I have thought about "branding" but never really connected to anything. This really helped. Thank you very much! Just thought I would share what I came up with as I watched your video. I am a former special education teacher. I am passionate about helping children. Many of my new students come to me because one of my tags is patience. I will post more about how I work with reluctant, hyper, or scared students. My other big passion is culture. I love world cultures. I can share my knowledge and gain more knowledge from other teachers. Thank you very much!
Great tips! I love country music, teaching, and as the mom of three grown sons and one grandson, love super heroes as well! I'm into Marvel, and have a picture of one son's art work on my wall!
I'm sorry. This is great info for social media in general, but how do we use these to get more students? That's what I was expecting when I clicked on this video. Can you please make another video for how to use these tips, (or new tips) for that? Thank you!
Austin a.nd Rika - Thank you for the awesome reminders and great presentation format. I love how you are able to energize any topic and bring out the passion in others.
Rika!!! I found you on Facebook after we hung out at the after party bar at Journey Las Vegas but you never use it!!!! D: I'm going to be in Cali soon lady, how can I reconnect?!
Thank you for this awesome video! I'm taking tip #2 and making it my mission to like and leave POSITIVE comments to at least 5 FB posts. Spreading positivity, happiness, and fellowship among VIPKid teachers as much as I can.
Recognition breeds confidence. Again, recognition breeds confidence. Find out who you are. Nurture and grow your talents. Do not look for a generic quick way to get by. That is the root to being a nobody in a sea of nobodies. Be recognized and you will get booked. Find who you are and what your values are to the public. Present them routinely. Develop visual associations to who you are. Recognition breeds confidence. Visual associations must be done through the use of routine. Let your public image be as consistent as possible. The easiest way to do this is to be real, work on perfecting your talents, and creating visual associations your public can use to identify you. Enjoy, or you will burn out.
Howdy!!! Yay from Texas!!! Great points. I really need to improve my consistency! I like the idea of setting reminders for certain days. Thank you so much for this!
Thanks VIPKid for the awesome videos! Your hard work in making/editing them is SO worth it! I am subscribed to/following your RU-vid, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and all other pages and social media outlets. I look forward to your LIVE casts every week on Instagram and Facebook. Thank you to the team for being so awesome!
I love the analogy of a party. As more and more interactions shift online, it becomes an increasingly important way to build relationships. Oh, and I love your video editing skills, Rika! #goals
Great tips. Keeping up with your community takes time, but you have some good short cuts. I noticed sometimes passion causes conflict on some of the FB communities though. :) I'm definitely passionate about teaching!
Great video! When the notification came about the new video something told me to watch it now and not wait. I've been thinking about sharing my story and what brought me to VIPKid! I wonder if people would be interested in my journey and how VIPKid has help bring me back to life? Thanks Austin and Rika for giving me some things to think about! #vipkidjourneyDC
Thank you for all you do! I love the shout out to Marvel ,.. but who has your heart and why? (I'm team Iron Man because I'm a tech nerd and love to control my lights and home with spoken commands, and freak my kids out a bit when i use my automated lights for "on/off" "bright/dim" etc.. LOL
