2v2 Amazon Tunnel (Low Elo Legends) 

On higher ELOs you don't really see those massive fights where both teams just wait and build a big army, and then at one point just throw themselves at each other. Good old frontal assault tactic. On higher ELOs it's more like choosing which fights to have, microing, countering and raiding.

Red's early map control was feeble. Sticking a palisade wall in an advanced position doesn't do anything other than alerting the opposition into dropping a castle. Blue was very smart here. GG.

PLEASE more team matches Low ELO Legends! My dream is to be in one of your Low ELO Legends vidoes one day, but I only play team matches.

One thing i loe about the tuetons is their tuetonic knights, not just because they look and perform awesome, but because historically the teutonic knight/crusader were some of the best warriors of their erra, making the tuetons in Age of Empires somewhat historically correct :)

You can get some insane 4v4 amazon tunnel games. It works best when the teams are well balanced. 1 hour into the game and you have absolute insane carnage going on in the middle. I'd love to see T90 cast one of those games!

So, to counter Teutonic Knights you need- Purple: "Men-at-Arms"? No, you need a- Red: Halbedier? Not quite, you need to make- Purple: Camels?

I strongly prefer Amazon Tunnel to Black Forest. In fact its really the only closed map I actually enjoy. Much more fun than Arena or BF.

I always pick Amazon Tunnel when I play with AI, it's relaxing. I have lost a few matches after AI took all the relics while I was busy booming, that was funny.

Amazon Tunnel in an eight-way FFA makes a tunnel for each player that intersects into the middle. Makes for a long game, but could be interesting to see in a community game.

Man, I miss playin like that. In the last year, when I tried multiplayer at first, I studied build orders from different people, tried to use hotkeys more, learned which counters which, watched my matches to why I did lose and also learned other build orders from fellow players close to my level and for what? I'm still a Low Elo Legend, just better than these guys, that's all. Instead, I stuck in 900-970 elo with all the players are trying to pass 1000 elo. It's just too competitive, so, boring for my taste. However, if I tank my elo delibarately, I'll just be a smurf. If I knew multiplayer offered these playstyles, I wouldn't bother to learn this much at all tbh. Just look at them, peacefully playing their games with little action and stress until the big fight. Maybe I should quit the game and don't play like months. Still, I'd remember those goddamn counter stuff and wouldn't send camels to halberdier unfortunately. Before, camels were just a cool difference from those cavalry for me, not a thing to stop them. I really miss the old days when I played with moderate AI 10 hours in game time. I was just sending units without knowing anything, and somehow, winning after 10 goddamn hours but sometimes I lost too. I wish I hadn't learned too much tbh, probably that was my biggest mistake in the game. I could be one of these players instead of being another Low Elo Legend with just a little bit higher elo. Yeah, I should probably quit multiplayer. Maybe I'll turn into these guys in time even though I'd remember some counters.

LOVE you show games like this. I have an older lap top, I have the Original AOE & expansion pack. I get bored with games quickly, and I played AOE a bit, but, would get bored. Then I found this channel. I'm now hooked, I was bored because I didn't know how to play properly. I've gone back to school, so I can change careers, so money's tight. Deregue Johson's name made me laugh out loud because it's so obviously brazilian (I'm brazilian) that I don't even think I can explain why that name is so funny to anyone else. And listening to t90's pronounciation of that name made me laugh even more

I had a fun community game between friends that was 4 vs 4, It reached a point where my team were clearly going to win and I had in excess of 20 castles so decided to queue 60 trebs, I truely did not trickle

This was a great matchup, very close in skill. Hopefully theres more to come in the future

Many people actually like to clean every single unit and building off the map. The same for trying to keep alive until your last unit goes down. It can be satisfying lol

Somehow, I didn't catch on that Amazon Tunnel was just referring to the map that was used. I thought it was referring to one of the teams chopping a massive tunnel through the forest to pull off a sneak attack. Felt kind of disappointed that the sneak attack didn't happen. lol

Imagine a 2v2 where you can share the buildings between the players. That way, one focus solely on defense, building and eco while the other focus only on army without worrying about building stuff. It sounds like fun to watch.

And after a long day of fighting, the Teutonic knights go on a date with the Gbetos. They are all dressup up nicely already.

I am a true low elo legend. Been playing the game casually off and on since I was a kid, scared to play online and never have until DE, get clapped every time I do. I think I have like 6 games played and 2 of them were "victories" where the other player DC really early and I got the elo for it. My first game was a true victory with the poles on arena lol then every game after I've been destroyed.

If red and purple went arbalest and organ guns there would have been 0% chance they lose. Somehow they both avoided their best units like the plague

Just a suggestion, but from the last video I watched, I noticed sometimes you call players by their names, or their colors. To better the viewer exp, I would think do the introduction with the names and their colors, but as the game goes on just use colors. Reason being, names are hard for some to remember, but map colors are instant. So if said viewer doesn't remember the name then now we have to constantly divert the attention to figuring out who's being talked about. Just a suggestion but I believe it'd be productive. I'm one of those and ik, for me personally it'll take twice as long to watch any of your videos simply because I have to constantly rewind to catch up with names vs colors vs teams (in team games) ect.. just a tip for easier/more/consistent views and support. In the end, introduction player names, linked with their colors, and then from there call colors lol. People can see the stats on CA, but colors are easier to see on Diplo and mini map

Hey t90, might the audio be from the AoE2 game running spectator on its own program? From what I know, CA copies from what DE shows and that could be making the noise?

2v2 is where its at. Loved this format back in the day. All the boys in the computer labs at school, ladder and all 2v2 league was fire.

A couple dozen unsupported (and well-upgraded) Elite Teutonic Knights can merk a castle in about 10-15 seconds, tanking the arrow-fire with maybe 5 casualties if you're not marching them up one-by-one. They're a perfect marriage of siege unit and infantry, strong VS every infantry counter except Mangonels/Onagers, or someone doing horse-archer micro to take advantage of their lack of speed, because foot-archers just won't do it. And even in the case of the latter, if you're the right civ, use Kipchaks or Mangudai. You can literally just set these guys to aggro, drop them on an enemy and pay attention to something else while they chew through units and defenses.

Turn ALL of the volume levels OFF and I bet those sliders aren't even programmed into anything because you set "Output level" to "OFF" (or 0%, whatever you wanna call it) so you should hear NOTHING! This is clearly a bug. You'll need to tell the devs about your configuration so they can reproduce it.

It's me......I'm scared to play online. Played 1 game and won after killing a vill with a scout off the start and TC ko'd his scout. I have 900 hours in campaigns and playing with friends. Wouldn't say im great, despite playing this game since I got it as a CD in a cereal box.

Camels counter cavalry. Knights are cavalry. Therefore Teutonic Knights are cavalry. Therefore Teutonic Knights are countered by camels. T90 just was not in the low ELO mindset as the battle snowballed into the red/purple base.

I'm starting to think that map control can be a really bad thing at low ELO. It can lull you into a false sense of security, make you think you're safe because you have some castles and towers, so you don't make more military, and you don't push. If you don't have map control, you have to think about how to retake it, so you scout what your opponent has, you make counter units, lots of trebs, and you push back. Then you build on that momentum.

Can't believe they did not just go for relics with such area control.

On a 1v1 the other night I lost 5 cannon galleons to my opponent's castle before I realized he had crenellations. I wasn't watching the attack so couldn't understand where my ships were going. lol.

Team games are great when you are bad. You can potentially get carried by your teammates, or you can boom while they get attacked and look like a beast when you counter attack with a superior force while never helping your ally. Finally, if it all goes downhill and hits the fan, you can blame it on your teammates and absolve yourself of any fault.

Team games are MORE stressful than 1v1 because there are more people for you to let down

Those low elo wins are generally early attacks on resources making enemy panic quit against another low elo players, i also got same type wins and im getting destroyed most of the time in 800 elo haha

I would have enjoyed this game a lot more if it wasn't mostly a tutorial on how to fix sound. at 22.16 I'm almost frustrated enough to quit.

I play far worse on a team because I play with my brother who is not nearly as good as I am. He starts us out with very high resources, while my build order is based on low resources, and he sets treaties so the enemy is able to build up all the way before I can attack them. So, that's how it is.

I am a LEL forever. One time I asked my enemy for mercy. Then he let me live in a walled corner for an hour. Then one of his mangonels went berserk and killed my two villagers.

Also one of the reason us noobs play tgs and not 1v1 is it's hard or less fun to learn the game if you play alone and get stomped so many times in a row. In tgs it is a bit different, more fun and sometimes you get saved by a better teammate.

The wood chopping is louder because the trees are just harder, and the villagers are striking harder.

Personnally, I absolutely love hearing the wood chopping sound. It feels like hundred of little ants scurrying about and working for the greater good. It strongly feels AoE 2 and makes me remember my younger days when AoE II was THE game of the moment. You didn't need to freak out about it unless it annoyed you personally.

How about a little warning when you're about to start shouting like a crazy man. Some of us are trying to watch at work.
