Last time I remember ordering McDonald's, I ordered two Double Quarter Pounders meals plus one small Strawberry shake for me and my dad and ended up paying around $26 and we both thought it was ridiculous. Then later in the month, we went to Wendy's and ordered two Dave's Double meals plus a small chili for him and ended up around $18 and we were both surprised on how cheap the meals were at Wendy's compared to what we payed at McDonald's

Burger King is ridiculously cheap, in Canada at least! The recent coupons show prices comparable to what they were pre-Covid. I think the price was $7.59 CAD for a Whopper combo.

You're paying for quality of food. Other than Five Guys, which will cost you close to $20, Wendy's has the best burgers, at least on the east coast.

I can’t believe they didn’t mention Checkers. I go to all the inexpensive fast food places (so that leaves out overpriced Chick-fil-A, Chipotle, Popeyes) Checkers has two for $4 sandwich items. and their chicken bites with fries box and dipping sauce, only cost $3.49. I just got all of these last week. (May 2023) in Orlando, FL.

...here in VA Beach, a Big Mac is over $7! An Egg McMuffin is over $4 ! Fries are $5 ! ...I make everything at home now...

I miss 29 cent hamburger and 39 cent cheeseburger days at McDonalds. Does anyone remember that? I was in middle school at that time in the late 90's, it was perfect timing being a broke ass skater boy.

Don’t waste your money on any of them. These fast food companies are now charging the same amount as some of your more elegant options locally. It’s more expensive to get a shitty burger at McDonald’s with a french fry then an entire number two at In-N-Out Burger. That is preposterous to me and both are a mile away from each other.

To be fair, you have to factor in the price of the Pepto Bismal, when comparing Taco Bell's prices.

McDonalds used to have the 99 cent big mac promotion in my area in the early 90s. Let's just say my family ordered half the cow. They really sucked in the microwave.

App is great for mcdonalds but select restaurants also did big mac monday for a cheaper big mac.

None of this garbage is worth what they are charging these days. You're better off eating at home or paying a few extra dollars for a decent restaurant.

Like the old saying goes, we get what we pay for, and certainly, fast food isn't an exception to that premise. Also, it's to be expected that places where they never use frozen beef will be pricier than those with the freezers at their facility, regardless of each franchisee.

These days, Five Guys is very pricy.

Dave's Double is top tier from Wendys. I eat it and feel good after, and the taste blows Big Macs and Whoppers away

Why do people complain about the prices when eating out. If you are to lazy to meal prep and make your own meals cheaper then you shouldn't be complaining for convenience of fast food.

I don’t do OPF other people’s food, for good reason it’s overpriced garbage. I can purchase plenty of groceries for my home than some drive through. I don’t visit any of these except Whataburger when I’m on the go.

Chipotle and Chick-fil-A are overrated in my opinion those prices are not worth it.

McDonald's does not serve real food. Burger King is barely better, and Wendy's is the best of the three, even though the fry oil is horrendous. I can't do Chick, due to specific ingredient problems, yet they have the best fry oil (peanut). The rest of your list is outside my pallet range.
