We use a number of different Evan Moor workbooks as well and really like them as just a little extra. Who Was Books - LOVE!!!! Song School Spanish is so much fun!
I am so excited to get started with Song School Spanish! Yes, Who Was books are the best, I just ordered a bunch from BookOutlet! Thanks for watching and commenting ❤
From Well Trained Mind First Language Lessons (FLL) and Writing with Ease (WWE) are designed to be used together, but you can mix and match with other curriculum. FLL covers grammar, punctuation, and mechanics; WWE covers writing skills - narration, dictation and copy work.
Hi. Can you let me know why you like primary over dimensions? And do you know that a NEW primary is coming out next week? I’m torn between the 2 for my Kindergartener and 2nd grader. I love the layout of dimensions.
Hello! For me personally Primary took the lead because as a teacher I do not have to modify the activities its already talking to me as a homeschool teacher. I also feel like Primary is clearer when it comes to student should know steps A, B, C before continuing on to D. With Dimensions I didny always feel there was a clear line on what needed mastered before going forward. Yes I have seen the new updated Primary, I've looked at it a little out of pure curiosity but I'm trying not to 👀 too much ad I dont want to have to make another math decision 🤣😂🤣 I hope that helps and honestly they are both outstanding programs and you cant go wrong with either one. I Agree the layout of Dimensions is smoother when compared to Primary. The new Primary is enticing also😀
@@melissamoore280 Hello! I did not continue with WWE2 (however I'm hindsight I think that would have been thr best option) Ioved over into Writing & Rhetoric which was too much at point. For grammar, we moved to Evan Moor for 3rd grade....again not sure I'd do the same with that one either if I had to do again. For grammar you might be interested in Ideas by Jivey on Teacher Pay Teachers. That is a fun way to do grammar with picture books that I found effective for the lower level. We are now using Fix It Grammar for 5th grade, big fan of that.
We are most definitely leaning towards Primary Math as well in our homeschool. LOF is SO much and she loves them and has really learned quite a good deal from them. I personally couldn't do just Life Of Fred, but love them as additional math fun!
@@knowledgebynature8480 have you checked into singaporemathlive? It seems like great support for parents. I'm not strong in math (can I blame my schooling or lack? Lol) but I'm really leaning towards Singapore and her website looks like great support
Hello I’m new to home schooling(: just decided to start this year and I’m running out of time to submit an affidavit so I’m searching and searching. All of these books you’re showing us are from different “curriculums” right. I get a bit confused. As long as we cover each subject we should be okay right? I’m scratching my head right now haha.
Yes all of my subjects are picked from different resources. I find the one I think works the best for our learning style. Each state has their own guidelines on what needs covered. Once you find that out as long as they dont require certain curriculum you should be able to purchase what you feel is necessary. As a 1st timer dont feel like you have to do it ALL, just start with your basics and add to it as you feel comfortable:) good luck ❤
The first thing you will need to do is find out what your state/area requires from you. Once you know that figure out what subjects are a priority for you. Example reading, writing, math..start with the priorities and add in the rest as you go. If you try to do it all at the beginning it can be very overwhelming. RU-vid is a wealth of information for homeschooling, and every family is different. Try what sounds the best for you and change it if it doesnt work. Good luck!
Looks so great! I always enjoy your videos! Glad you liked Lollipop Logic, we are going to be using it this upcoming year. We really enjoy Song School Spanish! My kids are young, but they are still able to grasp the basic things and we all end up singing the songs intentionally at times too! Haha
If you cut it out you are using the back sheet letters also. If cutting the letters cam only be used for either the front or the back but not both. I supposed we could have cut/paste one page and wrote on the second page. But cutting definitely takes one of the options away.
@@knowledgebynature8480 Sorry, I didn't see that they were write on top of each other. So odd they printed the page that way when they intended it to be cut out.
