The most impressive thing to me is taking that last turn at 40 mph. I take turns at 20 mph and feel like the back wheel is going to jump out lol. And that pass on the outside going up the hill? Balls of steel. Great stuff.
@@nsant me too, I've done decently well club racing my R6 and anything over about 20mph in a turn im scared to death lol. I've also crashed my bicycle and broke my collarbone a few years ago
Great video. and your quality is just getting better and better. the drone shots. love it. hope the collarbone's healing up well. Also, what a beautiful course through that neighbourhood
I always hated crits and circuit races because of the high risk and crazy crashes. Thank you for posting this insanity. It's really fun to watch, and gets my blood pressure up with that conditioned race anxiety.
Please upload the unedited full race footage of this race if you have it. Again, it is amzing to watch this stuff while smashing intervals on the trainer.
Rode this in the 80's. 7-11 team was regular. Eric Heiden dropped his chain in middle of the hill. He turned around, rolled to bottom, set the chain, and rode back up the hill in the saddle. Two laps later he was in the pack.
Another awesome win for Ryan and TMB! This time it was determined by skill.. and yes.. power. That inside pass on Chris and the set-up going into the hill might as well have been done on a dirty singletrack. Very impressive throughout!
Just a small suggestion (it might be a bad idea) but could you mirror the rear view camera. That way, it would be like in a car rear view mirror. When you see a rider coming up on the left side of the rear view, it will then come on the left side of the main (front view). Anyway, just an Idea like that only me and maybe 3 other people might notice haha. Good videos, I love seeing them as I still have snow outside.
Great course. Every year, everybody’s there. Great drivetrain choice, race decisions, earned win. Thanks for the production work, Jeff, and for posting. Consistently great content, lessons, and production quality 👍
perfect video very nice done with all those shots and angles, and stunning but really stunning surrounding, you live just perfect there, looks like the weather was just as perfect to, all in all perfect day perfect video really enjoyd this one, cheers up from the netherlands
NorCal Cycling Technical University! When are inscriptions open LOL?! Keep up the quality content, Jeff. Hope we get a chance to ride if you guys ever do a Girona training camp...
Not really a big (National) race but one of my favorite wins! What a course! Not for the meek. There was a lot of hay on the last turn when I raced it and I felt both tires slide into the gutter. Some guys would shift to the little ring for it…big mistake!
Hello, I'm from Paris, France. Do you know if there are training criteriums like the ones regularly presented on this channel in the region? Thank you!
I'm about to have my first road race(Flat) in June 3. I have good fitness uhmm. It will be a 30km race and the bike I gonna use is trinx climber 2.0 is it good?
Is there a reason why race organizers can't set up a proper finishing straight in these crits? The road is there, the finish line could have been 150m later...
@@chrisko6439 Why must be a "proper sprint" for the finish? Why can't it be a finish which rewards technique, smarts and power instead of just power alone?
@@andrew7taylor No problem with that if it was the case every now and then. But it seems to me, these crits all have a corner 150m to the finish line. Kind of boring. It like to see a few guys really fight it out for once. They have a long straight at Alviso, but there, Jeff is usually beating the other guys by a roadtrain's length.
