This week I built a heavy-duty vice for my drill press with metal that was lying around my shop. I didn't invent this vice, I saw this on RU-vid and then I just built it my way.
Hey Donald. . Thanks for dropping by the Dog House. Yeah, it is simple and free except my welding wire and hydro. Plus it's the right size for my vice. All the best in 2024 for you and your family my friend.🙏
Hey Rusty. Thanks for dropping by the Dog House. I wanted a vice to hold bigger pieces of metal, but they were very pricey. I didn't invent it, I just made my own version of one that I saw.
Hey Dog just wanted to drop a line to you , I know you have a few new videos out, I plan on watching them first thing in the morning, in fact looking real forward to it, only been able to watch videos on Sunday because of how busy in the oil truck, talk soon buddy😀😀
Hey Loves. Thanks for dropping by the Dog House. Hell, even I laughed at my own joke. It was to show Rocker Pat that not everything was bigger in Texas.
Awesome Side Project Brother!!! Should Be A Good Size Vice For The Drill Press!!! Canadian Finishing Nail!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Keep Rocking It Out Brother!!!
Hey Pat. Yeah, I wanted a big vice for my drill press, but it is very expensive to buy one. So I made one. It cost me about $4.00 for wire and about $3.00 for Hydro. I thought that you would like the Canadian Finishing nail comment.😋. And you thought that everything was BIGGER IN TEXAS.
Great project Andy! Going to work nice on your drill press. Always cool to be able to build something you can use. I'm sure you will use it a lot. Great job brother👍🏻
Hey Dan. Thanks for dropping by the Dog House. I made this to suit my needs. I wanted one that would hold my bigger pieces of metal. They always seen to jump at times when the drill starts to break through the backside. Now they will stay in place.
Hey Moparnut. Thanks for dropping by the Dog House. I really like it. Now I can hold bigger pieces of steel and not worry about them spinning or moving.
Really nice old school Delta drill press. Am looking out for a couple of older floor tools myself for the woodshop. That drill press vice looks like it's really gonna do the job. Look forward to ya getting back on the Buick. Be safe and stay well.
Hey Brian. Thanks for dropping by the Dog House. I wanted a vice to hold bigger pieces of metal, but they were very pricey. I didn't invent it, I just made my own version of one that I saw.
Hey Matt. Thanks for dropping by the Dog House. This is not my idea. It's just my version of a vice that I saw. I'll checkout Jason. I'm always looking for cool things to make.
Hey Glen. . Thanks for dropping by the Dog House. I had some flux core wire lying around and I figured I would use it up on this job. It is very dirty and smoky. I always use gas/mig when welding body panels. But I think the flux core gets better penetration. And we all can use a little more penetration now and again.
Hey, Rusted. Thanks for dropping by the Dog House. Yeah, they better watch out. The Dog House started a new racket. I feel safer now drilling bigger pieces of steel in the drill press. I find that they want to jump when the drill starts to break through the backside.
