down, but my friend told me this is risky, and then I found this video, now I have confidence to continue! Thank you so much!
OMADE is the way (one meal a day every single day) for almost a year now. LIFE CHANGING. Feeding window around 20 minutes a day. Average daily fast length 23 hours 30 min
T. I. N Mateus I find my favorite length of time to eat the one meal of the day is about 53 minutes on average. (Just under about hour is my favorite) it’s the most pleasurable and I think you’re right. Eating slowing is way better for our health.
I.d like to start or i have already started by no choice on that..n didnt know it was soo beneficial. What do you do when you are hungry before that chosen hour? N during working hours..drink coffee or fruits?
I also want to try it,tell how it works? Do you eat all the food that you were going to eat in different times(breakfast, lunch and dinner) at the same period and does the food like fruits and other things like biscuits also count as meals?
@@Siya-fn5pu welcome to Dr Berg's binge viewers club. He has answered all those questions in his videos. When I search for particular subject I put for example "Dr. Berg what to eat during OMAD" and etc. You will learn so much from him!
I have been struggling with IF. I have been doing 16:8 and find it difficult to stay consistent and be disciplined. I’m on my 3rd day of OMAD and it’s MUCH EASIER! Just 1 meal a day so it’s more sustainable and simple to follow. I’m not as hungry as I am with 16:8. OMAD seems to be working so far! I gained 20 lbs during COVID and so far have dropped the water weight (4lbs). I hope I can keep it up and make OMAD my lifestyle 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
That's amazing! Congratulations! I will share this with Dr. Berg! If you’ve benefited from Dr. Berg’s program or content in any way, we’d love to hear your success story! If you would like to share it, please use this link: www.drberg.com/add-client-success-story Dr. Berg's Support Team.
