i am actually praying to get something video focused from panasonic, i know they do hybrids really well but i would sprint to a upgraded s1h, eva1 or bs1h like camera. shit, even olpf and internal nds is a stretch but imagine LMAO.
Very interesting. I always interpreted their comments about 8k video as being more about their video oriented cameras like the S1H, rather than a blanket statement about 8k in any camera. I think most videographers and filmmakers would prefer 6K with higher frame rate options, especially in open gate mode, over chasing higher resolution with less options. That said, would fully expect that they would put some form of 8K video in any camera that has an enough resolution, like the S1Rii Also, to me, it sounded more like his response about video cameras was more in reference to their cinema camera line like the Varicam or the EVA1, but maybe I misunderstood it. Either way, I’m excited to see what they roll out!
When I was saying no dedicated video cameras that’s what I was referring to. I don’t consider hybrid cameras as true video cameras. I would personally rather have a camera that’s exclusively video that can output the best video quality but it looks like Panasonic is steering away from that.
