I was introduced to fenugreek 15 years ago after I gave birth to my daughter. My OBGYN had me take fenugreek pills to help produce more breast milk. I noticed while I was taking the pills my hair grew like crazy. I wasn’t a natural then but now that I am natural, I use fenugreek in everything. I absolutely love it.
Yes! So many people recommended it to me when breastfeeding. That’s all I have ever seen it used for but I will be giving it a try because I just shaved off all my hair and I miss it 😂
I actually did a trial : I would spray fenugreek water on my hair and massaged my scalp. I did this about 4 times a week. I saw growth that month , I beleive about 2 inches! I kid you not.
I can attest that fenugreek has been doing amazing as a hair strengthening and growth product for me. I make a mask out of it using aloe vera, ground fenugreek powder, and honey. I blend this and apply under a plastic cap that I tie down under a towel and leave on for 30 minutes to an hour. Then I rinse out and condition my hair. It stopped my hair breakage from the root, and softened my hair while elongating my curl pattern. My hair has been growing like crazy because it stopped all my breakage/shedding. Great video.
Don't throw away those seeds after you make the rinse. You can blend them with hot water and make a mask that way, as well. In addition, you can freeze the mask in a mason jar, for future use. I do it all the time.
I switched to fully ayurvedic in hair care back in March. Fenugreek is one of my fav seeds. I use fenugreek water as a refresher, the seeds as a hair mask, use the fenugreek water as the base for my diy shampoo, cream and or oil. I haven't thought about going back to using commercial hair products.
I absolutely LOVE fenugreek! It’s my favorite Ayurvedic herb! I make a hair spritz with the seeds, I make tea to drink and add ginger, I soak the seeds overnight and drink the fenugreek water, and I make fenugreek hair butter with Shea butter! Total game changer!!! My hair is growing like crazy and getting thicker! The texture of my hair has changed for the better!!!😊😊😊
2/3 tablespoons in hot water, let steep overnight or even just an hour or two. Drink the resulting "tea" add some warm water if you don't like It cold. I have it daily. Grind the soaked seeds into your smoothie, don't throw them away, they have many health benefits, not just for hair. Instead of a rinse or in addition too that, mix the fenugreek water with aloe juice and use it as a moisturising spray.
I use fenugreek powder, moringa powder, aloe Vera pulp from the leaf, red onion ,ginger I use a capful of water blend it then use as a mask. I can definitely feel the difference to my scalp. I went from having good strong shoulder length hair to being diagnosed with frontal fibrosing alopecia, my hair fell out in clumps, patches baldness . I cried. I then started using a combination of natural oils... washing my hair wth sulphate free products of a particular brand here in the UK. I came across your channel. absolutely brilliant. you have transformed the way I care for my hair I had a biopsy and I was told that there was no inflammation and that he could see 2 follicles growing rather than 1. My scalp is in good condition. I heard that the fenugreek and moringa were good for shreading although there is some it is nothing compared to what my hair was b4 I was praising God. keep them videos coming. I really believe my hair will come back stronger and better
I started making and using fenugreek oil to treat a bald spot at the crown of my scalp a year ago. It completely reversed whatever was going on and my hair grew back in, no one can tell there was ever an issue. I still use fenugreek oil from time to time when my hair feels weak and seems like it needs a protein boost. Fenugreek is one of my, hands down, favorite hair care ingredients now.
If I had to choose one herb from Ayurveda system it would be Fenugreek. I wore my head wrapped for about 6 weeks, laying my edges and they packed up and left.😩 I used the Fenugreek diy spray & the oil , in no time my edges were back😊 It's definitely been a game changer in my hair regimen.. I tried it because of Curly Proverbs Channel!!!!
I love the fact that you're educating us prior to giving us the reason for using the product. My hair is thinning and falling out. My mom told me to use rosemary, olive oil, and black seed together but didn't give me the reason 😒. I thank you for your video.
Fenugreek is my baby! There is ALWAYS some part of my weekly regimen or wash day routine that incorporates fenugreek. My favorite is making a paste and incorporating into my prepoo routine. And the SLIP! Amazing!
Same! Love the stuff! I made a Fenugreek, honey, and glycerin pre-poo. It helped me detangle and conditioned. Robin felt great. Then life got just kept happening and she was neglected for ❗❗❗ months. She still grew, had minimal shedding, was barely dryed out, and was in fairly good shape after being in a wash n go turned twists for so long. I really attribute it to the Fenugreek prepoo. Things have settled down and I back to taking care of her and the results are still astounding.
Yaaas!! Thank you!! Another use for fenugreek. I have used this powder in "not-for- my-hair" conditioners to create the slip that's missing, but this video right here...changed the game for me!❤
I appreciate the knowledge God has opened your eyes to through studying. As we see your hair is flourishing. Your seeds of knowledge are taking root and growing. Pun intended 😃. By the way, your shirts are "Life" to me. If you don't mind, please share were you get them.
Thank you for telling us the constituents and showing their molecular structures that make fenugreek beneficial for hair. This is why I love your channel. You also explain things well and keep on point.
I love this series! So much helpful new info. I've used fenugreek for a few years, in different ways. I love it even more now 🙂. I would love to hear you perspective on Amla, Brahmi, bhringraj. Thanks so much for great content ☺️
Fenugreek has been my favorite herb for 2+ yrs now. I make an oil & a paste. I have also used it in my deep conditioners & masques. It has really helped my hair grow. So glad you have done a video on it.
Luv, luv Fenugreek. I have used it in all the methods described. You have inspired me to make a Fenugreek and hibiscus tea rinse on my next wash day, tomorrow 😊
I have done a hair mask with fenugreek and flaxseed. I socked it over night and in the morning just put in the blender. I added one table spoon of my hat mask. It’s absolutely amazing
I recently started using frenagreek by just letting it sit in some water for 8 hours or more and I love it! It has helped so much with getting my hair to grow back after having moisture overload & extreme product build up. I love the idea of making a mask out of just fenugreek seeds and water! Thank you!
I use fenugreek to make my deep conditioner, I use peppermint essential oil to curb the maple syrup smell, I also use the liquid to spray on my hair when I moisturize a couple times a week. I love using it, I’ve noticed a difference in the shine & the length of my hair. I also make a butter with fenugreek for my scalp.
All my infused oils have fenugreek seeds and it has been very helpful coming back from pre menopausal shed and breakage. I put the powder in with several masks that I mix up and that is a great booster. I make sure to use other herbs that are great for moisture to keep a good balance. Fenugreek is a strengthener so you need to keep a balance as to not over do it.. I have manage to do that and it’s not fun LOL
I love Fenugreek. I infuse it in oil, use it as a mask and use it in food. I love how it makes my hair feel. I also used the mask as a styler last week🤣
I can't wait to try fenugreek in a DIY hair mask! I've never used it before but I'm so excited to try it just for hair health though because my hair already grows super fast.
Funny, I made a fenugreek cassia ayurvedic hair mask a few days ago using the powder. I mixed each herb separately and then combined the two. As hard as I tried, the fenugreek powder was clumpy, which I didn't really like. It had a very strong odor too. Next time I'll use an essential oil. Thank you for everything you do. I Love your channel ❤
@@qwaxerty I mix 1.5 Tsp of fenugreek powder , 1 leaf of aloe vera , 1 cup distilled water 4 Tsp of oil your choice , 4Tsp of vegetable glycerin, blend together, strain add essential oil of your choice. Separate 4 portions , save the other 3 porti8 in the freezer. (4 washes). Save time , Instead it doing it every week.
I have been using fenugreek in my diy oils and hair creams for awhile now and I am noticing that my strands are a lot thicker and my hair has grown about 2 inches since I became serious about growing my hair
Thank you for the video. Enjoyed it very much. I used it before as a deep conditioner made by blending overnight soaked fenugreek seeds with flax seed gel. These all looked good. I especially will try the oil. 💜
I started incorporating Fenugreek into my routine. Love the smell. Starting to see hair growth. I use the Fenugreek water and fresh aloe vera as my prepoo. Then use the oil as a sealant. Love this stuff.
I have used fenugreek as a tea and a mask. It was great as a tea. As a mask it was wonderful but after using it for straight 4 washes I noticed my hair had protein over load but I still love it.
Black cumin seeds are also great for hair growth! Fenugreek is amazing...I usually make it into a mask with coconut oil, aloe and add little conditioner.
I like using fenugreek in an oil. I’ve purchase oils from Soultanicals Bloom oil and Curly Proverbs elixir. I’ve put fenugreek seeds in castor oil and use it on my scalp. They all work for me. I will try the fenugreek tea rinse next. I love how strong it makes my hair feel, no breakage, though I’m not a fan of the smell.
Have Lupus so, I have always had problems with inflamation in body and scalp . My scalp was sore and itchy until I started using Fenugreek mixed with alma powder. After about a month or so, my scalp felt healthier and I saw more hair growth. I heated the Fenugreek seeds in olive oil and let sit for at least 24 hours before using.
I have been using fenugreek and black sesame seeds that I have cold steeped in olive oil.. ( I put the seeds in oil for a few weeks in a dark space and then use it after it has sat...) Noticed a difference in shedding/ breakage so far.
I have been using Fenugreek seeds and the powder for like a year and I love it and I do and can’t feel the difference in my hair Olivia From Detriot Love your videos been following you for 2 years
Love love love! SheRae Del Sol put me on fenugreek with her diy pre-poo and diy leave in conditioner. I ain't looked back since 😆. I also used it while nursing. It's great for milk production
I love your videos. I use ashwagandha powder in my conditioner one a week. It feels so good on my scalp. Would love to see a video on this product in natural hair care.
I've only used fenugreek as a herb, but curious to try it for hair growth. I've been curious about Jamaican black castor oil, I see that a lot for hair growth. Love your content 🙂
I've started using it as a pre-poo detangler after seeing a video and boy did that help!!!! Think I already saw a difference after washing so I'm definitely gonna try that again and I'm making a fenugreek seed and black seed oil (natural way and let the sun do the job lol). I will definitely try the spray to use in my LOC method
Drinking fenugreek water during my periods has helped me with period cramps. I ran to the water a week before my periods and I never get cramps. I have used fenugreek mask before and I loved it bt it was exhausting to wash out of my hair. I tried the powder I strain from my water on my face and it leaves my face feeling soft.
@@kenyayopp1653 i made some fenugreek tea and strained the seeds. can i blend those with water and make a mask, can i use the mask for my hair or face?
I use nature's little secret fenugreek prepoo detangler on top of coconut oil. It's amazing at detangling, and adding moisture to the hair before washing. I've seen thickness in my hair and edges are growing back 👏👏
Yes fenugreek seeds yeah I've been using DIY with the seeds. For a month and a half around about. My hair has gotten stronger and thicker 💆🏾♀️ THANK YOU for the DIY no fenugreek oil. YOUR EBOOK I LIKE👍🏾 IT'S HELPING ME LEARN ABOUT INGREDIENTS. IN HAIR PRODUCTS & WHAT'S THE RIGHT THING FOR MY HAIR.
I tried fenugreek, but I couldn't deal with the smell, but yet again you've managed to convince me to try it again. I have tried Amla and loved it, my hair was just so soft after using it, I don't remember exactly what benefits it has, but I did like that my hair felt so manageable after.
I always learn sooo much watching your videos. I’ve been binge watching them the last few weeks. I get out my pen and paper and take notes. 😂 I would love to see one on the best way to take care of your scalp when you have braids with extensions or crochet hair in. Keep up the good work!!
@@CurlyChemistry awesome!! So glad I found your channel. I’m not a chemist but I’m an accountant so 1+1 always has to equal 2. Your videos give me that - the “why” something will or not work - not just opinions. My sister was a chemist for 30 years so can also relate.
I have wavy-to-curly mid-back length hair. I had a copper IUD a few years ago which wreaked havoc on my health and on my hair. I've been rehabilitating it with leave-in fenugreek water/gel, which I also DIY. I mix it with rosemary water and a splash of natural apple cider vinegar. It does not spoil if you use approx. 1 part ACV and 5 parts fenugreek water. I let the seeds soak for a few days (make sure there's some vinegar in the soak, so it doesn't sour) and once they're large and soft, I force the gel through a wire strainer and collect it to add to my infusion. I use (about one ounce poured onto my scalp, 2-3x per shower) it in place of shampoo and conditioner, and I also put it into a spray bottle and spray generously into my hair once damp, but still wet and clean. It's kind of labor intensive but my hair is so much nicer.
I use it all the time. It has grown my daughters hair and my hair. I have to say I wasn’t a believer until I straighten my daughters hair. I love it. Fenugreek and moringa powder.
I have been using aloe vera for like a yr and a half . I now started onion juice with rosemary and ginger with vitamin e oil and jojoba oil...and I put microbraids in a week ago and I'm already experiencing new growth
I would love to learn more about using Castor Oil for hair growth and any DIYs that work well with castor. Thanks for your videos! I am Caucasian but my hair is wavy and low porosity and I've learned so much from your channel that has helped my hair!
I just purchased a scalp/hair oil from the Ayurveda Experience. It contains fenugreek, hibiscus , brahmi, bitter cucumber and more. I just received it yesterday and haven’t tried it yet but now I’m really excited to see what it does for my hair
I have never used fenugreek seeds or ,powder before but I certainly do want to try it now and us your recommandations. I'm glad I saw your video...been watching you for a while too. Thank you so much! You are right, there is so much out there but I feel comfortable listening your information verses what I have heard on other channels.👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I make a infused oil with fenugreek also a tea spritz for me and my daughter our hair loves it also use the liquid as it gets kind of a gel and use it as a detangler with honey and olive oil ❤❤❣❣❣
I am currently using fenugreek. I mix the powder in my coffee and drink the tea after soaking seeds in water. I would like you to have a discussion on MSM, Amla and hibiscus flower.
I use fenugreek to make my curry. I don’t recall if I’ve ever used it in my hair. This is interesting and I’ll definitely try it, especially since it’s already in my kitchen.
