The H.M. club is probably the Hacienda Manchester, Perverted by Language was recorded live there, for about 50% for sure, they also shot the video from Eat Yourself Fitter there. Eat Yourself Fitter could be about the new partypillz, Hacienda was famous for it. Anyway, my favorite Fall album 👍

That makes sense about the Hacienda. Love everything about that music video. Also, anytime you get to see Mark dancing, it cant be missed.

My least fave of the early years, just kinda boring. Funny because I love the singles and B-sides from this time but the album it'self is just kinda dull and uninteresting, sounds like they are running out of ideas, sounds like they need to change things up, let their new guitarist come to the fore and take a greater role in the band......

How do you like this one compared to the other Leckie-produced albums? In future episodes we discuss your exact perspective, where we wonder how/why some of the singles+B-sides (especially) are much (much) more interesting than the album tracks.

@@WeAreTheFallPod I love all the other Leckie produced albums tbh (love PBL too - better than any of the 90's ones just not a fave, it's just odd to me than the singles around this time I love so much more than this album). Yeah the rest of the 80's though - albums, singles and B-sides are all 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
