It has come to our attention that some people might be offended at our presentation of the Tourette's syndrome (#12) on this video. We want to take this opportunity to apologize for any offense that may have resulted from our interpretation. Far be it from us to maliciously make fun of any kind of a person's syndrome or predicament. The laughing gesture at the end of #12 was a reference to another popular RU-vid channel, but we do see how it could have been interpreted as mockery of Tourette's syndrome. We want to officially apologize. Mockery was never our intention. - Juan
Both my daughter and I have Tourette's--and suffer from the coprolalia (cussing) aspect of it. No, I am not offended, whatsoever. On the contrary, I felt pretty good about it being represented; for people to hear about it's involuntary nature is a good thing. Trust me, most people with TS have a pretty thick skin, so no worries!
It amazes that even though so many people have access to google they will never double check something. I could say anything on the internet and people would run with it
Oi List25. I would love to see more videos like this, with the questions and answers about random things in the way that you did. Really, really enjoyed it. Please make more. ;)
Where's the scientific research behind some of these facts? I can believe some of this and knew some of it already, but some of these statements are controversial. Proof is needed.
+Tristan@List25 The Video Guy Should of used E=MC*2 the C= universal constant or speed of light. Wrong stands for causality which Happens to be the same as the speed of light.
+Gabriel Kingbird There's a chance me may change at some point. Mike's actually the third guy to host/narrate this channel. I think Juan from this video was the second, although if he's the same guy, he was much thinner before.
if you did that just because you thot mike wasnt gonna be in the video, then ur not a real fan. a real fan would watch and like regardless of who was or wasnt in the video.
If MSG is not bad for you, then why do I get horribly sick when ingesting it and even have made a trip to the hospital? I'm sure my doctor would disagree.
Completely agree with you. MSG is bad for you. It's an excitoxin. It overloads your brain cells with sensation thus making them explode. And it tricks you into believe that the food you are eating taste better than it actually does. While it's true that not everyone has a reaction to MSG, it is INDEED toxic to everyone.
MSG naturally occurs in the body from glutamate and is found in natural foods as well. The actual dose to cross the blood-brain barrier and cause damage is significantly higher than the actually daily intake. Also, if you’re having symptoms, they’re either all in your head or you consumed a much larger quantity than recommended.
Actually, some people have legitimate MSG allergies. My husband did - it gave him an anaphalactic (sp?) reaction. It's a similar allergy to bee stings. He had to have an epi pen with him in case .
One of the best list videos I've seen! Not that I didn't know this stuff, but I really get tired of people who can't abide MSG or catch colds from not wearing a jacket or eat spiders while they sleep. All of these are things people actually tell you, which elevates your list above all the other (largely dumb) lists I've started watching and promptly quit!
Fun fact - another one of the reasons chameleons change their color to show their mood. I remember bringing my chameleon home and watching her go from dark green because she didn't know what was going on to bright green because she was happy and relaxed. It was cool to watch and I was happy to see that she was settling in.
I loved this video. I enjoyed seeing all three of you. I just really loved the way you played off of each other! Also having the information of why some of the things are false helps
Deanna Tingwald Oh, they don't seem too bad, some of them may actually be useful. I expected software that is created to damage your computer. Really interesting. Thanks!
IDon'tKnowWhyGoogl s vsearch, Mackeeper, and conduit are pretty bad and can lead to even worse viruses such as a rootkit, but generally they are just REALLY annoying
I love y'alls channel!!! I repost to my FB all the time.... Actually, politics and things like this are all I post to my FB lol. Never personal experience hahah
5:41 thanks for reminding me what I somtimes sleep in the same room with. L.O.L. yes I'm serious yet find it funny. You just made my day. Good video as always.
Great work guys, I reckon you should bring the others in every-so-often on a more regular/irregular basis just to liven the party, even if you are only going to be dicks to each other for fun! :D I'm not saying Mike isn't keeping the party going solo(he is), but sometimes more people help make facts just that little bit more fun... :P
Oh my God I laughed so hard on #4 when he slapped him....that was soooo funny. Your videos are so much more funny and entertaining now. I like having a face to see when getting the facts. The fact that it is a good looking one, is just a bonus.
The earth could be flat (I personally think it isnt). for every argument you have for it being round there is a very good answer. Like gravity... it might not even exist, instead the flat earth could just be moving very fast upwards... the right hemisphere of the brain can't talk. this is proven by people with hemispheres which don't interact with each other
I've heard that thing about colds lots of times since I was quite little. Also when I was a kid, there was a chameleon in the class for a while, and while I found it creepy and wanted nothing to do with it, some of my classmates thought it was a cool toy. And so one day it got really upset and turned a bunch of bold, vivid colors that didn't match its surroundings at all. The colors on this particular chameleon were clearly more heavily influenced by internal factors than external ones.
I think he spun number 17. If you verbally ask them if they are an active on duty person. They must say yes. They just done have to identify themselves on their own free will that God gave him.
+Ryan V Servants of the law are not required to identify themselves as officers on their own free will, no. But they are required to identify themselves in the act of arresting you or trying to enforce something upon you. If you ask them, officers are required to tell you if you are being detained, and what you are being detained for. And they are supposed to release their badge number, if you request, in the case of reporting abuse to their superiors.
lol I wasn't expecting him to slap you this is certainly one of the best videos i watched on your channel i watched quite a few i started watching your channel today
I Love Your Videos And I Like That Your To The point also these other list channels take ages explaining. Although not to be a smartass but the only thing in this list that is wrong is number 15.
+travis hunt it's because glass is made from sand, which is melted into a kind of liquid, and then back to a solid. Which makes it both solid and liquid
+pokégal love whatever phase something is in at a normal temperature determines its phase. Just because it was a liquid under extreme circumstances doesn't mean it's classified as a liquid under normal circumstances
I don't think I have ever met anyone in my entire life that thinks glass is liquid, or even could conceive of it being liquid. Quite frankly, that notion seems ridiculous to me and I don't get how it made this list.
Most of these were common knowledge back in the 80s and 90s, and even into the 21st century. Science is correcting itself regularly, but I'd like to know where you found the updates for these factoids. On the whole, love the videos, even if it seems Tristan gets the short end of the stick more often than not. ;)
6 things: First, MSG is very bad for some people, such as my mother, who are allergic. Second, a few clarifications about Tourette's syndrome. TS is characterized by at least one vocal tic and any number of motor tics. Vocal tics are any tics involving making noise with the throat, and are as varied as sounds that can be produced by the human throat. I have TS, and my most common vocal tics are the noise quarterbacks make and something that sounds roughly like pflbtsk, if I try to transcribe it. The uncontrollable shouting of foul language is known as coprolalia, and while a subset of TS, only affects a small percentage of people with TS. I say foul language, as it sometimes consists of an entire sentence, and there have been studies of children with coprolalia who grew up in very religious households and have not been exposed to swears, and tend to have tics uttering words such as satan. Third, the part of the brain responsible for speech is on the left side. The fine motor control needed to talk is thus more important on that hemisphere, which is why most humans are right-handed, but other species have an even split. Fourth, some parts of the tongue lack taste buds, and cannot taste anything. Fifth, cracking joints can give you arthritis, but it would require constant cracking 24/7 for several years. Finally, exsposure to dangerously cold or hot temperatures for prolonged periods of time can weaken the immune system, allowing cold viruses and bacteria more chances to infect someone.
Hey some filmy tips: 1.Zoom out slightly and center yourselves or choose more interesting crop for you guys. 2. Darken the lighting or focus it on just you guys so as to create a better quality look. Currently you guys look blown out. 3. Wear a shirt that contrasts with the background. 4. Practice the skits and make sure even when you communicate with the other actor, you are still looking at the camera.
Hey Mike, I know this is so not the point but I'm super stoked that someone else can make there knuckles crack like that by just making a fist. Everyone I've shown or has seen me do it gets all grossed out and I've never known anyone else who could do it. I'm curious did you injure your hand in some way and then you were able to do that or was it just an inherent skill you have always had? I only ask cause I could never crack my knuckle without pain/difficulty when I was a kid but after my first real fist fight when I was like 12 or 13 the next morning I woke up and they started to crack every time I balled my hands into a fist, hell now I have to slowly ball my hands into a soft fist to get them not to do it. Like I said, I know its off topic but it just kind of caught me off guard and had to ask
The one I hate is people who think it's illegal to cut off your mattress tags. It's only illegal for the SELLER not the owner and the tags CLEARLY state this!
Thank you for saying the thing about Tourettes! The ticks can be verbal, physical and/or internal. It can be very painful because nerves in your body are, at times, being stimulated non-stop all day and all night. It is exhausting, painful and swearing is one of the rarest ticks, but the biggest misconceptions. Kids used to laugh at me and then tell me they wish they had it so they could swear whenever they wanted. That was very offensive. One adult once told me I should never have kids since I am going to swear all the time around them. Very rude!
I always thought that you were more likely to get a cold in cold weather because you were more likely to be in enclosed spaces with other people who may be sick.
