This "too white" movement over the past decade has been annoying and disingenuous. They never say entertainment properties are ever "too black" or "too Lgbt" even though those demographics are vastly over represented in today's media.

If its true, that Dacosta will direct the follow up sequel to this new movie, I'm pretty sure its gonna suck because in that case Boyle will have to "prepare" the ground for her, since its about to be a trilogy. The mere fact she's considered at all, says a lot. I thought its gonna be Boyle's only. Now I'm seriously afraid...though I'm gonna give it a chance of course because oh boooy, I love the previous 2 movies ! but wow...these news instantly lowered my expectations :(

Im from the UK, and it's majority white in England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, with 1.7% of the population being black so the casting is accurate.

I don't care what you look like. I just hope you give me a great movie. What happened to Melissa was unfortunate, but it's Sidney Prescott and Ghostface that are the Scream draw for me with or without Melissa. I am definitely looking forward to Scream 7. It's my second most anticipated movie. It will do fine at the box office. 28 Years Later will definitely be interesting. That's for sure. The only time I care about looks is when it's time to start casting Scooby-Doo. That original cast was top notch. Outside of that, I don't really care. Just give me a great movie.
