Wow - my doctoral thesis revolved around the Murrays of Atholl, in particular Lord John Murray, 1st Duke of Atholl, who was the father of Lord George Murray. I could lecture for hours on the Jacobite rebellions of Scotland and Ireland in the 17th c. The Jacobite Scots weren't just fighting against the "king" they were fighting against a _foreign, protestant_ king that they did not recognize as legitimate. It's a very complicated mess and would require some time to explain why the Jacobites (Jacobus is Latin for James - in this case meaning James IV - the Young Pretender aka Bonnie Prince Charlie) were vying to take the throne away from the German Hanoverians represented by George II in 1745. Needless to say, the Jacobites were not successful as the Hanoverians still sit on the British Throne to this day but they changed their name in the 1st World War to Windsor. Thanks for the upload!

The name of the battlefield is pronounced CO Laud Din. I have been there many times. Tartan is pronounced Tar Tin for some strange reason. The British left the battlefield and roamed over the local area and shot and stabbed anyone they saw. They murdered women and children in their beds. They cut down poor farmers who didn't even know there had been a battle. After this, a flower was created in England which is called Sweet William for the Duke. To this day in Scotland, it is called Stinking Willie.

Those are good resolutions. While we are past the New Year, I like that idea of becoming healthier and losing weight. I have similar plans for myself...have to clean out the fridge first...I plan on total commitment...start eating healthy...I see too many overweight and unhealthy people around...I want to feel better. Tecumseh was an amazing individual. I'm really surprised there hasn't been tons of RU-vid coverage on him. Read the book A Sorrow In Our Hearts. It reads like fiction but it's Tecumseh's life.

As a reenactor who has slept in and around Fort Meigs several times, I never once saw ghosts. When the fort closes to the public the reenactors have access to the fort and those with authentic tents can camp in the fort and sometimes put on after dark tours/history talks.

A Mulder and Scully Renaissance spinoff would definitely be something I would watch.

I love this channel and criminally listed. However, I'm not going to lie. As an Outlander fan, I cringed at how he was pronouncing Tartan and Culloden. But I also cringe thinking about how I used to pronounce Fraser, as in Brendan Fraser as a kid. Yeah, I used to pronounce it Fraiser. I know it's not a big deal really, but I know better now. It's Jamie Fraser (Outlander main guy) not Jamie Fraiser. 😝

When I was serving in the US Army I visited the Petersburg National Battlefield in Virginia I even saw the remnants of The Crater but did not see anything paranormal.

These easily fixed name pronunciation errors are so frustrating on such an otherwise awesome channel. Please if possible start doing better research on pronunciation of words you’re not familiar with. It’d make the stories so much smoother to listen to. It’s not “Tacumsee”

The name of the Indian chief Tecumseh is pronounced Tuh-KUM-suh, not Tuh-KUM-see. And in the Edge Hill section you mixed in a portrait of Charles II when it should have been Charles I.
