Dude 😮😮😮 like wtf 😮😮😮 This build is by far one of the coolest ones I’ve ever seen. It just has so much character and obviously the fact that he did it all is always an instant cool factor as well. Love that it’s a 6sp 👍 It def could use a bigger motor but that’s the only thing it could use. This guy is just a badass fabricator and his attitude towards his build and life in general is like super refreshing to see. Usually guys doing these builds act like they’re such a hard ass. Life is short, smile and mess around. That’s how I act too so it’s cool to know I’m not the only one. That tail gate and the way he can sit in the back is totally one of a kind and again just one of the lil things that makes the truck this truck so freaking badass!! The interior is also just perfect especially with the way he has his air hose set up with the stock air system. Also his front bumper, to engine, cab cage and bed cage look meticulously done and more than just done right. Just wanna day again super sick jerb bro 👍👍 I’ve got a 2000 AC Tundra that I’m slowly but surely building and seeing builds like yours just motivates me to keep going and also inspires me as well, so for that thank you bud 👍😎 Also f&cking badass job you have too! I grew up off the 166 more towards Pismo but as a kid we would go up to Pine Mountain in the winter to stay at this cabin and go sledding. Love that area in the mountains all around Mariposa 👍👍 Thanks for showing your build bro. Maybe I’ll see ya around until then. Drive safe and keep crushing those damn Hippies! 😆🤣 🤞
Well Done Travis! It was such a blast riding with you in that beast two years ago, some really serious dreams came true for you in the never ending build! We were hopping around the hills near your parents place on the roads after the fires was awesome! not withstanding something in the front suspension "Popped" up the mountain! But that is what zip ties are made for. greetings from Oz!
Woah. I'm in love! I'm curious what the plans are for the future. He said it needs more horse puppies so I imagine a LS or something? This guy doesn't seem scared of trying something new, so my vote would be a diesel! Maybe a OM606 or a R2.8? 😛
Of course the helicopter mechanic is using safety wire for stitching his truck back together 😂😂😂 my dad was a helicopter mechanic and if you could put safety wire on it, he did lol
how do you get the wheel alignment to hold on these trophy trucks? I have a 02 ranger and the alignment wont hold, but i also hit speedbumps at 60 km/h
All the factory adjustment cams have been removed and replaced with solid bolts and adjustments are done with hiem rod ends in some of the pivots...the only way the alignment gets out of whack is if something bends and or breaks basically. But gotta keep an eye on those hiems and uniballs as they are a wear item and need to be changed when they develop slop which translates to slop in the steering
i have a question for travis. will you swap trucks please. i have a 08 UK standard factory spec. single cab toyota hilux. 2&1/2 ltr d4d engine, 250,000+ genuine miles. some dents, scuff's & no yield scars:). but an all round daily driver working girl pick up and :). she has limited slip, 2, 4wd. 4hi & rear locker as stock. when she's not working she goes to the local super market, off pavement trailing, drifting etc. but all stock factory. i'd hate to lose her but, you girl is so much prettier, has 4wd and looks more fun hahahahahaha :) cool truck amigo do you wanna swap for a huey ? please. :):):)
Yea...dont have coil slider stops on there...so it smashes the tender spring flat...really there isn't much preload on the main spring...is the setup ideal? No but it does what its supposed to....I'd like to go to a true dual rate setup ideally.
@@basikbiker it’s a sick truck, I was just joking around. The rest of the truck is pretty damn clean. I’ve got a raptor with a bedcage and some kings and it’s just not enough performance especially up front so I really want to learn some fab skills to go turn something else into a dedicated prerunner
@@IISevv no worries man! Truck was built on a budget on what I could and can afford at the given point in time...just trying to be informative to the comments is all...raptor is a good platform to build from! At the end of the day its about the smiles and thats what matters
So its a rack out of a 07 and newer tundra that I tear down and machine down to proper width for a tacoma and accept tacoma tierods...some minor fabrication of new mounts on the frame and it makes 37s feel like stock small tires...much stronger
Yo terra crew! Im iso a fiberglass glass front end for a 86 pickup. Ivan iron man style if posible if anyone have a source for it.. central California.. cash in hand
@@sam_s_ unfortunately not at this time the racks i modify only fit in 05-15 and with some more work the 3rd gen tacomas....was running into clearance issues between the rack and oil pan on the 4th gen runners
Depends on cage layout....if your head can't hit a tube when your strapped in. Its fairly safe...is it the safest? No but same goes for driving old cars without airbags
@@user-ii8fz4sf6h yea tube placement is really important especially if your gunna daily it...cage saved my bacon a lil over a year ago but I wasn't belted in all the way and bonked my eyebrow in a rollover(rolled3 times) if your gunna drive fast highly reccomend a cage...shit will save your life
@@basikbiker that’s sick! How is it fitting something that wide through the trails/streets? I’m waiting on a long travel kit for my Dakota that’ll be 90-92” as well!
