3 ATV Amigos Cross The Beaver Dam - May 24 2014

We are quite a few videos behind, so this video is actually from May 24 2014. Out for an atv ride with the 3 Amigos - Ricky Bobby, Grassman and Drifter! Took them around to show them Cubbee Falls and some other cool spots that they had never been to before. The suckers were spawning in the creek, actually, we saw them in two different creeks. Had some fun playing around the beaver dam. All in all, a great day of riding and an awesome time!

Yup, eat'in dust sucks !! But if ya back off enough not to be affected, some times the rides in front leave ya !! And now I remember whey I don't like two wheel drive two strokes in the mountains ... WHAT ?? Just say'in !! ... HAHAHAHAHA !!! Cubbee Falls looked awesome.Grassman did pretty darn good at the beaver dam too. The two stroke guy did darn good in those mud holes too !! WOO HOO !! Looked like it was a heck of a good ride !! THANKS for shar'in Cubbee & CK !!

It actually turned out to be a 4 wheel drive and he has new mud tires on it now too. The dust was pretty bad that day for sure but not much you can do about it I suppose. Yup, it was a great ride and thanks for stopping in for a look!

Hey Cubbee and CK! Wow, what a awesome ride! I have been looking forward to this video since I first saw the photos from it on your Facebook page. Drifter's ride is cool, that was the first time I had seen a Scrambler 400 2 stroke in action. I was impressed at how well it did in that rough terrain. Nice hearing that 2 stoke idling too! lol Grassman's Honda was looking good with his new tires and rims and he was hilarious in that beaver dam area! I noticed that Ricky Bobby has a 700, has he ever tried any wheelies with it? Nice ride and I really liked the slide show at the end, very well put together. You did a great job with all the editing Cubbee! This will be another one of the classic Cubbee videos to me! Thanks for Sharing!!!

Hey Palomino...thanks for checking out the vid. It was a great ride and almost had 1 of every brand with us. The 4x4 Scrambler went through anything the rest of us did and it does have a nice "rap" to it. No wheelies from Ricky Bobby yet...we thought for sure Grassman was going to 'loop' the Honda, but he made a nice recovery. Glad you enjoyed it!

We used to catch suckers on a rod and reel in the spring. Then you cut off the head fins insides and skin them. You then run them through a sausage grinder twice season with a little salt pepper breading and deep fry. The best fish patties you ever tasted. After spring they get a muddy or musty flavor. jimbo

Love the 2 stroker, Cubee...and the hill in the cut at 9:20 looks like the hill you tried with the snow-tracks on in one of your winter vids.Love that KODIAK too btw.Looks like it is more stable than the big Griz on steep inclines and off-cambers.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out the vid! Good eye, that is the same hill into Cubbee Falls that we took the Grizz on tracks on. The Kodiak is very stable, doesn't sit as high and the Grizzly suspension is set softer. Both great quads!

LOL 2 stroke scambler is awesome. My cousin has an older 4 stroke. That's what lead me to get a Can Am Renegade. I like the sporty styling while still offering 4wd. Biggest downside is the front fenders are so small that you wear what you ride through.

LOL - was that Drifter writing his name at the top of the falls at 10:14? The beaver dam playground provided for some good entertainment. I thought the G-man was going to flip over forward - scared the crap out'a me! Can't imagine how he felt. Did he have to clean his shorts out when he got home? lol That was a nice shot of Drifter on the beaver dam at the very end. Awesome fun day of riding! Thanx for sharin`!

lol! I noticed that too, I think he was! He had a pretty good angle going there for sure. I think he just cleaned his shorts out in the beaver dam with the leeches! hahaha Drifter did good with his worn out tires. He has since got some mud tires and has come along on another ride. Unfortunately, the tires got the best of him and he broke something in the front end. Thanks for stopping by for a look Q!

Great video as always. I never get tired of watching you guys. With all the big rocks on parts of this ride I was wondering, are you using stock skid plates on the Grizz? If so are they holding up well? My riding area is very rocky and was thinking maybe I should upgrade at some point.

+Tripp Myrick Thanks very much and glad you enjoy the videos! We are still just using the stock skid plates on the Grizz and so far so good. We don't ride a ton of rocky terrain but every now and then have some nasty ones (we call them rim busters!) We need to get some for our Can Am as the CV boots in the back don't have much protection.

I always liked those Scramblers but they are two stroke, do you know if they require a lot of work like other 2 strokes? Cause I think it would be nice to own one without the work, great job as always! :D

Awesomeness3738 Honestly we really don't know...it's been out riding with us a couple of times. It has a chain drive in the back and a shaft drive in the front. Drifter doesn't mention any "tuning" he's had to do but afraid we don't know anymore than that. Thanks for watching!

Cody Johnstonbaugh Good eye Cody...when we looked at the Grizz's zilla's next to the much newer zilla's on the mudpro you could see the wear...that is what an extra 4000 km's will do! LOL They should last quite a while still - hopefully!

Hey cubie, great video as always. I remember you redoing your trailer in a video before, and I was wondering what you used to paint the steel/frame. It looks good and seems to be holding up.

Hi there! Thanks for watching. Yes the trailer is holding up pretty good. It has a few chips from rocks and needs a bit of touching up. I sprayed it with "rocker guard"...stuff you put on your rocker panels and then sprayed over it with a rust paint. We also got it "rust checked" this winter hoping that will help.

Hey cubbeezx I just got a 14 grizzly 700 eps and want some new tires would u still recommend the Zillas because I do mostly grass riding and I am going to plow this winter with them? Also if u went a size up did u do any clutch work? Thanks.

Congratulations on the new ride Cameron! For the terrain we ride, we would highly recommend Zilla's. We have over 4000 km's on them and they are still working great in mud, snow, rock, grass etc. I have 27's and just put a 1.5mm shim in the clutch and it works great. I lost a little bit of top end, but nothing really noticeable. Hope that helps!

We find a storage box comes in handy and we upgraded our tires/rims too. A winch can sure come in handy LOL

TheDirewolf We use the SENA bluetooth backpack for Gopro. When we talk to each other using the SENA helmet communicators, it records the conversation. CK also has an external microphones hooked to her Gopro.

We don't do a lot of mud riding, but definitely it is worth the investment in some good tires....our Maxxis Zilla's are a great all around tire and don't plug up with mud/snow but I'm sure our viewers have others they'd recommend....tires anyone?

StephenMc2000 I have a honda rancher and have the mud lite XTRs on it and I also have a Can Am Renegade with Swamp lites. Both are exceptional, but each have their strength/weakness. The Zillas and mud lites are similar. They'll go hard in the mud and sand, but you may find them slick on certain surfaces like rocks and fallen trees. The swamp lites ride very well on any surface but are a little more narrow and tend to dig on softer surfaces.

Just pull back on the handle bars and give it gas....wheelie!

Lean back and pin it mate! Helps to have a 700 or 800. Anything lower then that it's very hard to do.
