This definitely helpful. A friend on mine called me saying she already replaced the tremostat, water pump, radiator, upper and lower hoses and the coolant Reservoir and can't get it to burp out all the air. I took a look at it and everything is installed properly and we topped off the coolant while running the engine and we just couldn't get all the air out. I had no idea that the oil cooler is coolant operated. This is the only part they haven't replaced.
It’s running fine right now sitting at half as long as it’s driving 60 miles down the highway but if I get on it on a really hot day, it’ll get up to 3/4 and the fan won’t go off
I have been having the same problem after the fan broke and hit the radiator. Changed fan motor, fan and radiator. Did a pressure test holds 15 psi, did combustion test all good. What to do now. There is some oil around the oil cooler but no coolant. Seems like air in the system although I bled it many times. Could it be the oil cooler even though it holds pressure in pressure test when the car is switched off
Aaron, I have the same issue it stays around half it goes to 3/4 and then it goes back down to half. I’ve had three thermostats put in it. New radiator new hoses new everything still does it.
No leaks nothing had it burped multiple times I think that there is an air pocket somewhere in there. I don’t know where the fuck it is. This Mexican guy told me today that there’s something about these motors. I’ve been investigating it to see what he was talking about I couldn’t understand him.
