Different reciters can have different expressions of the same maqam. Shaykh Al-Minshawi, Shaykh Al-Husary, and Shaykh Mustafa Ismail all recite using maqam Nahawand but their expressions are different and are famous worldwide.
Watch as I demonstrate how to recite with each of their expressions of maqam Nahawand.

Mashallah you came close enough to the notes and melodies that one can recognize whom you are trying to imitate. But it is more obvious that your voice that Allah has gifted you and even more your love and attachment to the sounds of the Quran that He has gifted you are begging for you to develop your own natural maqam. That will add soul to your recitation. These imitations are nice, but without soul. Allah bless you and increase you. P.S. - this is a compliment in its entirety

lol not sure how long I could sustain the imitation ... it might just feel forced at that point. Unless it was like surah al-kawthar 😅 ... best solution is to just listen to shaykh al-Husary

amazing how the same Maqam can have such different sounds depending on reciter/style of recitation. one of the many things i learned with Shaykh Idrees. if you’re interested in learning more about Maqamat and how to beautify your recitation you have to sign up for his Overnight Qari course, you won’t regret it! Nahawand Murasa is used in lots of Greek music and I’m trying to find info on it in English but it’s not super well documented 😢😢😢 Respect from a Greek to all Muslims, free Palestine

ameen, they're legends and the amazing thing is they had no idea that like 50 years later we'd have the internet and ppl from all over would be listening to their recitations and making dua for them. Pretty crazy when you think abt it

Recite out loud when you recite, it will help you gain control of your voice. Also, when you are not reciting, just try to move your voice from different pitches quickly. Then you can improve from there. May Allah SWT bless you and keep us all sincere. Ameen ❤

Very good Hussary and Minshawi, but you’re Mustafa was a little off and missed a few opportunities to include some of his other Nahawands. Good effort though. A little tip, try reciting holding your nose to get used to being less nasal. 🙏🏼
