I love that you still added some real life elements like the oatmeal overflowing or the baby peeing and tooting LOL thanks for still being REAL humans!
Charles Moore, buying spices in a Mexican store does not guarantee getting authentic Mexican spices. I have been looking for Mexican oregano for months with no success. I've found they have adjusted their spices to American tastes. Any suggestions would be welcome.🤔🙏
I am not vegan, but these ideas were great! I really want to start incorporating more plant based meals in my family's diet. Our budget is always a concern. Thank you for the ideas!!!
Yes please continue to make vegan meals for beginners or on a budget and healthy snacks. Your son is looking more like Erin and good chuckle about Max making himself know in this video lol 💨😂😊❤️ Thanks for the videos!
runnerjet09 we didn’t have much luck with our spinach last year so we are going to have to try again this year before we figure it out! Kale-we love lacinato and curly kale and plant lots of both!
I usually manage to do the same thing even in a pot! The skillet probably makes it cook faster since there is more surface area on the bottom and for the water to evaporate.
if you use canned food as base its ok because your adding water or veggies. its practical because you cant always have every fruit or veggie . frozen is better. my gf and I switched to making vegan and vegetarian meals and she been helping me adjust my old recipes to vegetarian.
On the burrito bowl, if you buy some fresh jalapeños (always very, very cheap) take out the seeds and finely dice them, along with cilantro (also very inexpensive), that burrito bowl would be taken to another level for pennies more!! Mexican food, if done right, is always a vegan’s winning go-to cheap, nutrient rich food!! 👍🏽
Looks great . . . especially the red lentil curry with garbanzos. But I would definitely substitute toasted Buckwheat for white rice! White rice is very high glycemic and causes weight gain for many people. Buckwheat is Much higher in protein, more flavorful and lower in glycemic index by far. Also buckwheat is non-gluten. "The King of Grains!" Try it you'll like it!😃😃😃
I just ran into one of your videos last week and you guys have me hooked. You guys are the cutest couple what a cute baby. I'm a vegetarian myself and your recipes are fantastic. Keep the videos coming.
Love the idea of buying beans, rice and oats in bulk. We have a Winco in our neck of the woods which carry these product in bulk. Thanks for the great video
I'm currently eating a big ass plate of sweet potato, quinoa, and black beans topped with tahini, white balsamic vinegar, salt + spices. ❤️ Plant based is best!!
Hello, I’m not vegan at all but I might be transitioning into it. These are great recipes I only have one question. Can I eat vegan with out measuring what I eat if I want to get fit?
YES YES YES!!!! Please do snacks. I'm a snacker so I need all the healthy choices I can get on this transition over to VEGAN. I know you have a young baby. In my 2 years, I got on this journey already. But how do I get my 8, and 9 years old to take the journey also without running them krazy. Because when our blood sugar goes low, we can not handle our anxiety attack and panic attacks when something we don't understand well. So this is not good at school and I'm not one to put my children on medication when I know they're just hungry and need something to Re-Boost their energy. I have them eat breakfast before they leave home. Then they eat breakfast again at school. Now I talk with the teacher so they are allowed to eat a snack at 9:30, but I have one child that refused to eat snacks. Then they eat lunch around 11:30. So what are some good healthy snacks other than apples and basic fruity, what else can I give them? Because they are so picky that my fruit would just be sitting here and be days before they decide to eat it. Please, I'm open to any ideas to make my whole family Vegan save our brains!!!!!! Thanks again for all you do! I Love your channel just join. I have to find time to catch up on all your information.
I have started watching your videos. You all look so happy, healthy and radiant. I still eat meat, well only chicken from time to time but want to eat more and more vegan food. I think it will be a slow transition. Growing up in Poland it was hard to find delicious recipes because it is such a meat-eating country. However, your recipes look simple but yummy. That's what I want. Thank you for inspiring people
Hey guys, slowly making the move to a plant based diet. Do you guys have these recipes written down anywhere (blog/insta)? I have a “screenshot folder” and would love to put these recipes in there. Thanks and love the content!
I buy huge bags of organic kale, the super greens blend and spinach at Costco and put them right in the freezer when I get home, then use them in smoothies!
Thanks RU-vid for recommending your channel! You both are looking so healthy and sporty together! And food! Incredibly easy and high protein! Thanks! ✨🙏🏼✨
Hi erin and dusty I would love if you could do a snacks and any other meals that is budget friendly, baby and teen friendly. I love your meal ideas but I would love some help I want to raise my baby boy vegan and help my teen daughters transition
This was just awesome! Shout out to baby Max for his sound off in the video. People who are trying to go vegan and need a little inspiration due to budget this is great. I am not vegan but I love recipes and inspiration and of course my veggies! Keep rocking on!
just a little tip: leave your oats in water overnight, this helps to neutralize the phytic acid in them, making it easier to digest. in the morning just turn the heat on!
I just eat overnight soaked oats lol i put it in a mason jar and add coconut milk and whatever flavorings, like the fruit, and put it in my fridge overnight. Then in the moring i just pop it open, stir, and eat
Awesome video, great food which I'm definitely going to try ... love how the little one pass the wind while mama was explaining the ingredients 🙈😍 ... just quick question guys what's the song in your video?
I was just thinking the same thing 😍 I'm a breastfeeding momma and have two other boys (so no white 🤣) but I still want to look decent and comfy and need advice on a good support bra lol.
Thankful to know that canned /frozen veggies are good to use , I really love your video!! Been on a plantbased-deit for 2 months now and it really feels good. Thank you for sharign this!! Love and God bless you guys!!
Could you let me know how many servings from the quantity you are using for these meals? How much cooked rice for your lunch and is the 1 cup dry oatmeal for one? Thanks so much!
I really appreciate the premise of this video. I live in Cambodia and between the heat, unreliable electricity and difficulty finding niche items vegan eating seemed so difficult... These recipes are great! Thank you
Love this channel, which I basically "stumbled on" today. and you showing us how to eat vegan-style on a budget. You are a good advert for your cooking as you looks so healthy and slim.. Great to know that frozen and tinned food is encourage, as it cuts down on expense and wastage. Will definitely trying out your recipes and looking fwd to more. Lots of love xxx
Everything looks great, would have loved some type of dressing for the salad bowl..although I would be okay with just like juice, I am sure many of my friends and family would prefer a dressing.
I eat the trader joes gluten free oats every day with banana and raspberries! What are your thoughts on this not being proper food combining with adding the fruit to the carbs? Also why is some of the oats at trader joes gluten free and some not? thanks
Snack video for sure! And quick meals or your go to meal in a hurry. And a dinner for family that don't eat plant based. I need to win them over my way. #plantbased
I love adding frozen spinach to my curries for extra greens and a low-calorie option. Sometimes I make the cooked spinach with some coconut milk, garlic, and spices as a side dish.
Love this video! You guys are such a positive couple and I love that you also are keeping it real with your sweet baby :) Would love to see a video on snacks as well :)
Oh wow :-) what an inspiration. Thank you so much 💕. I have the feeling these will be my recipes for this upcoming week. I really like your baby sidetracks ;-) I think having a pet while having a baby is the perfect fit :-) a great first animal bonding opportunity for your toddler ;-)
I'm new to the vegan world. I changed for health reasons about a year 3 months. I'm a bus driver and I don't know what kind of snacks to get or make to hold me over till I get hm at 6:30 at night please help me.
Definitely opt for bringing lots of “fast fruit” with you for starters! You can’t go wrong with apples, bananas, oranges, berries, etc! Blending a smoothie in a canteen can be great for energy. Veggies with hummus, a veggie wrap, prepped quinoa salad, things like that! We will have to make a video for this!
You look amazing! No dark circles under your eyes! Where’s your postpartum belly? How is it so flat again already??? Amazing. You’re like a magical supermodel unicorn my friend. Good for you! Baby is adorable :)
I cant have nuts or advocados is there another way to get my healthy fats in, i cant have alot of ingredients shown i got ibs and food intolerances doesnt help
New sub Thank u I have mold toxicity and need to go vegan . U guys inspire me and the food looks delicious , can’t wait to try I’ll have to do my oatmeal gluten free , Thank u both !
Oh guys: such a charming clip, letting us into your blossoming family with directions for those who'd likely be going off to college soon, etc., it shows an emporers'-like assumption of responsibility for others (even if the initial inspiration was the visit to Costa Rica - intensely fun and gorgeous place, yeah? ... I travelled to an organic farm of mangos and guayavas in Alahjuela, Costa Rica while doing some scientific field studies for an organization based there, and wound up visiting nearly all of the state nature reserves from coast to coast) which is truly a sweet gesture by y'all. It's a brilliant thing, to see young parents and a community blossoming from a vegan perspective ... the birth of cool, really. Cheers.
I did! I’m glad you left it in! I just found your RU-vid channel a few weeks ago. I am really enjoying everything you guys put out! And the filming is really good! Keep up the great work! I’m prego with my third baby right now. Due in June! I’ve been wanting to transition to a vegan lifestyle. So everything you guys have said is super helpful! So thank you!!
I love your videos! That baby,OMG is the cutest thing ever!!! We are not vegan, but we limit our meat , by eating 80% veggies and fruits, with very few grains (which I sprout them myself and even make fresh flour out of them to use for pita bread). My kids fight over salads and raw veggies like broccoli, peppers, celery, carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers and so on!!They eat lettuce, kale, spinach, dill, parsley out of my friend's garden. They also enjoy soups and stews. Also,I agree about frozen veggies and fruits. Many times I buy organic fruits from Costco and dehydrate them.My kids will call these dry fruits chips,as they are the only chips they eat. I will definitely continue watching your videos!!!
