Hey coach I just wanted to say I enjoy your videos. My only grappling experience is BJJ. When I shoot on my opponents I feel as if I’m getting a deep shot. I usually end up underneath in a turtle position. I have trouble finishing my shot. Any pointers?

I do BJJ also and suck at clinch and takedowns. The class does some things but I seem very slow to do it correctly and remember. Maybe I need to take some Wrestling privates to learn the takedown and clinch game. BJJ just does not spend the time needed and I am not interested in MMA

My guess is knee placement. Your head and hands are likely deep but your knee isn't. Get your knees where they need to go and they will fall and hard to sprawl.
