I've resisted commenting so far but my life I am insanely jealous, fell in love with these watching Bosch on Amazon Prime. I'm not even an American car fan but love big simple cars like this which now seem to disappearing to be replaced by SUV's and odd looking EV's. By the way I had a 145 1.8 TS back in the day, absolute hoot to drive, love the W123 and quite fancy a 200.

I’m from CA and have driven many and owned many panthers over the past 25 years. It’s awesome to see someone across the pond enjoying these cars as much as I do! They are indeed getting harder and harder to find in any decent condition like yours. The hubcaps you have on yours has always been my favorite kind on the Crown Vics.

Great job, Matt. That colour is perfect on the car, but very rarely seen. It certainly did shine up well. The newest Panther platform car I have had was my 92 Crown Victoria LX. A word of advice. Check the grommet at the throttle linkage where the cable to the transmission is. If it is rubber, get the brass grommet. The black ones have a habit of failing and if the cable comes disconnected, you will be doing a transmission rebuild in short order. My first Panther was the pride of the lot. It was a one of one, custom ordered by me with the factory 351 Windsor V8. That is 5.8 litres to you. It also had the factory Trailer Tow III Package, so was rated for a full 6,000 pounds of trailer. It was the only one with those two options painted Dark Cranberry Metallic Clear. What made it spectacular was the 40 miles to the Imperial Gallon the car got on a motorway run. It would do over 600 miles on a fill. The engine had so much torque that carrying load did not affect the fuel consumption much in the least. I do miss that car.

Remember buying two second hand cars from the car shop and having the interior and exterior treated with Diamond Brite, that was good stuff, certainly protected the seats from stains.

Probably the most pampering it's had since it was first delivered. Wonderful to see and big love for the CVPI, the green is such a superb colour! It's even got my favourite wheel trims on, I'd be so tempted to put the civilian Chrome grille on it though. So envious, can't wait to see more. 💚

That was almost as much fun for me as it was for you. I have the same tiny rust hole above the front wheel wells on my 2003 Grand Marquis. All of the detective's cars come with the full wheel covers like yours but I think the dog dishes look especially menacing. Now you need to put aerials in the two sockets. Nice car...I'm happy for you.

Ace video! Dark metallic paints can look a bit dull on old cars but buffed up like this they look glorious! It's such a beautiful car now, and even the chrome hubcaps are growing on me. The dog dishes might be more appropriate for a Police Interceptor, but it sure looks classy with these too! Thank you very much for the best content of this saturday evening! :)

Quick tip: use washing up gloves when cleaning the wheels to protect your skin from brakes dust; in fact use them in autumn and winter when washing the car by hand

I'd wager that your P71 had it's first ever hand washing. I work for a US state government agency. Our vehicle get a wash every few years, and then only if they are covered in road grim.

Fantastic to see someone talking a bit of pride in a car and what a beautiful car and an excellent transformation a good clean and a bit of TLC makes all the difference. Just 1 last thing when you clean the headlights like that I think you have to uv protect them again not absolutely sure so don't take my word on it, GREAT VIDEO ONCE AGAIN THANKS

Nice work, impressed by your attention to detail and this is a good advert for Diamondbrite (hope they topped up your piggy bank accordingly!). I must admit I find the range of products out there confusing at times, but this clears it up a bit. Could do with some of that trim restoring stuff for the bumpers on my Polo. I can only hope Santa is listening! Good to see you in your happy place.

A great video on a car I've always hated seeing in my rear-view mirror. Here in Michigan, a front license plate holder is an option that you have to pay extra for because we don't have front plates. That Ohio plate is a nice touch.

Do you watch the RU-vid channel “worthless whips” they brought a old 2001 crown Victoria police car unmarked. And even though their no longer used by the police, as they were driving the car back to the workshop, nearly every driver was slowing down thinking it was some unmarked, uncover police car😂

Great video! I can appreciate your love for the dog dishes but I think the current hubcaps fit better with the green metallic paint. Dog dishes are better on the white cruisers with the blues and twos

The P71 Crown Victoria I have was really dirty and smelled bad. It took me about three hours to remove the seats, sanitize them, clean them then scrub out all the nasty stuff from the floor. Then over two weeks I installed seat covers and a new sound system. Other than that it's done. It's a hell of a commuter that should last a while.

I love my p71's, definitely get some 17 inch steelies with the stainless center's. This girl was certainly a supervisors car. She needs that zip tie rear bumper tuck as well. Truly an awesome car but you already know this.

I had one as a rental once. Expecting a huge boat that would be a challenge to drive. While it's huge, you could see all four counters of the car, making it easy to drive. Smooth and quiet. I understand why they have a fan base., I have an idea for those four holes on the dash near the radio, Get some black or chrome trim screws and it will look like it's holding the dash on.

For car interior surfaces I've always used standard kitchen surface cleaning spray. Lifts all the gunk and leaves a nice lemon/apple aroma 👍

It looks really beautiful and so cool. You couldn't really see the colour before with all the haze on it, now I see that it is really nice. When the sun hits it, it will look even better. I used to own a 1966 XR Ford Falcon (Australian) and now have a hankering to own another big car 😄.

That really is a huge car but your efforts have made a huge difference, it looks thoroughly rejuvenated. Really get the scale of this thing from the aerial shot. I like that colour, reminds me of Ascot green on BMW e34s. Looking forward to test drive of this old girl on the open highway, maybe Route 66 roger, oao, ha, ha!

good work on that! looks great. Only suggestion is, use a bit less product when cutting, there's no need really and its easier to wipe it off and as long as pad is prepped you're good! :) colour will pop in the sun.

If you are going to change the steering wheel go with 1 that has the speed control buttons. At that point go to a steelership and have them enable on speed control in the computer. In the late great USA we call it cruise control. Steve

Regarding the big buttons, it’s important to remember all the varied climates in the US from tropical Florida to frigid Alaska. So the buttons in a commercial fleet vehicle like this (and trucks too) are designed to be able to be operated while wearing thick winter gloves. Or heavy work gloves.

Great job. One thing a Miracle Sponge clay bar is so much better than original clay bar putty, it's like washing your car with a small sponge (1ft x 2ft areas using lubricant like your wash n wax or waterless wash) about 10 times as fast and results are even better, a win win 🏆
