Awesome video! Throwing this out as reference: The "fat" ones are sometimes/usually female which have more seeds; however, you can more accurately tell from the dimple on the bottom of the aubergine: round dimple = male, and slit-shaped dimple = female. Hope this helps!
Your mom is so pretty, your grandmom is a total boss and your dad is good at eating. So excited for this month's recipes! When your mom measured the eggplant with her arm I was so amused haha. She's a really good teacher! Can see where you get it from
Oh wow your mom is so pretty! 😍 This video was such a great idea and I loved that it was in Korean with subtitles. I would’ve never thought of the difference of small and big eggplants with the seeds. Your family is seriously so adorable I want to hug them all! 😂
wow! such easy, healthy and delicious banchans :) it's so nice to see the three generations cooking together! i love how your mom measured the forearm length eggplant at the beginning just like the obligatory forearm length spring onion ;) looking forward to more cooking videos with your beautiful mom and grandma from the beautiful kitchen!
What a great family! You are right to get those recipes while you can! I’m American, and my mom who passed many years ago used to make some things I can’t duplicate no matter how hard I’ve tried. Get those memories while you can!😘
Mary Jo Cole I am sad also that no matter how hard I try I cannot replicate my dad's recipes! Breaks my heart that I was a rebellious teen and young adult who didn't care about how the food was made but as long as I ate it was good! I moved to the Mainland from Hawaii away from my parents and my Mother in Law taught me most of my cooking but I pretty much do my own thing now and watch RU-vid to come up with different meals. 😢😢😢
When my mom became blind I was the one to take over holiday cooking. Two years in a row the stuffing just wasn't right. That's when I realized Mom was holding out on me! I said to her, alright Mom, you aren't telling me everything going into the stuffing. You can either tell me what's missing or make your own stuffing next year. She told me her secret ingredient, and the holiday meals went back to normal 😂
Gale Coffey God Bless her! I am very sorry this has happened for her! Just tell her now she can relax and enjoy while you so all the work! I know how much work goes into holiday cooling!
Dan-yul! All your ladies are so beautiful! 😍❤️ I always love when you talk about your mom, dishes she cooked when you were a kid. And now that I’ve seen her, I can picture it all! And your dad’s so cool! Now I see where you got that dazzling personality from! Thank you for this precious video! 😇
Beautiful!! I love your family. Everyone is so beautiful: your mom, your dad, and your grandma! Daniel please do more videos with them. It would be great if you could visit your grandma in the country side more often and have her show us her culinary wisdom. Do it while you still can!! God bless you and your family. Thank you!
Hi Mom and Grandma! You have so much fun together, I feel the love! Right back at you! Thanks for making my day. That dark colour in the residual juice is where the bitterness goes.
Gaaaaaahhhh! Mom, Dad and Grandma! 3 generations in the kitchen....reminds me of cooking with my mom and son. I'm so excited to see what you will be cooking with them! 😘
Really enjoyed this episode!!! You have a very nice family and your grandmother is just SOOOOOOOO funny and adorable!! Would love to see more of her in your episodes! Your mother taught you well...not many Korean husbands can cook like you. Mine not only does not cook Korean food, he doesn't even like most authentic Korean dishes even though he is Korean. I miss the Korean dishes my grandmother used to make for me growing up. Wish I learned from my grandmother and mother. Your future wife will be a lucky lady:)
Haha thank you for the thoughtful comment! Yes, its been a while since I've been home. Cooking was the perfect activity to re-connect with my mom and grandma! Happy you enjoyed it :)
Ooohhh you ae from California 😊 I always wonder how come you don’t have Korean accent but sound like American . This is why ...you are so lucky , great mom and grandma you have
Love all the recipes you have posted, especially the cucumber salad. It becomes the favorite dish of my family & my daughters family. Love your grandma, she is so cute and your mother is so pretty!
I love it when grandmas are included in these types of videos. They hold the secrets passed down from generations before. Guess I have to hit my mom up for some of her recipes that I remember her making as a child. Thank you for this video! I couldn't stop smiling!!!!
I am so looking forward to your umma and eomeoni next recipes. This is such a great idea!! I love how casual your dad is and let them know what a great job they did in their kitchen upgrade! Love the countertops very chic!! Keep ‘em coming!!! I followed you back in the beginning and very happy for all your success! Annyoung from Pasadena!!!!!
I had tried a recipe for the eggplant muchim, but I didn't like it. Now I know why. I didn't sqeeze it. Thank your Mom for that tip. Your grandmother is a chopping powerhouse, so skillful. Did she bring your mom kimchi? I really appreciate all these veggie dishes. I can see your Dad does too.
This has to be my favorite episode so far! Everything looked so amazing and your mom and grandma are so lovely!! Also your Dad is me, filming the food haha
Your Mum looks so young (and very pretty I might add)! Your grandma is adorable and your dad is quite fit! Great family Daniel and thanks for introducing them to us. :)
I love that measurement: "1 Dining spoon" 😆😄👌🏼 that's exactly how my late Grandmother & older relatives from the Marshall Islands would say as well. When my Grandmother first put me in the kitchen to learn how to cook, she had me using a dining spoon 🤗
Just found your channel last week and I’ve been binge watching your videos ever since. Really diggin’ the recipes & your witty sense of humor. Keep it up my man. With that said, this video was one of the best ones yet. It’s obvious that you have a very loving & happy family. Thanks for sharing!
I love your videos. Great format and good vibes. I'm from L.A. and lived in Busan for a few years. Hope you guys have lots us success with your channel.
You have a beautiful family...thanks for sharing your gift in cooking healthy food, hubby is korean & I'm filipino and ur channel is a big help on me what food to prepare for husband❤ God bless
Your halmoni is a quiet one, mine is the lively kind... but when you watch them chopping veggies and taste the banchan they all give off the same vibe of a cozy, loving home
Hello to the family :) this has been a fave episode because it's so special to see! Thank u for sharing your family & recipes as not all of us are lucky enough to have halmoni or recipes/tradition. Please pass our regards :)
I absolutely love the broccoli banchan! I tripled the recipe and it turned out great. I can’t wait to try the others next! I plan to eat this with breakfast and dinners, throughout my work week. But I’m not sure it will make it that far it’s so good. 😂 your whole family is so adorable. Thanks for the recipes.
Daniel! thanks so much for these videos + written recipes. My husband and I made 3 of your recipes last night and almost died from overeating. Looking forward to more veggie vids :)
Omg!!! Three generations cooking and including your father. Very beautiful family. Your mom with the knife, lol !!! She's a ninja in the kitchen. Can't wait for more ! Thank you for sharing Daniel.
This reminded me of cooking with my grandmother. I tried to learn from her and my dad did too. She's been gone for eleven years now, she was the best cook ever!
