I enjoy my versions of the Paper Plane, where I always dial down the lemon juice to 10 ml and dial up all other ingredients to 30 ml. This way the drink is not excessively tasty (which I dislike) and you can definitely feel the contribution of the Bourbon, besides the Amaro and Aperol. I never had Amari Nonino, but I have used Ramazzotti or Jägermeister, both of which are doing a great job.

These are all cocktails that I enjoy so much!! Thanks for the terrific video and a great reminder to make these as I haven't in awhile!! I really enjoy the Del Maguey Mezcal and if I can find it I pick up the Del Maguey Chichicapa!! Outstanding and so delicious! It elevates the cocktail! Amaro Nonino in the Paper Plane makes this cocktail so amazing!! Sam Ross is a genius!! Cheers!! 🙂

Thank you! and I know about the reminder… kinda forgot how good a Paper Plane was. Well worth exploring with other base spirits as well.
