Yuri, I completely agree that Beans are good for you. However, I also believe that they need to be prepared properly. Dr Gundry is a good source of information on this. I stayed away from beans until I had the capacity to cook them the right way so as to lessen the amount of Lectins I was consuming. Thanks for all that you are doing! -Alan

I was getting stones, & had persistent UTIs with frequent urination/nocturia. Used to always have a vega one smoothie/day & would switch out brands of either powdered greens or liquid greens supps. I also was on a pretty much ketogenic diet for YEARS which probably was key factor to developing kidney probs in the first place

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I'm glad it wasn't just powdered greens. I guess a balance is key. I'm glad you're doing better. Do you have some favorite greens? I really like broccoli rabe even though it is 4 times expensive than broccoli for some reason.

Alan B You're welcome. Spot on about balance; heavy reliance on supplements to acquire greens nutrition as opposed to whole food was way off balanced. Broccoli rabe is delish! Rarely get it tho cuz of price. Started growing kale in containers in home that's doing well otherwise my go to's are: spinach, dandelion, chicory, collards, red chard, beet greens, romaine & redleaf lettuce. Wrapping greens with paper towel covered with produce bags (that are flipped inside out every other day to shake off condensation) virtually avoids premature leaf rot & can keep greens fresh for up to 2wks in some cases. Clothespins work well as identifiers as to what's what with your greens all mummified. Been achieving great results with DIY microgreens/sprouting too

I do not eat greens much, but the water I drink is slightly alkaline when tested. No cancer, no diabetes or arthritic pains. Still cut 1/2 acre lawn with push mower by choice, late 60's young! Generally, I eat only once or twice daily, never breakfast.

I mix about a half a tablespoon of the red mill potatoe starch in my yogurt everyday. I learned about the potatoe starch from your video on lowering blood sugar. Thanks so much!

Where in the grocery store is potato starch? I have found corn starch but not potato starch.

Sidney Boudro I find it at Sprouts, Whole Foods and online at Amazon. Most ordinary grocery stores don't have it

Thank you this makes so much sense to me again I have really believed starches were not bad for us especially resistant starch, I also like the idea of more greens and beans. But now I like beans a lot though they give me so much gas I do soak them add baking soda when cooking them but still I am unable to escape being too gassy "How can I overcome this"? Can I cook the green bananas keep them in the fridge then eat them as a snack? This speaks a lot to the way Dr Joel Fulhman's way of eating which I like a lot "GBOMBS" Thanks again I have requested the 10 commandments of weight loss I have struggled for so long with stuborn weight due to my thyroid issues as well, yeah bread is my weakness and dairy too sadly

Hello Yuri. Can you use the potato starch in hot foods and get the same effect. Like sprinkling it on hot cooked vegetables or mixing in broth to thicken or does this lessen its effectiveness? Would really like to know. Thank you. :)

The only problem with beans is the massive amount of gases in digestive system. However, I loooovvve beans.

Yuri, With a calculation of Carbs - Fiber equating to a negative number, I'd like to know what can of beans you have there. I have a package of Lentils here with Carbs 31g and FIber at 17g. This is 14g of Net Carbs. Not a negative. There is no negating the carbs here. I've checked a lot of beans and I am not coming up with anything in the negative.

Can I cook the rice and potatoes and still get the same positive effect if I eat reheated leftovers? Or does the good starch in the cooled potatoes turn bad again in the microwave? And what about adding potato starch to food (including hot foods) instead of drinking in water?

Yuri, first thanks for all the video tips, I'm just starting down the road to better health and weight loss. I'm over weight, middle aged, and for the first time ever had a surprisingly high blood sugar reading 2 wks ago. I quit white sugar and all things made of white or wheat flour cold turkey, I was very scared. So far I'm doing good and don't miss it much anymore. I've added greens and bought the beans, lentils and chick peas (yum), I'll look for the potato flour next grocery visit. You mentioned rice pudding but can you give me a good replacement ingredient for the sugar please. Would honey work and be ok?

Shruthi Reddy Youcan reheat the cooled rice and eat it warm. The science is in cooking then cooling first.

potatoe starch has sulfites in it and asthmatics are allergic to it. Real potatoes are ok

Barb Harrington It just needs to have been cooked,then cooled. You can reheat any of the resistant starch foods and eat warm.

Alec K You can reheat the cooled rice. The science is to cook then cool. Once that’s done, eat it at the temp you want.
