Started camera late. You missed some pedal turns and sliding. This starts with a couple of quick stops, a square pattern, 2 normal approaches and 2 autorotations
Hello from sunny Scotland, loved the video and if I had a place with lots of land and Sheltered by trees I would be out running around in the nip, especially when it was raining.🤣👍
@@rumpledxkn I have the doors. But it's still not all weather. Still have off the shelf generator and exposed wiring external to the cockpit. I've gotten through some sprinkles, but wouldn't do anything more.
Been watching your videos now for a while. Back in the early 1980's, I was an enlisted man in the US Army, serving as an Aircraft Armament Repairman. I was 18 years old, and my dream was to become a pilot. Previous to that, as a teenager, with a paper route, I paid my way trhu flight school, earned my PPL certificate but, due to money constraints, didn't finish flight school. I ended up with a grand total of 13 hours flown. FF to my Army days, I went to school to increase my ASVAB scores, which I did, then I took the Army Flight Aptitude Test and scored enough to move on to a flight physical. Unfortunately, I stopped there because, I've been an eyeglass wearer since HS. Mind you, my sight loss wasn't so bad, I've scored 20/20 vision in subsequent tests throughout my life but, back then, I knew it in my heart , I would eventually fail an Army physical. To this day, I kick myself in the ass for not attempting it, who knows, I might have continued on my career in the Army as a helo pilot. Left active duty after three years and joined civilian life, where I re attempted to earn an RW certificate. Passed Ground School but other finacial responsabilities which popped up, prevented me from starting to fly helicopters. Suggestion, I know it is a pain in the ass to edit these videos but, would you consider adding captions? In this particular video, you described what you were doing but, from watching alone, people not educated, might miss what you were doing. I was thinking about the auto rotations, however, after watching the whole thing, I was able to discern them...WOW! It is true when they say, auto-rotations are like a falling greased manhole cover! Used to watch those from the ground when I was in the Army in Ft. Riley Kansas.
I keep trying to improve some of the editing I do. Last video I actually included a moving target that tracked John Travolta's house as I flew by. I'll keep working on it. Thanks for watching and commenting. And on Veteran's Day, thank you for your service.
I had 2 xe mosquitos. Neither had the amount of vibration and movement of the cyclic as yours does. It looks like your stiring a pot of soup. I would have Dwight check it out, something isn't right.
I agree 💯. I noticed too the amount of cyclic input to the left mostly on a hover. During flight he was all over with cyclic as well trying to maintain the flight. I new something was not right.
Nice little copter. Love to have one. I have flown many helicopters including the Apache. I’m not familiar with the specs and systems on this Acft, but It look slightly out of rig If you have to push the cyclic to left in order to maintain a good hover. Enjoy the acft.
I do enjoy it. I'll have to hang it again and check the weight and balance. I have made a few weight changes and it could be out a little. Thanks for the input.
I'm guessing that's a turbine mosquito heli. Wow, I've been wanting a mosquito for about a decade but a back injury has left my left foot paralyzed so I've pretty much think I'll have to sit that one out. Besides, there's a better chance I'd be in the ground before I finished the project. Fly safe!
Dang Scooter! That's one awesome little machine! Looks like it handles like a dream close to the ground. Force trim? Can't tell if you're thumbs mashing a force trim button or not. The green button is obviously for hellfire launch, right?! Also guessing those jeans aren't nomex and the footwear doesn't have steel toes! Have you done autos with her yet? I'm seriously impressed (and jealous!!)!
Yep. Still working on the autos. I would have walked away but not sure about the bird. No trim or hydraulics on this one. Have a very basic collective friction, but that's it for assist. If you remember flying the jet ranger hydraulics off, then that's what this is like.
