Thanks for reaching out and commenting. If you will just be removing a section of floor then I would encourage you to match the section you are replacing with the old section so that there is no step down or step up transition. Keep in mind that some particleboard flooring can puff up. If it was a half an inch may be it is three quarters of an inch. With this puffed up insulation you likely want to replace this as well. Again, match it to the existing floor height. However if you're replacing the entire subfloor then you should be just fine with three-quarter inch plywood. That is sturdy for most folks. You could likely get away with half inch however three-quarter inches better if you can afford it. Hope this helps and points you in the right direction. Any follow-up questions never hesitate to reach out anytime.
thanks John great job you're doing, i see mobile home ready to be sold here in NC but most times seller wants you to move it off of their land, moving cost is extremely expensive and most times MHP aren't ready to fund the cost so i lose that deal, what other idea would you suggest?
Thank you for reaching out and connecting. You bring up a very good point that there are a number of mobile homes around the country where the sellers want the homes moved off of their land or out of the mobile home park. Because you are moving these homes you can move them one hour, two hour, or even three hours away. This is not ideal however if you find a mobile home park two hours away that will pay for the move of an older home like this then by all means it may make sense to work with the owner and fill up their community. You can then sell these homes or rent them on payments lightly with the help of the park owner or manager seeing as it is a few hours away from where you are. You may also be able to wholesale these mobile homes to local parks or local dealers in the area depending on the age of the homes. You may want to also try wholesaling them to end-users that will be moving the homes onto their land locally or not so locally. There are a few other strategies with these homes however I do hope that this point you in the right direction and helps some. As always, feel free to keep in touch moving forward. All the best. Talk soon, John
