Welcome to Next of Ken and today, we're counting down 23 Of Bart Simpson's Best Prank Calls. One of the running gags on "The Simpsons" is Bart's prank calls to Moe. In fact, he's done it so many times he's driven Moe to the point of insanity. But really... Moe should be wise to this stuff by now. Thankfully, he isn't because Bart's pranks have gotten funnier and funnier as the show progresses onward. In fact, we put together a compilation video just for Bart and his infamous prank calls because we love them that much. Enjoy!

Fun fact: Bart's calls were based on real prank calls that were done by two guys named Jim Davidson and John Elmo. They sent many calls to The Tube Bar in Jersey City between 1975-1980. You can find actual recordings of the calls on RU-vid.

There were a couple in this list that were from more recent seasons. Specifically, the one from the Family Guy crossover, the "Moe Ron" one, the one where Homer answers, and the text message one were all fairly recent compared to the rest.

There's a theory that Moe knows it's Bart and knows he's being prank-called, but that he only answers and does this because he's lonely. Besides orders or awkward encounters with people in town, Bart's calls are the only communication he gets, and he answers and plays along intentionally.

@@sct913 While that is odd for a school due to school hours overlapping with the typical work day, having a bar as an emergency contact number for a father was not uncommon for after-school activities back in the '80s and '90s. A dad might drop a kid off, then goto a bar before picking the kid up.

It has been revealed after so many times so long that Moe knows. Oh and Homer reacts by saying "oh my first prank call" like he got a good mystery shop customer score. He's happy to get a prank call and even told how to go along with it and Bart finds out the regular bar tender is 10 times smarter than his dad is.

After all these years I still love the Simpsons especially the gags like Bart’s. Think it’s a bit sad that some of the storylines have at times have suffered but hey 35 years on tv and counting is still an impressive record.

It’s obviously part of the whole standing joke that Moe doesn’t instantly recognise Bart’s voice . In fact he sometimes does and it’s true, Moe’s comebacks and death threats are often the funniest part of the prank phone call scene in The Simpsons.

The scene where Moe is reading the register in the classroom. Tat brings back memories of whenever I had supply teachers in secondary school. They would have us write our names down on a bit of paper. We would often write in a few false names too. They were usually stupid enough to actually read them out when calling the register.

Julien Torres That was funny for different reasons back then, because, before Chalmers was introduced, Skinner wasn't a man without any personality, he was a figure of authority, who even if Bart defied that authority, he was afraid to get caught by him, unlike these days when Bart doesn't care if he does, also, Skinner could stand up against any situation, like when he beat all by himself to those 3 Disney lawyers who wanted to shut down the school carnival or when he threw away the mobsters from his office when they went to ask him to treat Bart better, so, that scene with Moe was funny because of the altercation and confusion Bart created between Skinner and Moe with Moe having to apologise to him.
