I wore an ivory dinner jacket with shawl collar. Navy trousers with a side strip of fabric. Pink bow tie. White gloves as a pocket square. Black capntoe oxfords.

White tie is also very appropriate for a wedding if you want it formal and the wedding is during the afternoon/evening as just like black tie it’s evening wear.

You still get the white tie dresscode for some Scandinavian weddings, even during daytime. Morning dress never got popular here so white tie is still quite common but declining in popularity in favour of black tie.

That's interesting to see how they use traditional dress codes but wiggle around what time of day to wear such an outfit. I used to not suggest tuxedos for day weddings, but realized it's not such a bad thing and can look very elegant and make great everlasting memories and pictures.

@@rolle820 Ja det är tråkigt att det ska va så. Smoking kan man ju ha en vanlig fest liksom. Själv har jag tänkt att köra jackett under vigseln och frack på middag/festen. Eventuellt folkdräkt till frukosten efter eller om man kör lunch dagen innan :)
