Best advice a guy gave me this year about working out... “Just show up and do the work everyday. Your body might not look any different in a month or in 6 months, or maybe not even in a year, but in 10 years, you’ll definitely be able to tell the difference between yourself and someone who has not been working out over the previous decade. The transformation will not happen overnight, BUT THE TRANSFORMATION, WILL, HAPPEN, OVER TIME!” 😉
@@dougedoug2105 Most definitely but consistency is key with diet and the right cardio plan you will see results in 3-6 months to a year he simply told you that because he never wants you to give up so you can be where you need to be he sounds like a good dude stay at it bro
Started yesterday. 23 years old and 235 lbs only 5”9 . Got to lose 40 pounds. Wish me luck. I appreciate everybody’s comments, the many reasons why I won’t give up this time.
@@swedesboromusicstudio9737 5'9 244 soon to be 40 in 3 months. We all got this! Let's keep posting and help each other. 40 lbs is also my goal. I've already dropped 26. Got 40 to go. Intermittent fasting mixed with tracking, kettle bell workouts, swimming. What's yall plan for food/excercise?
Crazy that I ran into this video because he said something about the Hugh blood pressure and this just happen to me yesterday (11-25-2020). They took my blood pressure and asked me if I was ok because my pressure was reading 213/125...went to the ER to get an IV to bring it down and gave me 2 types of blood pressure meds to take. All I could think about was me at 35 years old being a disappointment to me my wife and my 7 year old daughter. I’m in tears right now cause this is my story that’s being told by another mam who has gone through the same thing I am currently facing. Thank you both 🙏🏾
I remember back in 09 when I had to get my pressure checked for the first time due to me getting my CDL and the doc asked me the same question. My reading was 190/110 at only 25 years old. The struggle is so real! That's just a saying to most, but to a lot of us that's real life. Now I have a 7 yr old and I failed her I allowed her to now become unhealthy, I also failed my wife by allowing her to do the same. I truly needed this wake up call, I've been up for the last 32 hrs thinking about this.
Man bro, this hits home for me. My father is Jamaican and my mother from the south (Mississippi). Big and diabetes and heart disease was the norm. My heaviest was 316 pounds. My BP was 150 something / 100. My a1c was 6.5 or something like that. This was almost 60 days ago. Now today, I'm 288. My BP is around 130/78ish. My a1c is somewhere in high 4% and low 5%. I can FINALLY walk with my wife without back pain! My goal is to get down to 220.
My God, if this isn't inspirational I'm not sure what is. Congrats to this brother and anyone else whom has conquered this obesity demon. WE ALL CAN DO IT!!!
LIFE CHANGING.. I lost 71lbs so far starting weight was 367.8 current weight is 296.8. Im ina slump right now my old eating habits coming back strong. And i find my self working out less and less.. but watching this is inspiring me to start over and go 10x harder with my workouts. Thanks alot 💪🏾💪🏾
You got this!! Keep moving no matter what. I've gone back and forth so many times with my weight but each time I see results. I'm happier at that choice to keep going than the one wishing I hadn't stopped!
@@faithinallthingsw4088 keep going don't focus on old habits just set small goals That are easy to reach Focus own small amounts of fat loss I set ten pounds fat loss goals Untill I reach my goal weight
Indeed a dope conversation. Straight meat 🍖 and to te point. I appreciate his direct assessment over his life. He owned it from beginning to end. Bro is a true inspiration.

Motivation is a luxury that comes and goes. Being disciplined will always be more important in any area of your life ❤... like he said motivation comes and go and that's indeed facts
Inspired. Nice to get real dialog from real bros that aren't afraid to be completely honest about the full spectrum of living life overwieght. This channel is a God send!
This is just awesome. Anyone thats physically/mentally able transform their body and get healthy. My wake up call was when i realized the downhill my health was falling to. Being 250lbs with high blood pressure, asthma and prediabetic. I had to hold my breath just to tie my shoes. I knew then and there i had to make a change. 6 months later from cardio on treadmill and low carb dieting. Im now 61 lbs lighter, no more medicine and i feel great. Thanks you robert for the motivation. Your videos keep me going.
Your channel has changed my mindset just in less than 24 hours. I started watching you last night and I went and ran on my apartment roof because I just wanted to do something! You’re different than other RU-vid people so tysm🙏 🙏🙏🙏
I was almost 270 pounds I'm only 5 feet 3 inches tall so I'm short and I was looking about 8 months pregnant at that weight 🤣 took me about 6-7 months but iv lost over 70 lbs I feel amazing I reversed my diabetes and high cholesterol ect I never thought I could lose weight but let me tell u once your sick of not feeling good and not looking good in your clothes you will finally crack and say that's it I'm eating only healthy food!! I didn't even exercise except for walking this was way easier then I thought you can do it I promise
As a woman going through her own weight loss journey, it's amazing hearing a male's pov and struggles. Obesity knows no gender or race. For all those going through your own struggles, know that you are not alone. You can do it. Even if you have fallen by the way side. Never give up. You are worth it!
Thank you Brix for posting these types of videos. I'm in dire need of a change like this. Long time subscriber jumping back on and watching again. Great content
I was going through stuff times a year ago when I found your channel by chance. I was overweight and in a bad relationship. Since then I lost weight and got on my purpose. Since then I got a woman who is amazing. I'll I can say to those going through it is trust in the process. The pain is worth it...the weight loss and healthy lifestyle is worth it. This is a lifestyle and you have to stay focused and encouraged
Brix, I follow alot of RU-vid fitness channels. I have a 100 lbs to lose (55 down now). Your channel content and messages give me the best push to commit to the gym and to my goals. I can't thank you enough.
Mane. This was dope as hell. Big shoutout to David on his whole journey and doing what he needed to do for his family, but more importantly, his own well-being. Brix, I appreciate you for making these transformation videos and talking with the person face to face so we can get their story from them personally. It's inspiring and I want to be one of the stories in 2021 but I just got to kick this lazy and inpatient mindset bro. No excuses though because it's all on me. I'll do it and I'll get there. Thanks for doing what you do. Stay safe and stay well bruh.
I'm 6'2 and I went to my physical about last month so I was weighed approximately at 298 (nearly 300) by my physician. My normal weight was around 181 pounds so I was put on invega injections in every month that year. Sadly I've gained 117 pounds after I was going through a lot about my dad's younger brother who passed away in October 2019 turned out to be my uncle. Now I'm currently 280 and my main goals is to get stronger, faster, swifter, better, and look aesthetically good like my favorite rapper kevin gates but my ideal weight would be 184. I'm finally cutting back from carbs, sodium, cholesterol, fried chicken, and fatty foods. God is good 🙏🏾❣️
You have to add content on what’s being ate. I think that would be for extra content plus expanding your interviews because these are actually really good to watch.
When you think of HOW LONG it will take for you to lose all the weight just understand that 2 3 or 4 years is going to pass no matter if you choose to lose weight or not. Its not about how long it takes, its about how long it takes for you to get started. Start TODAY, because on 01/01/2023 you'll wish you started on 09/04/2021
This is so informative. People need to understand that all the underlying reasons for not getting it done and being healthy unconsciously hinder people who want to lose weight. You do have to focus on an easy routine and stick to it. Keep it up brix.💪💪💪
I saw someone say that surgery is cheating but what y’all are missing (in conjunction with you being wrong) is that Dave never stopped working out. He’s worked out SUPER hard from the time he started losing and he’s not stopped. I’ve never seen someone push through mental health hurdles, loss of motivation, and other stuff to work out every single day and post about it consistently. Dave was putting in WORK WORK. He didn’t just get surgery and let the surgery do the work for him. He worked alongside it. This wasn’t a shortcut for him. It was helping him stay the course. Dave is a great friend, a beautiful human, and one of the hardest workers I’ve ever known. Instead of coming on here and putting someone down, try to speak words that build people up.
First of all, to the people who say that nonsense, I ask them "cheating who?" I didn't realize this was a contest and you got a prize at the end. I didn't realize a person's individual path to health and wellness was anybody else's business but their own? Anyone who chooses surgery doesn't owe anybody any explanations.
Back when I worked security, I had a similar experience at the dentist with my blood pressure. That scared the hell out of me and I immediately dropped fast food, got a gym membership, started walking more, started taking the stairs instead of the elevator, went on a diet of tuna, chicken, and rice, and cut out all sugar cold turkey for 3 months. Lost 80lbs. Its crazy how fast self preservation motivates us to get our stuff together.
I am so inspired! I am just 5’5 and used to weigh 219lbs at my heaviest last September. Focused on consistency in exercise and eating a more plant-based diet. Now it’s December and I weighed in at 200.6 lbs this morning. I am stoked with my progress and I know I want to get down to a lean and cool 180lbs by April next year. Watching other people’s stories inspires me to keep the fitness journey going!
This man is special and I hope he knows it This should be his job going forward He’d save so many lives … the honesty is the most important part and he spoke to so many things I went through when I was on my original weight loss journey
I enjoy this channel, I’ve made a lifestyle change recently went vegan and I’m enjoying this new fitness journey I’m on. After so many years of destroying this temple God gave me I’m really starting to feel the benefits of being committed to living healthy, as my mind, body, and spirit are so clear and focused now. Plus I’m a chef and I’m a hell of a cook..LoL Peace & Love
I come from a Jamaican Household I’ve struggled with my weight all my life. Everyone in my family is bigger between 220 - 250. My niece decided to make the step to do better and got from 260 to 160. Everyone has high blood pressure. My mom just got diagnosed Pre- Diabetic. I’m honestly scared that I’ll end up with high blood pressure and diabetes. My weight fluctuates up and down. It’s my inconsistency that gets the best of me. The weight doesn’t move fast enough and I know it’s not going to be easy. It’s just hard to get out of bed sometimes, and get into a routine. I only eat once or twice a day and drink water or coconut water or Powerade. It’s just hard but I want to see myself in a different light.
I’ve lost 15 pounds in 25 days and still going to 60 at first I struggled with motivation and videos like this of people I can relate to help push trough
I’m 6’3 last time I weighed myself I was 298 I lowkey need help to quit my soda and fast food addiction Shit is honestly sad how much I feel like I’m fighting demons to get away from soda and fast food 🤦🏽♂️
@@dennisofarchontalent1620 appreciate it and thank you and congratulations on the 40 pound lost hopefully I will be there with you soon on this weight loss journey
The fact that soda has aborted fetus tissue from dead children should be enough to make you want to put them down. This is no lie and public knowledge and can be found Through a quick search on your smart gadget. Put them down brother..."they" have been poisoning us for a long time...if you knew what they put in our food you'd go to the nearest toilet and vomit and snatch everything out of your fridge and pantry and trash it.
@@xFLYBOII here is a documentary for you fam...I watched this and got to 41 mins and got up, turned my tv off and went and threw damn near everything outta my house no lie and began eating healthier...when you see this you will either keep going unhealthy or get motivated, I got motivated...please watch as much as you can...when I want to back track or fall off I go put this on and I still have not watched the entire 1.5 hours thing because just a bit is enough for me to say no... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8gqwpfEcBjI.html
