You or anyone had any luck with a 25-06 building a long range Remington 700 bbl with a stocky stock and a Burris Black Diamond scope any info on powder and bullet's would be great thanks
Hi, finally someone testing the ELD-X 90gr bullet (GREAT)! BUT I wish you had used the H4350 all the way through. I have a Tikka 243T3X rifle and my load is 42gr of H4350 with the ELD-X 90gr bullet. My results are like your 5th target, but just a little better. I cannot get any more H4350 at the moment, so going to ADI AR2209. Keep up the good work and THANX.
I've been shooting the 90 TGK in my 6mm AI with 53.0 gr. H4831sc, it shoots 3500 FPS with an e.s. of 11. Shoots 1/2" or better. Have you tried H4831sc with this weight in the 243? Also here in Canada I have not been able to find the 90 TGK for a year and a half now. The eld x may be a good replacement when my supply runs out.
I use to load 95g TMK’s with IMR4831. I still have several loaded up. They shot great. I just recently got 2 boxes of 90g Gamechangers for $31 a box. Hadn’t seen any in over 2 years.
I tried the 90 gr ELD X in my 6 ARC and my 243. I got the same results you got. Neither rifle liked it regardless of powder. A buddy gave me the bullets to try and I'm assuming his rifle didn't like it either. I think its the long bearing surface that causes these open groups.
I found recently that H4320 is a good powder the lighter bullet weights, didn't know if you were still with the company I'm sure ya heard about our building over here in Indy, total loss
Try seating the bullets where the boat tail is past the neck of case then try 5 thousands deeper probably will get a accuracy improvement they seem to like a longer jump in my experience
