As always your skill in hand tools shines through. Love your new foot powered saw. You don't need an exercise bike, just keep building and sawing. I watch these videos to see how a master handles the tools and learn from you. Merry Christmas and enjoy your time with your family.

MERRY CHRISTMAS,, cool project, dont know how ai woud use it,, the tools were what ai,m intrested in, the treadle saw, drill an the rest,, ai jist subbed yer ww2 channel,,yup ol tools git what heart ai have left pumpin/jumpin thank ya fer the video

Wood By Wright There are some "virtual windows" that people do as well. A couple of monitors framed into a wall to look like regular windows. Then you change the scenery to suit yourself. Some of them use, last I looked I think, old nintendo wii controllers so that the view actually shifts around depending on where you're looking at it from. So you get a 3D feel. Be at the golden gate one day, overlooking the pyramids the next, maybe have a raging snowstorm after that.

@@roscocsa And if no place suits you, you can create an entirely 3D CGI scene of anything you wish. It can be something based on a dream you had last night, or a scene from your favorite video game, an ocean on Planet Double Dare, you name it!

I need some help... I’ve been ripping out my hair and not board cuts. Im new to wood working by hand and shopping for my first jack plane. What model should i buy? Is there any good and worthy ones at a price thats not crazy? Or do i have to spend $150-300? Ive researched for days and cant get a solid dang answer....

if you want new there is nothing under $150 that is worth it. that is why most people buy antique and restore it. but you can buy anteque restored for around $50-$70 depending on what you want.

Wood By Wright- i know its a difficult question to answer but if you could only own one plane and buying new at $150 or less what would it be? Any opinions on the bench dog #4?

@@TyTy-fq3mh bench dog is a decent plane. Not the best on the market but well worth the money and will treat you well. As to the one I would suggest. The most versatile plane especially for someone who is starting out in hand tools is the new Stanley sweetheart low angle jack plane. With that one you could do pretty much anything other than figured or switching grain. It will cause you a bit of issue there but it's long enough you can use it to joint and sure enough you can use it to smooth. Plus it's much easier to learn a low angle plane than it is to learn a bevel down high angle plane.

Wood By Wright- im a musician and plan to be making instruments by hand using as much reclaimed wood as possible. Would it do well with various types of standard and exotic hardwoods? Im familiar with power tools but am in the process of gathering everything i need to build (with hand tools) a marimba styled instrument with as many types of wood from around the world as possible. Im having a harder time with acquiring the hand tools than i am with getting the woods haha.
